I also hope you are not picking games on the fly after seeing your early picks lost, that is a sure way to tilt your money down the drain. If it didn't look good at 1pm it shouldn't be touchable at 7pm IMO.

I know you are a pro, just giving you friendly reminders on stuff you no doubt already know, so please don't take any of it the wrong way.

"Looking to possibly add 3 more plays to the card, all in the late games, will post 30 minutes prior to tip..around 8:30 CT..until then GL to us.."

These plays were in the plans from the beginning, clearly, as I mentioned I would be adding them from early on..Wanted to see the results of the first 2 games, to determine how exactly I would use them for later, if at all..Chasing has never been an issue for me..Also, .5, is less than 1% of the money I have profited this year, starting bankroll not included, so you can understand, why it is too small for me to designate this amount to flatbet with. Having some tough luck lately, and getting the worst of 4th quarter collapses by teams, losing by hooks, etc. Slumps happen, when you bet this consistently, it is not a surprise by any means. Just need to remain patient, and keep plugging away. Still up very big on the year. :103631605 I have faith in the things that led me to this point. So, although, it is appreciated that you show some concern, I assure you, it is not necessary. If the slump continues, I will take a break, or call it a year altogether, as I have already made my money on the season. Until then, I will keep plugging away, wish for the best, and keep the faith.

GL to us Spread, for what I hope will be a profitable Saturday..

All true, and no one is truly "spreadproof", we all go on bad runs from time to time. Personally I have just found that going really light when you start to see a downtrend makes me turn my game around very fast. I know in your situation it is definitely no big deal as your investment plays are all but over and you are betting relative peanuts at this point.

GL to us indeed. @)

P.S. I also don't know if you ever replied to my private message about the texts as my account had the messaging feature disable and I have yet to figure out why. My posts and replies are also put in moderation mode before they are seen??? If the moderator who approves this sees this part please re-enable messaging and tell me, at least, what I did. :think2:

I like your over pick a lot, GL on both. I am with ya!

What is your secret to be able to get down a bet when the play is posted less than one minute before tip-off? You must have already bet it on your own.
I don't understand why Mr. NZ chooses to make it hard to get down on some games, but then posts 30 min. before tip-off on others. What is the point of posting if he wants to make it difficult for us to follow, as he stated yesterday.

hey! from what I have understood since I have been reading Mr.N's posts for quite some time, He like to see the latest info on who is in the line up and who is not. His posts on occasion are very close to tip off, but so are many other posts in here. Games he really likes and is very confident on are posted well before tip off, So this whould make the decision up to you, you can chose to follow his plays that are posted early or chance it with his last minute plays. Either way It is your call so don't complain unless the posts are after tip off.

jacksonjohn and whoever else wants to know it is easy to get on NumberZ plays if you have a cellphone. (which is how I get them even right before tipoff like that one was, the game had not started when he posted it was about 5-10 minutes more before the books took the line down after he posted it)

The solution is to get a gmail account, which you can do for free, gmail . com

Then change your email address on your rx account to your gmail account.

Then in Gmail go to filters and add a filter to forward and message which matches "NumberZ has just replied to a thread"
the set it to
Do this: Forward to yourphonenumber@yourphonestextaddress.com

if you have text messaging you almost always have an email address to get a text to your phone. If you don't know what that address is just search the web for verizon cellphone email address or whatever company you have. There will be information out there on what your address is. The typical format is phonenumber@companydomain.com, ie. 5551112233@vzwtext.com (verizon) or 5551112233@messaging.sprintpcs.com

That is what I setup, subscribe to this thread, gmail forwards to my phone. Wham, bam, thank you mam I get notice whenever NumberZ posts here.

It also helps that I have a cell phone capable of browsing full size websites so I can go directly here when I am out and read the post then call it in. But even if you just were couching it, it is helpful to know so you can rush to your pc and jam in the bets.

That may be what you think, but that's not what he said yesterday in post #853. He said he posts close to tip-off to "make it difficult to follow them."
I take him at his word. I just don't understand the logic. I guess I don't have to understand. If he wants to make it difficult to follow him, so be it. I certainly acknowledge his expertise in picking winners. I won't take up any more space in his thread.

I read that post, I chalked it up to him being a little fustrated at the time. Keep in mind this is his second week since he started posting all his plays with unit sizes in this fassion. So lets cut him some slack and allow him to re-adjust. Bottom line he's pretty smart and will come back around. Its unfair to kick someone while he is down and especially someone who has put in a good effort all year.
And jackson I'm not upset with you or your questioning.

good luck mate

Another brutal beat. Jazz up by 7 pts with 1 min left in the game, and Miami closes the 4th quarter on a 7-0 run to force OT. Once again Jazz are up by 8 in Overtime, and Miami goes on a 8-0 run to force yet ANOTHER OT. Finally, in the 3rd OT Miami, pulls away. Can't catch a break lately, but it is what it is. Nothing to do but move on. Cashed the Over easily, to at least grind out about 1 unit profit. At this point, I'll take it, considering some of the bad luck I've been having.

As far as the comments above, I am in a bit of a rush so I do not have the time to respond. But I will do my best to explain sometime later tonight, once I return home. One last play for today, going to post in a few min..

At this point I want to ensure, that I end the day + units, to establish some time of momentum, so I will downgrade this play to a small play, and by consequence guarantee a profit on the day..GL as always..

Small play:

Charlotte Bobcats -5 (.5)

Jacksonjohn, you are not "taking up space", as you said. This is an internet forum, and so long as you make your point, as you have, in a civilized way, it's always good by me, and welcome here. :103631605

The best way for me to explain, what I meant, when I said I was trying to make the plays "difficult to follow", is that I saw no reason for others to lose along with me while I was riding out a slump. When you bet this consistently, slumps become a part of the game, and they are expected, by reasonable people. I posted plays 5-10 mins prior to tip, to make them difficult to follow, in light of the very fact that I found myself in the middle of a slump. In hindsight, I do not regret it, as I believe it saved some people, money. It is important to remember that I joined this forum to help others, and if on occasion, the best way for me to help others, is by not hurting them, then so be it..In general, I do not wish to make my plays difficult to follow, but in light of the circumstances, I thought it would best, and now that the week has passed, I can say, with some confidence, that it was indeed for the best. Your point, however, was valid and more importantly, stated in a civil manner, and so I encourage you to feel free to voice your opinion, whenever you choose to, in my thread. Hopefully you understand now, what I meant. The rest is history as they say.

GL to us, for what I hope will be a good finish, to a solid season :103631605

After suffering my longest losing streak of the season, I decided it would be best to take Sunday off, and give myself the chance to regroup. Not only was it the longest losing streak of the NBA season, for me, but also the longest losing streak I have suffered in any of the professional sports I bet over the last 4-5 years or so. When it was all said and done, -15.8 units on the week. If there is a bright side, it's that, I went up that same amount the week before, and so over the last 2 weeks, I ended up breaking even. So no harm, no foul. Now, with the new week upon us, I am looking forward to moving on, and adding to the bankroll :103631605

Just one play today..Going to keep the writeup short..

Action play:

New Orleans Hornets -5.5 (1.5)

Hornets have played well this season, in their first game back from 3+ game roadtrips, they are a perfect 5-0 SU on the season. Avg margin of victory: 8.6, also home team has won and covered, more often than not between these two teams. Like the matchups in this one, as I expect Paul to give the backcourt edge to his team, as usual, and Chandler to exploit a Ming'less middle for the Rockets. Both teams coming off loses, but New Orleans got absolutely embarrassed by Chicago last time out, (Lost game by 19), so the fire should be there for this Hornets team to win, and get the cover in front of their home crowd.

GL as always.
