You are 100% correct. Spots are were its at. I bet "spots" in the NFL every week. But for a bowl game everybody is rested and ready to play. There isn't 3 straight road games, or sandwhich games between 2 good teams, or games after playing a really physical team like Pittsburg. Every team is as close to being 100% as possible because of the long layoff. Now can a team need a win more than another team, or can a team be rusty. Yes but you can't discount the scores of the games. And you can't say the SEC doesn't care but the other conferences do care.

PSU has four receivers who run sub 4.4 40's. They have a secondary with three corners that run 4.3 40's. They have two of the fastest half backs in America. Their QB has more speed than almost every QB in the country. Their linebackers are fast and two of their defense lineman run Sub 4.6 40's. I'll be waiting for you to call PSU slow. I want you to find me one team in the SEC or the country, that is faster than PSU. please get back to me. You're just listening to the past critiques on the Big Ten and have nothing new to say about them.
If you think PSU is slow and lacks team speed then you haven't been watching football this year. PSU's line would also beat up any line in football.

PSU's corners and receivers are as fast, if not faster, than any team in the country. Their QB is fast and they have two lineman that have incredible speed. They have linebackers that run 4.5's. The results play out on the field, Penn State is not the fastest team in the country. Teams like Florida, LSU, USC, etc... recruit talent like that year in & year out. Anyone with half a clue would know that Penn State is not faster than those teams. Most of that talent does not end up in that conference, get a clue.
Try playing teams worth a damn before calling yourself elite. So by your standards, teams like BYU, Boise State, & Tuilsa are also elite since they have won every game that has been scheduled. Your own conference's standard bearer for almost the last decade has consistently proven over the last few years that they are not as fast or talented as some of the teams I mentioned. Texas, USC, Alabama, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State.
