I couldn't agree more with that. Difference between the two of them is tiger is 36!! Shit, with all the love you give jack just imagine how much love you will be giving tiger if he continues this pace!

Didn't know we had to have the same amount of love to each player.. is it some kind of crime that I don't feel the same for two players ? BTW there are no guarentess on Tiger winning another major.. Alot of great players haven't won any after age 36..

I think Sam Snead's 82 career tour wins record is a very overlooked accomplishment. This guy was very talented. And had one of the prettiest swings in golf. IMO a golfer shouldn't be judged by just how many majors he's one. Just winning a tournament is difficult enough. But 82 of them in the short period a professional golfer is at his peak is simply amazing.

I could be wrong, but I think jack won six majors after the age of 35.....shit, if tiger continues what he has done so far in his career, which is a couple steps better than jack's career in every aspect at the same point, tiger could win 8 more before he puts his clubs in the closet, who knows. And all he needs is a measly 4? Hell, tiger has already won one on one leg, finished pretty decent in the standing in the midst of a swing change and injuries, public emberrassment a couple times last year.....and now he is feeling good, watch out mighty Luke donald!!!!!!

Absolutely.....that's why I think tigers 94 wins as a professional and at the young age of 36 is quite impressive too

Great point....tiger is obviously better than most of the great players though, so far at least

Tiger doesn't have 82 Tour wins ! I don't think he has caught Jack's tour wins yet either ?

True. I'm just saying tiger has done everything jack did in his golf career a little bit better. Not much better, but so far what tiger has done is a little bit better

Nope, he doesn't. And jack doesn't have the most WGC wins either. So what, the point is he has won 94 tournaments

Snead also might have the best swing of all time, too..He won 82 times and had just over 600,000 in official winnings..He had to beat some pretty decent golfers, too..Guys like Hogan, Demaret, Nelson, Sarazen...and he played 7 decades..The argument that anybody can win on any given week has been valid since the tour started playing..it's all relevant to the times..You could also make the argument that technology has let more people have a chance today-the ball doesn't curve anymore, the sweetspot on a wood is 17 times greater today then when Hogan played..Those guys had to manufacture shots back then..Now all they do is bomb it, I think the game is easier now, then it was when I started playing just because of technology..not that it's a bad thing..just saying

I've only got Tiger at 71 career wins. So he hasn't caught Snead yet. Another thing about Snead is he was a good 5 or 6 years older than Tiger and Jack was before he even played his first tour event at 25. Which makes his accomplishments that much greater.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

Tiger lost his MoJo on 2/14/10 and will never be the golfer that he was before that....take that to the bank

Here is the list and length of time on tour since your interested....you will like what you see

1. Snead 82 wins in 30 years on tour
2. Jack 73 wins in 25 years on tour
3. Tiger 71 wins in 14 years on tour

Not bad. Tiger is 2 behind jack and 11 behind Snead in a hell of a lot less time

Can we see how he finishes ? Or are you going to just give him the neccessary wins before he actually wins them to claim #1

It's not even comparable to what Tiger and those who played pre-70's had to go through. Look at the prize money, the mode of travel, the course conditions, the equipment.

Has Tiger ever had to get in his car and drive from tournament to tournament? The courses these players use now are in pristine condition. The equipment and balls make the game even easier for them.

Tiger is the best of his generation, nothing more.

It's amazing that Nicklaus won 18 majors, and even then had 20 runner up finishes.

What will always separate Jack from Tiger is professionalism. Jack was considerate and always had good things to say when he lost about the other players. Tiger is an asshole when he loses and cries like the bitch he is.

Absolutely, I've said that before. All I've said is the pace tiger is on, puts him well on his way to reaching that point (as you can see). If he doesn't reach those wins, or the most majors holder I'm perfectly fine with him being #2 cause that's what he would be

lol, so now its his fault for making too much money? I'm sure everybody on pts tour and involved with golf would highly disagree with you.

the equipment for the last 11 years or so were the only tools that kept the other players close to tiger...........if they had to use persimmon head drivers and pro staff blades im not sure tiger wouldve ever lost.............the equipment arguement favors tigers greatly....go another route if you like

oh and what ive learned from this thread...same as the other 89 tiger jack threads weve had...........

those who perosnally like tiger think he is great and as god or better than jack

those who dont like tiger dont think he is great and isnt as good as jack

YAWN

i dont expect the next 89 tiger jack threads to be any different......our opinions whether we like it or not are skewed by our personal feeling towards either jack or tiger period............
