The results play out on the field, Penn State is not the fastest team in the country. Teams like Florida, LSU, USC, etc... recruit talent like that year in & year out. Anyone with half a clue would know that Penn State is not faster than those teams. Most of that talent does not end up in that conference, get a clue.

Try playing teams worth a damn before calling yourself elite. So by your standards, teams like BYU, Boise State, & Tuilsa are also elite since they have won every game that has been scheduled. Your own conference's standard bearer for almost the last decade has consistently proven over the last few years that they are not as fast or talented as some of the teams I mentioned. So you think I'm stupid enough to believe Penn State is?

The moron is the one who actually thinks his team is as fast or deep as some of the more elite programs over the last decade.

Comical

WHO CARES ABOUT TEAMS THREE AND FOUR YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!! Why do you keep going back to that. IT's THIS YEAR! What don't you understand!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!

They have as much speed. ARGUE WHAT POSITION THOSE SEC teams have more speed at. That's all I want. Refute the FACTS that I threw out there. Stop saying they recruit more speed than the big ten and blah blah.

Three, and two years ago, name the two fastest defensive backs and fastest receiver recruited. Name what team they went to and then get back to me.

I'll help you out.

Derrick Williams - #1 recruit in America and was the fastest guy in his class.

Justin King - #1 DB recruit in America and fastest defensive back in his year. No longer on PSU.

AJ Wallace - #1 DB recruit in America and fastest defensive back in his year.

All three of them attended PSU.

PSU is faster at receiver. Butler, Norwood and Williams are faster than any trio of receivers in the nation. Find me three who are faster and I'll agree. Once you make something up I'll get the forty times when they were recruited and get back to you.

PSU is faster at DB than almost every team in America. Lydell Sargent and AJ Wallace are explosively fast. Maybin may be the fastest defensive end in college football and PSU's linebackers are just as fast as any group in the country.

All you keep saying is the SEC recruits more speed than the Big Ten I'm an idiot... Blah Blah. I never said the Big Ten has more speed, I SAID PSU HAS MORE SPEED and they do. How can you argue it. I'm waiting.

And actually PSU beat an SEC team in a bowl game last year in case you didn't know. PSU also has more speed. You can't argue the point. They have as much, if not more, speed than every team in the SEC. They also have a great offensive line. Stop with these things were proven in the past few years. College football changes from year to year.

You're going to compare BYU's conference to the Big Ten. You sweat USC's nuts but their conferece is worse than the Big Ten this year so your argument is redicolous. PSU will have played a better schedule than USC by years end. You do know that right? They will have played at OSU instead of at home against them. They will have played Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan State and USC will have played one ranked team outside of OSU.

Please explain how you can defense USC and rip PSU for playing no one. I'm done as you ahev no facts to back anything up.

Well lets look at Sagarin for instance as a few teams with a better SOS include in the top 25 include:

Texas, USC, Alabama, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State.

Funny as all those teams would beat Penn State pretty easily.

You seem quite confident they will win the title this year. I'll enjoy knowing they won't.

Guess we'll see if OSU will beat them easily. God you are such an idiot IDK what to say.

Sure is nice to be an elite team when your victories come over teams that have combined for a 14-23 record. This does not include the win against a non elite I-AA/FCS program. Give it a break, these clowns have no business being #3 with that schedule.

You are clueless if you truly think they are the fastest team in the nation. Take off the rose colored glasses.

Since you seem confident of them winning the title game, I'd bet you a dime they don't. I don't care who their opponent is.

We usually agree on everything but I have to say I think you are dead wrong on the Nittany Lions this season. They have one of the best offensive lines in the nation and the skill players to put up 50+ points a game. Defensively they always put up a strong effort and this season have a ton of returning talent.

People not giving Penn State enough respect this season reminds me of Texas the year they beat USC.

These guys are for real.

PSU would be a dog against any team currently in the top 7.

I NEVER SAID THEY WOULD WIN IT ALL. I SAID THEY WERE AN ELITE TEAM! I said they may be the best team in America. That's what I said. You said they're not an elite team. You said they're not that good. You keep saying comical but you can't argue my facts. YOU JUST SAY COMICAL. ARGUE THE FACTS PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I SAID THEY ARE JUST AS FAST AS ANY TEAM IN AMERICA. Never said they were the fastest.

Can I ask you this question.

Who has USC played?
If USC wins the rest of their games who will they have played to deserve to get in the title game?
If PSU finishes undefeated and USC has one loss how is USC better?

Because the recruiting services and experts told you they have more talent? Is that why.

Please answer those three questions and then you'll start heading in the right FACTUAL direction.

All odds are is public perception of a team. It means nothing about how good one team is compared to another. It's how good the public views them. Move along. PSU is just as good and talented as every team in America.

What's really going to be painful is when Penn St beats OSU(I expect them to be +/-3 on the road).

Then we have to listen to this shit until they get B-slapped by FL\TX\USC

Unlike you, I actually know talent & don't need someone to tell me what I already know.

They are not an elite team until they prove themselves which they haven't done with that joke of a schedule. USC's lone win over Ohio State trumps any win Penn State has had to date or would have all season.

Don't try to back off your confidence of them being elite. If they are as good as you claim they are, they will win the title. So back up your talk or back off. If they make it, I'll be happy to take whomever their opponent is to beat them S/U for a dime. If that is too much, I'll be open to another amount. If they don't make it, nothing to worry about.

So funny. They beat the team that beat USC. They killed them.

They win at Wisconsin and no matter what anyone says that's not easy. Wisconsin fell apart against Michigan and should have had only one loss going into tonight's game. They could have easily beaten OSU and Michigan and been a top 10 team.

They destroyed Wisconsin at home. That never happens. They destroyed Illinois and they destroyed the team that beat USC. This is so funny. No one can give props to them and they may be the best team in America. What does this team have to do to prove shit to anyone? They've
destroyed people.

Florida lost to an awful team. PSU didn't. Sure they beat LSU tonight but why is it that when you lose to an awful team you're better than someone who hasn't lost to anyone but doesn't have a top-10 team win yet? Showing up week in and week out is important. That's what makes a great team. Not just showing up for big games.

PSU and Texas are 1-2.

If you think Wiscy should have or could have been a top 10 team you are a bigger fool then what your showing. And your logic about a team with a loss. With that logic Ball st should be ahead of USC !! Like I said before, even with 1 USC loss they still would be favored over PSU and would ram it up their ass like they always do to those teams from that mediocre conference

So true. We might as well just bump all the OSU fans threads from the last few years. Sad.

You know how much I hate OSU but I think they will beat them by 7-10 points. If they lose it will be a close game.

It would be funny to watch them get bitchslapped in the title game even though they are the "fastest" team in the country.

As much as I've ridden Ohio State the last few years, this Penn State squad is simply not an overrated clone similar to the Buckeyes. Don't sleep on the Nittany Lions. Their offense is 100x better and the defense is every bit as good.

Teams route Ohio State because they stop the overrated offense and then score points with good field position. Penn State's defense can be scored on to an extent as well but the offense can keep up with anyone.

#1 BCS = Undefeated Big 12 or SEC team through their respective CCG's.

#2 BCS = One loss Big 12 or one loss SEC team who wins their CCG.

#3 BCS = Undefeated PSU.

So PSU better hope that both scenario #1 and #2 don't happen, otherwise they'll be jumped. PSU's schedule is absolutely pathetic and the computers will hate them.

Some really good value in Oklahoma & LSU, two teams that are by no means out of it in terms of having a good chance to make it to the title game.

It shoudl be illegal for odds to be up on teams like Illinois though, that is just ridiculous.
Best time to buy is either before the season starts if you see a sleeper or right after a team takes a loss. LSU at 50/1 is a steal. I'm not so sure about Oklahoma because I'm not sure if they would even get into the Big 12 Championship game unless Texas should lose 2 games as perhaps Okl. loss to Texas would give Texas the tiebreaker. Okl and Texas are both in the South division. Perhaps someone here knows that answer .

I think they're an elite team. I think there are 3 or 4 elite teams in the country so how am I saying that they'll automatically win the title? I said they can contend for it.

Oh I get it now. Your eyes see the talent and speed. F those speed drills and times people put out there. You're the true test with your eyes. Why don't NFL teams call you and ask if the guy is fast. Who cares what times are, you know.

If PSU beats OSU what are you going to say then? That's all I ask. Then what will your excuse of USC being so much better be? We will have won at Columbus with a healthy Beanie Wells and the true starting QB playing for OSU. We'll have beaten a much better OSU team.

And if they stomp OSU like they stomped Wisconsin then what will you say? Their conference is a joke and blah blah?

TTinco, you are not correct. I wouldn't have even argued this heavily if it wasn't for idiot comments made. He refutes facts with things like "COMICAL". He can't argue with my facts.

I won't be bumping this because it's pointless. I disagree with a guy who sucks USC's dick even though USC has a loss and PSU doesn't, and USC plays in a weaker conference than PSU.

You can never win with people that just think they know it all. They haven't watched this team. They've dominated everyone they've played. It's ok though. PSU isn't as fast as any team in America. EGD watches their games and times the players with his eyes.

Go ask Tennessee how fast and talented PSU's skill position players are. Now they actually have a quarterback.

WHO CARES ABOUT ODDS? It's public perception. They just want 50% of the money on one side.

Stop sweating USC!!!!!! USC plays in weaker conference and is a LESSER team if PSU goes undefeated. They will have played a tougher schedule than USC and they will be undefeated.

For guys who watch so much football you don't seem to pass the eye test. PSU's offensive line is big and tough. They have great speed and talent at the skill positions and their Quarterback has been dynamite.

You bring up an excellent point on Oklahoma. I honestly don't see them making it through without 2 losses. I think they lose to Missouri & Texas Tech. They also have tough games with Oklahoma State & Kansas who I definitely think can give them fits. One team that no one is paying attention to that might be a slip up for Texas is Baylor.

If they somehow make it through the gauntlet of Missouri (H), Oklahoma State (H), & Texas Tech (R), they have a sandwich game against Baylor a week before a tough game at Kansas. Going into that Baylor game they will have played every week with no rest since September 20th & that has to catch up at some point.
