Look, at his current pace, TIGER will end up not only cracking my top five of all-time, be he will be #1 by a long, long, long ways. Much in the same regard as Pujols, lets just allow them to play in their prime a few years before we declare then to be better than they actually may be.
At this time, Pujols has not performed long enough to say he is a better right-handed hitter than the Aarons, Mannys, Arods, and F. Robinsons of the world.
In the same regard, not going to say Tiger is better than Jack and few other golfers.........yet. However, he has a way better than average oppurtunity of not only finishing in my personal to three or five of all-time, but being the best ever(by a considerable margin as I stated).
I think a lot us, myself included, don't give credit to many great athletes of the past, although some probably recieve to much also.
As just one example, I would venture to guess that more than a handful who believe Tiger is the greatest of all-time on this forum have very little knowledge of what Sam Snead accomplished in his career.
By the way, even though I may not place Tiger in my top five of all-time right now, I could also certainly make an argument that he is definetly the greatest of all-time.
In closing, no matter the sport, it is very hard to compare athletes that are truly great and declare who is better than the other..........and even tougher when it occurs in different eras.
