Your obsession with numbers is definitely a millennial thing...at least at this level.

You don't need numbers to prove the top 5 QBs in the league at any given time. It's rather obvious, everyone just kinda knows.

Eli's family name will carry weight, as will his Super Bowl hardware and SB MVPs, not to mention the dragons he slayed, as you pointed out. And I'm not even saying I would vote for him, it's just how he's perceived.

Eli's just a notch bellow Big Ben, and I think Big Ben gets in. Like I said, on the cusp...
How in god's name is Eli a notch below Ben?

Cuz Tyree made that catch?

Ben is worlds ahead of Eli

Rams fans should have no complaints. McVay took the team to two Super Bowls and won at SoFi where the team hosted the game. That is the ultimate win like Brady did the year before in Tampa. You can say he is bailing but if you asked fans before he was hired would you be happy with two Super Bowl appearances and a trophy they wouldn't hesitate by giving a resounding yes. Here is what I think happens. Brady signed the contract with Fox but I don't think he really wants to call games. He will play another year, retire and spend time with his children. Won't be surprised if he gets offered a piece of a team in the league. Who wouldn't want him as the face of a franchise. If Brady elects to decline Fox contract them McVay slides right in there with Olsen being demoted. McVay thinks he could be the next John Madden. I think Fox goes back to Brady right after the season and tells him by delaying joining the network another year puts them in a real tough spot. They like Olsen but let's face it. He's not a big time announcer. They want a name with cache like Aikman, Romo or Collingsworth. It doesn't always work. Sean Payton is terrible on Fox. He only took the gig to take a year off from coaching. Payton has no personality on TV. Really smart coach but that doesn't always translate to TV. Brady or McVay may also bust on TV.

Sean Peyton leaving the saints was likely for similar reasons so I don’t understand the millennial part. Peyton was still under contract but when Brees left Peyton didn’t want to go through a rebuild either. It also seems clear that he will only go to an organization that is close and he is the last piece and not one of the first

Is it so wrong to suggest the man is a quitter? Does anyone think he'd be leaving a contender? I don't

He mortgaged their future. Not a great strategy in any walk of life

I prefer a more sustained management style. A few teams and coaches have achieved long term consistency, Sean McVay is not one of them.

No doubt he'll land another job. Chances are he'll burn bright and burn out quickly AGAIN. Time will tell

My sources LOL, have told me he is done being a GM and HC.
He has a standing offer from a network to be an analyst in the studio.

This sounds an awful lot like on surveys when they ask you if you believe you have above average intelligence and I believe the number who responded yes is around 70 percent.

Meaning there is a large percent of people who have even below average intelligence that think they have above average...

But to your point---if you think this happened and with the amount of people that needed to be involved and the number of people that would risk their lavish lives all over Trump and 4 years----well then u must really believe Trump is as important and powerful as he believs he is...

Beyond amazing everyone kept their mouth shut also

Also I am guessing you believe 9/11 was an inside job.

The only split i see from Trump and 9/11 is only a percentage of you believe Newton was a hoax.

2020 was stolen. With pandemic voting law changes, mailing ballots to everyone enabling vote harvesting, faux racism and blaming the pandemic on Trump.

The dumbest people are easy to mold and manipulate with all that poppycock

In the meantime, everything is worse today because liberals really suck at policy. They're only capable of lying, and their flock believes them year after year as they destroy everything they touch

Yes. Republican are such independent thinkers.

I wonder who the sheep even are----since it always seems to be everyone else but not I

Edit: u can twist "cheating" however you would like to make ur party seem more reasonable---but you fully know that isn't what is being discussed on here or out there when they say cheating is the reason Trump lost

That’s ridiculous both parties lick ass and do the same shit. You make it seem like they don’t get payed by the same employer. How it’s portrayed is a real shocker. If any of these clowns had any accounting skills and cared then maybe it wouldn’t be such a shit show. Trump is a piece of shit but not a politician. He is a democrats wet dream. The biggest patsy ever elected.

Great coach. Took over moribund franchise, Jeff Fischer went 4-9. In 5 seasons McVay has gone 55-26 and been to 2 super bowls. Hes newly married to a Ukrainian beauty. The writing is on the wall, this rams team needs to bite the bullet and begin a rebuild. Trade aging stars for draft picks, the mirror of what they did in their super bowl winning year. Create cap space and bring in young talent.

Is it not okay for McVay to opt out? Reportedly, he was offered 20 million last year to be an analyst for 1 of the networks. Add to that, the high probability of his being burned out. Its like Chris Rock said, "men are only as faithful as their options."

McVay is earning 14 million from rams this year. Reportedly, amazon offered 100 million for 5 years. Hes 36. Is it not reasonable, to take the 100 million, start a family, regain some balance in his life and return at 41. I'm just saying, anyone who has felt burned out, might understand his interest in stepping off what appears to be a titanic-like situation, and take a raise and hugely decreased work load.

I don’t think anyone in this thread isn’t saying he’s getting going when the going is good, he obviously is.

The question is why would anyone care? It’s some football team in LA with 11 fans that won a SB 11 months ago. They just had more success the last 6 years than half the league has had in the last 20.

And they will have their picks again starting in ‘24 where they can chase the dream like about 20 other teams right now, the horror! I’ll be sure to write their billionaire owner a card with my condolences

He also looks like he'll cheat on his model wife with a guy...but I should probably keep those thoughts to myself.

It's telling many see nothing wrong with this ? ? ?

"There's a growing sense that he will [step down]. My understanding is it's not because of burnout or he wants to get into TV, he won a Super Bowl and now he's facing a multi-year rebuild that he just doesn't want to be apart of..."

After emptying the cupboard, LA has nothing to offer him. Time to go seek greener pastures.

As one poster put it, McVay fancies himself the "final piece" as opposed to the first piece.

Meanwhile, the Andy Reids, the Mike Tomlins, the Bill Belichicks, the Pete Carolls etc. grind year after year.

I am PRAYING he ends up in Dallas!
