I guess i suck Slim because i don't like bashing of posters. That will not change.

I guess you were always a great knowledgable book advocate with the feeling that books dont make mistakes.

God forgive a person who comes to a Watchdog site with a complaint that may stray a few customers. Fact is, if a book was so damn good, they would care less about a few complaints.

I dont see Oly here complaining because they know this post wont hurt them a bit. It's one persons opinion, but when he posts his opinion, some feel the need to make him feel stupid for even posting.

Give it up here. Almost all the guys you are talking to here work in the biz and would love to work for Oly.

None of these guys missed a winning bet because of a busy signal because they were all working.

Oly's a great book, a must. If you need a good phone book at crunch time their are plenty of good ones.

I know many regular posters know DickyW is a loser and scum but he has sunk to new depths calling Olympic a "shit book". No wonder one of the best books in the world wants nothing to do with this site.

And, if you read the 1st post (the one under the title), you will see that it was the Author of the post.

He has since said that he has cooled off, and is not as "pissed" that he was.

I agree, the title was bullshit, in fact, i thought the whole thing was ridiculous
, but, would it be fair for us to start dictating what can or can't be expressed in a thread title?

Now, if it had said "Avoid Olympic!! They ripped me off!" , then yeah, i might have stepped in and made a change to " I am having trouble with Olympic" or something along those lines.

It is not as easy as it appears, and nobody wants to be accused of "covering up" or "playing favorites" , just because we disagreed with what the person says.

i think its time for some of you guys to chill out and get a hobby or a girlfriend or both. I changed it after deciding that the title was unfair to olympic and after cooling down. One mistake (in MY opinion) does not mean that they suck. Lacking in proper customer service? yes, but not suck.I felt it was the right and fair thing to do. But i still hold true to my original opinion even if some of you disagree.

I contacted Olympic Sports on your behalf and spoke to "Keisha".

Olympic is rigid when it comes to taking plays after the game has gone off. That is really the bottom line, they just don't take plays after the game has gone off. Whether for $20 or $20,000, they just don't do it at all.

I don't see anything wrong with saying "Olympic Sucks" That is your opinion, so be it. Your opinion appears to be based entirely on the fact that they don't take plays after post time AND that they do not have ample phone access. That is a fair criticism! Great!

I understand where you are coming from. You have a bunch of people who work at books in here who always side with the book regardless of the circumstances and vice versa.
What I do, when a complaint is brought up, is take a look at what actually transpired. With the limited info on hand, I do not see any wrong doing by Oly in this case.
So I post that. The thing is, whatever side I come down on, someone is not going to be happy regardless.
I guess thats what makes a dispute, a dispute...

You did not post that you saw no wrongdoing by Olympic.

First, you dogged primetime for lodging a late complaint. You never asked him if he lodged a complaint already with Olympic, did you? Of course not.

Then you went ahead and posted a line on whether or not primetime would have posted if GB had covered. That is childish.

IMO, there is no reason not to ban Slim for his post, or at least give him a warning.

What kind of crap is that? It has no place. I hear that you are trying to reduce this crap on your site. Your problem is that you don't have any guidelines that apply EQUALLY to all posters. You put some people, like Slim, up on a pedistel according to their tenure, and that cuts directly against RESPECTING each other. You have people saying "fu*k you" and "go home" and "nobody likes you anyway.." and they get away with it because they are "well respected". That is a crock!

The guy should be banned, period.
