And of course Christ taught Unconditional Forgiveness...the ol' seventy times seven counsel was just a starting point

When we learn how to unconditionally love and to unconditionally forgive, we become one with Christ

Try it...You'll Like It

Barman mixing up two very distinct concepts.

Jesus taught that we are to forgive one another.

Jesus also taught that God is a holy God that requires us to repent
from our wicked ways, and follow Him.

No where in Scripture or in Church History can you find the Unity Cult
nonsense that *all* men are unconditionally forgiven *all*their sins by
God (which would include -> Hitler, Dahlmer, Osama, ....).

Your view of God is of some pansy Santa Claus in the sky that just gives everyone everything they want.

Think again.

Are you trying to convert me or get me to join the Moonies?

[sorry, I did that for FZ][lol]

Once you've practiced Unconditional Love and Unconditional Forgiveness, you'll be one with Christ. But you're not required to tell anyone or make any public demonstrations unless you lurk on a Sports Handicapping Forum with no interest in Sports Handicapping.

Only then will you need to waste your life telling the world how and why God will burn them in Hell Fire.

Hey Zit! If God isn't like Santa Claus, how come he gave us this beautiful world to live in?

All men are forgiven for all sins, which is the Good News of the New Testament.

Once we learn and accept that, we no longer need to fear death.

Once we no longer need to fear death, we are more able to practice unconditional love and unconditional forgiveness towards ourselves and others.

Of course murderers are ultimately forgiven.

Christ himself appealed that the Roman soldiers who were murdering him would be forgiven.

They of course still have a long path to travel in their eternal quest for enlightenment, but we'll never know how, where and when that happens.

That's frustrating to the people who want to pass final judgement NOW.

But the job of judgement is not ours. Once we relieve ourselves of that burden, it becomes much easier to understand that even those who we view as most heinous on this plane of existence will have the opportunity to evolve to a higher spiritual level somewhere else down the eternal road of spiritual life.

A key component to God's Unconditional Love for us is that She never, ever gives up on any of us - regardless of our level of error(s).

We as mankind might indeed take a murderer or a rapist and consign them to various levels of punishment or segregation from the community.

But on a higher level (God's) we are all eternally forgiven and given the eternal opportunity to continue to evolve spiritually.

For most of us, that quest will take place beyond this plane of existence. Which admittedly can be a drag to those who are hell-bent on Keeping Score right here, right now.

And it's of course good news for those of us (like ME...and like YOU) who have a long list of failings, errors and shortcomings which might still be with us at the moment we depart from this plane.

Need to find a good video clip where someone screams "HALLELUJAH!"

Your view of God is of some pansy Santa Claus in the sky that just gives everyone everything they want.

It tends to be a bit more inspiring than viewing God as a stiff, wrathful and unrelenting presence who takes a short list of humans (homos, killers, rapists, atheists, Jews, Muslims) and impales them on a smoking tine to be placed on the eternal cooking fire of "Hell".

And of course, God gives everyone ANYTHING they want.

She tells us throughout the New Testament and Old Testament and via many other inspired writings of the ages that "We can have whatever we desire in our hearts"

"All things are possible for he who believes"

etc

Once you can wrap your spiritual heart around these awesome promises, God no longer is a scary, vengeful, discriminatory God.

Instead, you come to realize that She is the most awesome power in the Universe and that we as humans can tap into that power at any moment we wish.

I need a video clip where someone screams, "AMEN BROTHER!"

Barman, You seem to have a very unique belief system. You talk of unconditional forgiveness, refer to God as a she, claim to talk with the dead, and talk of tapping into God's power at any moment we wish. As an individual who claims to seek "The Truth" what is the source of this belief system or where does it stem from? You talk of the Old and New Testaments, however I know the scriptures and your beliefs are not backed up by them. So by what authority are they backed by?

Demons.

1 Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons.

I disagree. I think he actually believes most of the shit he posts on here.

You can't go from Mormonism to the Unity Cult Church without being
a serious loony. On top of that he admits to being a cocaine,
amphetamine and alcohol abuser.

Well yeah but he says the hard stuff was in the past & he beat it....I just find it hard to believe that somebody with a good writing imagination would actually believe all that science fiction.

I just love when people poke fun at The Creator and act as if He is incapable of doing anything He pleases. Thats like a turd making fun of a sunset.

Exactly. The great Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans:

18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth. 19) For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20) Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse; 21) for although they knew God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened. 22) Claiming to be wise, they became fools.

'I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to babes. Yes, O Father, because to do thus came to be the way approved by you.'

^ This comes from the book of Matthew and to me its very telling.

The first thing you must do if you’re going to have this type of debate is to address why the debate is worth having in the first place. It should also be said, that there is a level of a biased argument on each side, so therefore that take away from the debate itself. The reality is… there is nothing logically anyone here or anywhere else that could say that would make you faithful question what you believe because your beliefs are bound by faith… not critical thinking or what some might say as logic. So no logic could ever prove otherwise. Faith is hard to pin down because its a choice you make in your brain to believe what it feels, through emotion, because in this case there is no logic behind this faith. Take some of the divine pieces of Christianity. Its not logical to believe in a immaculate conception or resurrections or talking to supernatural beings. This defies human logic (not God logic). Being im a human and cant assume to think how a God thinks and to somehow suggest that is the problem… is nothing but pentagonal logic. These beliefs of the corner stone of Christianity (Holy Trinity) are no doubt illogical. So, right off the bat, there lies an obvious disconnect. Now, my argument isn’t to slam any religion or “disprove” anyone, my argument is that the argument itself is flawed.
