First Look

This goes back to post 57 yesterday and their totally absurd/out of touch with reality pricing for both PS subscribers for this uyear, 2020 and 2021 and non PS

subcribers.

Again to claim that the retail value of a full week of Full Executive which includes everything that NC puts out but the kitchen sink with a supposed

retail value of $399 and/or tries to give the public the impression that Steele's/NC's picks are worth it is just plain insulting and just plain arrogant.

Thus discounting FES to $249 for this week and other discounts for other weeks for a PS subscriber for this year is not a discount at all and in reality

just brings down to a totally absurd price to one still unrealistic.

The cheesy added $10 and $20 added for FES for signing up for an additional one or two year subscription doesn't do it either.

First of all it is quite obvious to those who don't live in a world of fantasy and delusion that NC is struggling to sell anything these days because among other

things 1) the picks are very mediocre compared to lots of other services;2) are not cheap even with the phony discounts;3_VERY importantly just

about everything they pt out and most importantly The Late Phones are plastered all over the internet for free(as well

as the PowerSweep and PowerPlays Newsletters);4)the perceived and real lack of honesty, transparency and overall deceit of Phil Steele/NC.

Frankly because of the above I see no out for them and that things will only get worse.

That said, if I was in charge of the Marketing Dept., I might try something like this to try to turn things around:

Cut out the horseshit about a retail value of $399 for Full Executive Service-no one in their right mind is going to pay that.

In today's real competitive world of sports services it is worth $199 tops of 1/2 of the $399.

Think of it this way-if someone balks at paying out $99 for a one year subscription, it makes no sense whatsoever to conclude that they are going

to pay $399 for one week's service.

Thus using the NC format, my pricing would go something like this for Full Executive Service:

Non PS subscriber for the week $199.

A subscriber for PS for 2019 $99

A subscriber for 2019 and 2020 $89

a subscriber for 2019, 2020 and 2021 $79

Here we go with the comp. message and it is what I predicted.

One of the few things that Phil/NC could brag about in Week one is that they won all three top plays, all rated 4 stars.

Thus today on cue Todd tells us about the Top Three Trio(at CM I referred to is as The Top TURD Trio, but I am trying to clean it up a bit here at RX).

This week and moving forward the Top Three Trio includes the Top College Side, the Top College Total and the top NFL Play.

The price for a non PS subscriber is $150(good luck with that);a 2019 PS subscriber $75 and a 2020 subscriber $59(no mention of the 2021 subscriber today-

I wonder why lol)-I am not sure that if you don't take today's "Dinner Special" today, it will be in effect tomorrow as these specials change daily.

Also if you want the Economy Club Plays for the week, which are in essence just more plays pulled out of Phil's/NC's hat to try to 1) extort more

money out of the public and 2) another of many opportunities to claim something won if that turns out to be the case.

The pricing for this is $20 whether yo a PS or non PS subscriber-if Steele/the Marketing Dept. had any sense, they would have the same pricing

for everything whether they are a PS subscriber or not.

And oh yes after failing the first time to draw any interest at $109(and reverting price back to $99), Todd once again THREATENS that price

of PowerSweep is going back to $109 from $99 in a week-get in line real fast, folks, unless you want to be on the phone all day long

waiting your turn to take advantage of this "incredible savings. lol

ANYWAYS HERE YOU GO WITH THE ECONOMY #2 PLAY OF THE WEEK-APPALACHIAN STATE - 21 1/2.

Early Look

With the opening kickoff in the NFL toay, expect Phil/NC to try to make some hay with today's game and most likely linking it to a PowerSweep

Subscription or some other bogus promotion which tries to give the impression that the potential buyer is really saving money whereas

in fact all of the "bonuses" do is bring down the alleged absurd retail value down to a lower amount of money which is still too high.

Keep in mind that the NFL has been relatively good to them(see post 6-they actually had a winning season in 2018 without factoring in

the cost of service) and you will see why that is a very important aspect for them to concentrate on.

Ok here you go, folks with today's Dinner Specials on ext. 9 and 3, which in essence as usual are totally confusing, screwed up, make no sense and are in consistent

with what we heard earlier in thr week.

Extension nine-no real problems here-the Marquee cost $12 if that is all you want.

THE BIG DOG COMP. OF THE WEEK IS EASTERN MICHIGAN +15.

The real fun and confusion is with ext. 3.

First of all Todd alludes to the earier "dinner specials" this week as mentioned in previous posts.

He doesn't repeat them but simply says to refer to the current PowerSweep Issue for more clarification.

The only problem with that is what if you are not a PS Subscriber and/or don't know where to find the issue on a computer for free or for that

matter, don't even know it is available on PC for free, then what?

Oh I get it-then you have to call the NC so that they can confuse and bamboozle you with BS while explaining it will fly.

Now here is where it gets interesting and Phil Steele/NC show how cheap they are as well as what poor marketers they are.

Predictably we are told about The Late Phone "Dinner Special" going for the weekend..

You get The Saturday Late Phone Sides(but NOT the totals), the Sunday NFL Late Picks(usually 3) and the Monday Night Marquee(usually)

a total)but NOT the Star Rated Side Play for the following prices:

1) Non PS Subscriber $150

2) 2019 PS Subscriber $99

3) 2019 and 2020 Subscriber $75

Lets talk about the non PS subscriber because that is what is used as the standard in this thread.

So today we are told he will pay $150 for what is described above.

Earlier this week we were told that Full Executive Service cost $399.

Thus my interpretation of that is that for the additional $249, you get tonight's Marquee for free, the Saturday college totals(usually cost about $50 total),

several Saturday Marquees for last week(they sold for $12 total last Saturday) along with some opinions for Saturday along with the Marquees

and opinions for Sunday along with the Monday night side,

For me that seems a lot of extra money for the added Marquees and especially the opinions all of which simply DECREASE your

chances of winning.

Hopefully Steele/NC realize that Full Executive Service is only for suckers, but hope that there are at least a fee morons out there

who believe that playing more games actually increases their chances of winning and thus will shell out the extra money.

That's it-draw your own conclusions.

THE NFL TOTALS COMP. OF THE WEEK IS UNDER 45 1/2 IN THE GIANTS GAME.

This pretty much what the Phil Steele/NC Daily Specials amount to, namely never changing bullshit no matter how hard they try to disguise it.

Quick Opener

Imo some of you may find this interesting if you don't already know it.

Yes the article was written in 2007, but for me it could have been written today or back in 1982 when Phil Steele started NC, because his modus operandi has

remained the same throughout.

And to be fair, if some of you are saying that the same could be said about me for obsessing about him and NC, well you are right. lol

Seriously there is nothing wrong per se as long as the people and their significant others are content with this kind of behavior.

However, imo in Phil's NC's case unlike me, other people can be and have been affected negatively financially if things don't work out(namely his picks

don't get the job done).

Also in his case based on what the article and he himself says, there is a sense of narcissism about him in that he feels that his work, handicapping

skills and score projections are infallible and that if he loses a pick(which happens quite regularly), it is the fault of the players and teams for

not doing what they were supposed to do according to his work;this in itself is not healthy for those who are thinking of buying/playing

his picks as arrogance and inflexibility are never conducive to success.

I also question how much good all of that Mountain Dew does him-I have one or two soft drinks a day but 9 in the morning alone!!!

Anyways without further a"dew," here is the article.

Back later with the take on the comp. message along with the Friday and/or Weekend "Dinner Specials."

Ok-the comp. message for ext.9 is out(no change today on ext. 3) and there are no real surprises.

Todd tells us about the easy win on UNDER GB last night.

Then we are told that tonight's College Marquee can be purchased for $12 (if one doesn't already have it included in one of the other packages).

Then we are told that you can buy PowerSweep or PowerPlays for single issues for $10(for any dope ad/or who was born yesterday and who

doesn't know it is available for free on line here or other sites).

Then the usual threat that PS is going back to $109 next week(for the second time after it didn't work the first time lol).

And then we are told once again about the only thing which did well last week, The Top Three Rio, and the same pricing mentioned on Wednesday.

AND NOW WHAT YOU ARE REALLY WAITING FOR, THE COMP. PLAY, WHICH IS THE BIG TEN PLAY OF THE WEEK ON PURDUE - 6 1/2.

Thanks Buzz Kill for posting that.

Having just taken a quick glance at Phil's two Inside the Poopbox, oops, I mean Inside the Pressbox Publications, the only question is whether

I would be best served by reading them when I have a severe case of diarrhea and have to sit on the hopper for an extended period of time and/or when I am

suffering from a severe case of insomnia.

I have a hunch that there will be lot of Late Phone Plays today and some SCRIPTED to be 4 and 3 1/2 stars as Phil/NC hope that by throwing out the

bait that there might be a few out there who will take it.

Back later hopefully with the plays in a timely manner.

Ok here you go with the comp. message ONLY for now.

For those of you who want only the comps, they are:

Ext. 9 COLLEGE TOTAL COMP. OF THE WEEK-UNDER CALIFORNIA 43

EXT.3 COLLEGE SIDE COMP. OF THE WEEK UTSA + 25

For those who want more both ext. 9 and ext. 3 contain have Saturday "Dinner Specials" as do the other days of the week.

Ext. 9 All three star rated totals for $75, and top total only for $50.

I didn't hear any mention of they are cheaper for those on board for the other packages where this is not included.

Also three Marquees for $12(the same as last week).

Ext.3 The same type of FORCED/CONTRIVED promo as in ext. 9 this time involving the side.

All star rated sides for $100 or top side for $50.

In short if you are a non PS subscriber and want all the star rated sides and totals, you can get them for the "bargain price" of $150.

4* Rutgers + 18 Final Score Iowa 30 Rutgers 0 LOSER
4* Syracuse +1 Final Score Maryland 63 Syracuse 20-"bad luck" LOSER

4* under San Diego st / ucla

3* under western Michigan / Michigan st

Lets just say that the day isn't over yet but those two 4 star losers, especially the Rutgers pick, seriously calls into question Phil Steele's handicapping

skills/ability at this point.

3* Central Michigan + 35-Final Score Wisconsin 61 Central Michigan ZERO-Another "tough luck/we were on the right side" LOSER!! lol

Phil/NC MIGHT eke out a winner on Nebraska up by 7 with less than four minutes to play but no guarantee.

I spoke too soon-Nebraska a LOSER in ot-0-4 on the day with sides with Texas Tech minus 34 or so left to go-good luck with that!

Could Phil Steele/NC be turning to the original LOSER Lang(the current on has been hot)??

UNDER San Diego State wins as top total play.
