Is he really a C's fan

Weird thing is that the HEAT have played both the bucks and celtics in the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 years (HEAT won 2 out of 3 on each) and i dont see a rivalry or hatred with either team.

Its more fun beating a boston team but its more of a football thing.

Didnt really see a rivalry during Lebron's 4 years here with the C's. They ran their mouths and hated us. We just beat em every time.

Lebron's 55 in that game 6 was just AWESOME.

Its pretty cool when Lebron is on your favorite team. However when he leaves for a "bitchy move", he becomes someone i dont like

Heck, Ray Allen is still "Judas" to many C's fans

Funny how Jonny Damon got his 15 minutes of fame this weekend for rooting for the celtics. Yet he jumped ship to join the yankees
I grew up in New England in the Larry Bird era, big fan of those teams. Living in Texas during the Spurs runs, and loving the way they played the game, was a big Spurs fan.

Nowadays I prefer to watch college basketball.

Was he given a COVID test....

Robert Williams was throwing up during the game. He only played 14 minutes last night. He was coming in and coming out of the game. When he would come out, he would throw up. He was dealing with a stomach virus, a stomach bug that he played through. He was sick yesterday, he was sick going into the day, only played 14 minutes and that's a guy that the Celtics have depended on a lot over the course of the last couple of years."
How many minutes did he normally play in play-offs when healthy? 15? Haha

Can't feel bad for Celtic fans....they have had Patriots and Red Sox success to fill in for the Celtic shortcomings

Ridiculous if Celtic fans have any ill will towards Ray Allen though. Large part of their only championship in the last 36 years

Game 3- 12 minues
Game 4- 23 minues
Game 5- 17 minues
Game 6- 17 minutes

He averaged 17 min a game in the prior 4 games. So only playing 14 minutes really isnt a stretch

Whats the next excuse Celtics fans?

Were 2 players on their period?
Was an 845 a too late of start for Tatum like game 2?
Did Marcus Smart's hair dye tire out his body?
Did Coach Joe forget that he's not sitting in the 2nd row anymore?

Freaking excuses by this team

Boston loss was embarrassing as was Milwaukee.(its why the coach was fired just days after)

You can't be that much better and than complain because you lost a player or 2 during the series.

If Miami had lost Jimmy yeah Miami fans have a right to complain as the team is such a dog to begin with---boston/milwaukee have NO excuses. Period.

Thats 2 great dynasties

I used to watch a lot of college hoops but hardly watched lately. I hate the 1 and done rule as i dont know these players

Still enjoy march madness but its also probably b/c of gambling

Not to mention Boston got away with one of their classic meltdowns in Game 6 because of the bounce of a ball

Tatum/Brown is kind of an off brand Durant/Westbrook in a way

Very talented best player, but is a little passive and frankly too nice

Erratic second-best player who is also very talented and tries to be the leader of the team/takes too many shots

Not sure you wont to commit $600 mil to keeping both

Thread is off the rails but who didn’t give the heat credit?

Only person I saw say they thought the heat had some improbable run and they were an 8 seed caliber team that is now overvalued is crude. Thus why he’s pounding Nuggets -375 against them, biggest finals fav of last 20 years besides GS/cavs 2018.

It is really? I would have assumed maybe one of the Warriors teams, but I guess 2017 Warriors were only like -270....kind of surprising given that might be the best team ever, though that Cavs was also damn good

I remember 2018 Warriors were like -1000

A little hard to believe nothing worse than -400 besides that in last 20 years?

Lakers/heat in the bubble is probably right around Nuggs range.

ditto spurs/cavs 2007….big favs like that might vary by book a bit

They are very much an 8 seed. I mean they had a negative point differential in the regular season.

This is the most improbable run to the Finals i have ever seen. If they even challenge Denver i'll give them all the props in the world and say i was wrong.

Denver beat Durant and Lebron easily---if they go and lose to Jimmy Butler with a much worse supporting cast---well OMG. Greatest run ever in sports.

No excuse. A serious question for the rest/best of the world. Probably only way Miami wins if Covid returns... Entertainment purposes only... I hope Oscar returns to UK next year

I think we have a big enough sample of Butler/Bam/Spo to say a negative PD in reg season is noise (reg season increasingly useless) but yeah, I’d say if you think the heat aren’t a top 10 team in the nba then you’re probably the one I’d say is “disrespecting them”

Don’t think anyone else itt had/has that lowly opinion of them.

Yes. the Heat are so great they can throw the regular season.

The team was so average they couldn't even avoid the play-in. So sure of themselves they threw the Hawks game. Then so sure of themselves they "played" with the bulls.

But we shall see. If Miami even gets 1 in Denver i;ll be shocked.

Why can't they just be an 8 seed that has had an incrediale run?

This isnt the NCAA tourney where they got lucky once

They beat the top 2 regular season teams in a best of 7 in this playoff run

A few people have asked me what chances do the HEAT have in beating Denver

I tell them the same chance they had against the Bucks and Celtics

Yes. and they are playing another team that has also been disrespected and undervalued all season. That has flown through the play-offs.

Remember your Heat lost 3 straight with 2 of those games on their home floor. They have come back from numerous double digit deficits.

GL if you can pull if off against a hungry and focused denver team.

I won't have any excuses for Denver if they lose as they are that much better and should win easily. If this goes a hard 6 ill admit i was still wrong on this series. Though I would take the win money wise. :)

Crude once you quote a post wrong it messes up the whole thread

That’s fair if you don’t think heat are a top 10 team. Just saying you were the only one I saw in the thread “disrespecting them”, you said nuggs should be -1200 in the finals. That’s bigger than GS was over the cavs when the cavs 2nd best player was JR Smith.

Think everyone else’s opinion of the heat is they were the 3rd best team in the conf and pulled a few upsets. Saying a team benefitted from some misfortune (like Giannis missing 3 games) isn’t disrespecting them. They made the most of that opening. People are too espn/sports radio programmed these days.
