Exactly. Sheriff Joe failed at life so he blames everything but himself. They are a dime a dozen. You see these yahoos at any local watering hole. They also are the target demographic of Fox news

Stafford is a certain future HOF'er, 11th most passing yards in history, one ahead of Elway, still not "old" and if he plays again will move up a few notches on the all time list.

He was a warrior in Detroit, mostly a very bad team with a terrible OL, no running games, and not enough WR weapons most of the time, got massacred physically and stayed in games, hurt, played his heart out.

THEN won the Super Bowl last yr, this yr Rams OL was one of the worst 3 in the NFL, and he got massacred again.

I don’t think he was ever a top 5 QB in the league, and if that’s the case I don’t think he’s a future HOFer (unless I don’t know what a HOFer is)

I remember people said rivers was a future HOFer when he retired, I was like what??????

Another dumb ass boomer who probably votes Trump/Republican. At least you people are dying off. I'm neither a boomer nor a millennial but it isn't the millennial who destroyed this country
Wrong. Millennials voted for Obama and want bigger more intrusive govt overall.

First 2 examples speculation

3rd is fact
You are a dipshit if you believe the 3rd point. Two time loser Trump even lost to Hillary by 3 million in the popular vote. You are following the biggest grifter in US history.

Not sure if you were up that night at 12-1am, but did you know that he was so far ahead, sports books had him like -3000 or more?
Dumb ass, those were off shore books who didn't know any better that the mail in votes hadn't come in yet. I made a killing

Gawd damn man. Turn off Fox News. I should know better, most degenerate gamblers are dumb Republicans making 40K a year voting GOP. Besides I think 2022 proved the GOP is about intrusive government. Just look to the Supreme Court

If you respect variance, then you need to respect it all the way around

Acting like Patriots winning 6 was some outlier/tail end distribution outcome is pretty inaccurate if you followed sport closely during that time frame

Hell they didn’t even win it when they had their best team

A ton of players always didn’t care, who cares?

It’s a show on tv and most of us on here wouldn’t watch a minute without action on it. The teams are laundry owned by billionaires, I root for Celts/NE cause I always have but I don’t care much if they win or not.

What’s this have to do with risk/reward calculus on a stafford/Goff trade though? Given rams were a top 5-10ish team with a small window, I thought it was a fine deal regardless of result. That’s really my original point.

Even if McVay a clown wtf you care? Atleast he knows what gender he is and isn’t voting for socialism. Can’t say him jumping ship bothers me.
Some people get caught up in the minutia of every stat and comparison, then don't even mention which players seem to try harder or want it more. Odd.

I know the Lions have sucked forever, but Stafford definitely played a role in their futility. He had an annoying knack for making the worst throws at the worst possible moments, which cost the Lions many games. No doubt he was a gunslinger, but I'd place his ability to read NFL defenses and overall football IQ below average.

You are actually pretty solid on sports analysis---unless it's about a team/player ur a fan boy of...

Then all rational goes out the door and falling on knees begin.

Saying bengals or chiefs didn’t seem to want it more in their SBs is just working backwards though. Most of the time when peope gauge motivation after the fact, it is because a result didn’t go the way they expected it to. So rather than just be wrong or accept it, they have to create a narrative around why it happened that can’t really be refuted.

Agree Stafford being on a bum team for a decade wasn’t coincidence, he’s always battling one injury or another as well. I’m not calling him a HOFer believe me.

But his 2021 was clearly much better than Goff previous 2 years and he played pretty well in the playoffs. I don’t think Goff was doing that on the Rams but I can’t prove it. Was Kupp 2021 emergence happening either way or do we give Staff some credit for that? I’d probably give him some credit since Kupp wasn’t exactly a rookie and had been around, but all we can do is make educated guesses and that’s what makes the world go round.

Either way, I don’t see a big deal about trading some picks and overrating stafford even. Not like the owner has to file BK if it fails, no one cares about the rams anyway.

I tend to favor being bold with these teams, if you’re wrong you still get to live in a mansion. And seems like more of them are understanding that.

I never said Stafford wasn't an upgrade over Goff. I'm just not sure debating the NFL's #9 QB vs #14 QB (or whatever) serves any purpose since the middle tier is the most crowded in the league. Definitely not worth TWO firsts and a 3rd. Also, the Ramsey trade...

Anyway, Rams window was short, now they stink and need to rebuild, something apparently McVay wants no part of.

I actually think Stafford would be a Hall of Famer if he churned out 3-5 more seasons......seems almost impossible though
