absolutely nothing wrong with his posts in this thread... and to be honest, it doesnt matter if the kid went awol and was a coward or if he was a good soldier captured during combat... obama fucked up, broke the law, opened the can of worms that will come back to bite us over and over and set a precedent that screams of weakness by giving in to a lopsided deal... the facts dont get much clearer

Nah....im sure obama has better lawyers with more knowledge about the law than you do. In fact, we now know that certain provisions in the law give him the power to do exactly what he did. These 5 released terrorists will probably be dead in the next few months and none of you guys will even mention it. It didnt weaken anything.

Agree with all except yes, it does change the game drastically. Say you're 10-years-old and you've gone to bed during the school week each nigh at 9:00. Your dad lets you stay up one night to 10:00. What do you do the following day? You try everything possible to stay up late again because you know now you've gotten away with it once. In this case, our policy on not negotiating with terrorists is no longer our policy. It's game on now.
