dumb ireland bet on my part -- they actually had one real good chance with MLS player Robbie Keane but outside of that --- nothing. Nice hit on the correct score...if you post winners keep in this thread. Haha...even though a push and a small loss it was pretty nice to see croatia tie it and the spain match was a little enjoyable.

Tomorrow i have leans -- France and England....both pay above even so 1 out of 2 would profit. Both Ukraine and Sweden looked alright but probably because they were playing each other. Maybe France and England -0.25 but we will see.

GL rest of the night if you bet those other sports

my leans and yeah i'm waiting for the england lineup but France all day everyday and England pk -136 - juiced up but i really don't see sweden winning here. I actually ranked sweden as the 3rd worst team of the tournament with ireland and netherlands er.....poland being the only sides worst. So even though england is suppose to crash and burn they were a'ight vs france and pretty much know must win here and then fight it out with the ukraine. Sweden has one of the best strikers in the world in zlatan so he could make a difference...certainly we can't expect Lescott to score again but perhaps lewis caroll can use his height for more than heading the ball 10 feet over the bar. I really think sweden will struggle vs a team like england with some quality left in them...Gerard has one more international superstar game in him...maybe today. 2-0 england is my thought 2-1 if zlatan scores...i do hope walcott starts or comes in sooner if it is tied second half.

as for ukraine v france...france looks good here. Ukraine won on an inspired effort from Shevchenko - the chances that guy has two games like that in a row is less than 0 percent....i think first game home crowd, sweden sucks, all worked in favour of him and ukraine. Although still at home the rest is missing...france really played a poor second half which to me indicated that a draw was good enough for them and they will be confident to beat ukraine and sweden. Shevchenko might not even play and if they are counting on vorinin to do anything, as liverpool fans will remember, that is trouble. M'Vila might start which would be a big upgrade in the midfield....

two 2-0 scores today for england and france is my thoughts...still thinking about it though and open to changing my mind....

interesting both england and the over 2.5 pays +144...when i do bets like this the game always ends 0-0 1-1 but i wonder if putting 1/2 on england outright and 1/2 on the over 2.5 goals is a smart play. I could see sweden scoring with england's short comings at the back and the traditional piss poor english goal conceeded....but i still think england wins. Cheer for 3-0 2-1 but settle for 1-0 or even 1-2 sweden.

hmmm.....kinda like that a lot right now .... i could hedge both 1-1 later in the game if it comes down to it.

just found out i have to leave for a bit and i am not sure i'll be back prior to kickoff so posting early but i do wish i had lineups first:

Friday June 15th
Ukraine v France
France -105 -1.05 to win 1 unit
i was hoping to wait for a bit of news involving Shevchenko - I cant see him not starting but he has recently been hurt and apparently was involved in a car accident. Probably someone backed into his SUV going 2 miles an hour but the press wrote 'car crash' so who knows how fit he is...certainly Ukraine wouldn't admit he isn't playing like clubs would in a regular league match. Either way i still like France but i'd like them even more if he doesn't start. Outside of Shevchenko is useless Voronin so hard to really find goals for them vs France. France did okay in the England match - very nice start and getting the goal but got pegged back quickly and then both sides played out the game. Very predictable draw in game one knowing that Ukraine and Sweden are beatable. Benzema had his chances vs England and goals should be coming soon. Just over a year ago France beat Ukraine 4-1 in a friendly and Ukraine lost to both Turkey and Austria prior to beating Sweden. Maybe friendly are a bad judge and certainly the home crowd will help but a lot of people are picking France to win it all...i don't see that but in order to do it they really have to win this one. France hasn't lost since March 2010 and although a handful of draws, I do think they are a full class ahead of the Ukraine...esp a team that needs a beat up old man Shevchenko (he is slightly older than me

) and Liverpool great Vorinin (sarcasm) to get goals. Nasri, Ribery, and M'Vila should be able to pick apart this side and Benzema can strike the ball as good as any.

tempted to back benzama to score anytime +163 and nasri +393...but if they score chances are france wins so probably not doing that

Seems like the whole world is on France, myself included. I'm starting to get the sheep being led to the slaughter feeling. Hopefully, that is not the case.

GL today.

all signs point to ukraine ... forum punters are on france line went from -105 to +120 and now there is a crazy storm...maybe the game gets called off and bookies return the money....i always check weather and was busy and forget --- wow is it pissing rain. Hopefully rain stops and for once we all on the same side win

france with a couple of nice chances but a bit lack lustered...sticking with the 2 half bets in the england game....i think 2-0 2-1 england. Here's the lineups for what it is worth:

Sweden team: Isaksson, Granqvist, Mellberg, Olsson, Olsson, Svensson, Kallstrom, Larsson Ibrahimovic, Elm, Elmander

England line-up, just as expected: Hart; Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Cole; Milner, Gerrard, Parker, Young; Carroll, Welbeck

England midfield has holes but should still be able to move the ball vs Sweden...Elmander

So:
England v Sweden
England +140 - 0.35 to win 0.5 units
over 2.5 goals +138 - 0.36 to win 0.5 units

so bet 1-1 laugh at me.

playing over 2nd half 1' at +120....sweden has to put a charge and that risks leaving the back open....england will cash in twice in this half i believe....sweden...i don't know...

You two are like prophets in this thread of late - ask and you shall receive, what's next that Gerrard goal you have been calling for?

i see why roy doesn't want to play walcott - he is a ticking time bomb with his hamstring injury...but when you are down and need quickness he is perfect player to sub. Almost got the Gerard goal .. haha...that would have been sweet. I know a lot of hate for england for good reason but i do hope they can advance pass the group stage...should be an interesting 3rd match vs the Ukraine. Roy proved to me he knows what he is doing by starting Caroll and subbing Walcott at the right moment....

odds are a little bizarre tomorrow - to me Czech's should be favoured over the poles but i see Czech pk +140 and Russia -132. Hard not to like this bets but i haven't read any news regarding the matches so no play...just why Poland fav? I must be watching a different EUROs

Congrats on all the French winners here (we were bound to win one of these types of games) and good luck tonight if you bet those other sports

i like to bet on soccer, curling, cycling, and who's going to win American Idol. Outside of that i don't think there is any other thing you can bet...horses sometimes but usually if i get a text message from a guy in toronto and he never wins...

Greece continues to be plagued with injuries and a couple more are set to miss this one. Russia, had no interest in beating Poland and causing a massive riot outside...so draw Poland and take 3 points vs Greece and win the group. That was the game plan probably when it was 3-1 vs Czech. So seeing Russia -138 is a very tempting bet and something I already threw one unit on. Greece should really play Ireland to see who the worst side really is ... close call but I guess Greece got one point and have injuries to blame. Not sure, except the italian manager, Irish fans can blame.

Don't forget unlike the first two matches the third games in the group stage are played at the same time to avoid draw fixes or letting teams win to both advance...etc....so:

Saturday June 16th
Russia v Greece
Russia -138 - -1.38 to win 1 unit

and heavy lean of Czech pk at +140 but waiting for lineups...GL this weekend whatever you bet
