If only surviving(pay the bills) is your goal, then clipping coupons and eating free buffets may be the way to go. But, if you are trying to build wealth, at some point in your journey you are going to have to raise the stakes or fold your hand. Good Luck

Try not to let this dominate your life, I know how it can do that. Went at this for 5-6 years solid , did very well and by the time Neteller went down, i was ready for a huge break because of the burnout. Basically haven't been back since March of last year. Probably won't be back until we get some of those advantages back offshore like we had. Don't even miss it yet to be honest and nobody went at this like I did.To many other projects on the horizon anyway. I'm sure you'll do Ok, but give yourself another out to break things up from time to time. Make sure to give a shout out to kermit, he can dig up some futures for you like no one else, good way to grind out some money on them.

I understand what your saying, but I was just the opposite.

I could gamble/whore/study/etc/etc 24/7 and never get burnout.......it's really something I never, never get tired of.

Its sad, embarrassing, and totally sick..........but 100% the truth. Don't think I've ever met anyone on the Vegas scene that was in the attack mode more day to day for such long hours on such a long consistant basis. Although it is the adjectives I listed above, modestly speaking, it was/is also kind of self-fulfilling to me(which REALLY makes it sick).

ICE-Don't want to tease you by saying this, but really wish I was out there, for however short of time, to show you around and give you some input. With or without me though, I know for a fact you will be just fine.

Ice, shoot me an email again if you could please.

Thanks
FH

Who Knows, it might not happened to me either , but when the BOS books went down, , Millenium, MVP, V Wager, which i lost alot of money, then Neteller went down, it kinda sucked the life out of me. My profit margin went down too without shops like Pinny around .

I am here first and foresmot to bet sports. My goal is to put around 500k thru the books a month and to win at 2% ROI. The GF and whatever I decide to do on my other time making money will pay our bills. I just hope to go one on one with the books (offshore and casinos) to try and build my bankroll.

Building wealth is the ultimate goal. My philiosophy has always been huge volume, with small edges by working my ass off finding every great price/bet. I did this at about half this level while in Michigan. My plan is too double the time, and stakes while I am here.

Grew to dislike the growth the city had, the pollution, the traffic, the crime, and the absolute no culture the city provided.

It sucks beleive me, because the positives that Vegas provides cannot be found anyplace else in America.

Have actually entertained the thought of moving back, even if having to deal with the severe negatives. Chances are not favorable of this happening though at this stage in my life.

I agree FH. The traffic abd character of people make this town not have that home feeling. Maybe that will come in time to me but it's not close right now.

If you could give me my Michigan setup here in Vegas, tree lined streets with good people and average traffic. I would probably stay here forever. I hope to find that someday here. I will also say I think I am going to miss the fall and spring of the midwest!!

Don't think this is still true and really don't think so since most books are tied in now to other properties.

But back in the day Reno was dealing nickel lines at some places as the competition was fierce.

The competition is still fierce as for hotel comps are plentiful but sports betting is almost frowned upon at casinos these days.

But for what Iceman has set out to do seems to me a lower cost of living would help the equation all though Reno is a dump but living up in the hills is nice living with Tahoe just over the Mts.

But then again his wife would not land a job as easy there I would imagine.

scratch professional gambler off my list of things to do

I had to finally stop lurking, after 7 years, and register, just to say "nice hand" to this. One of the greatest things I've ever read here.
