haha...in fairness to how bad lescott really is - anyone outside of caroll, crouch and niklas bedntar would have scored there. Money is a bit more important that france losing so i'll cheer for 1 more goal before HT even if ribery or nasri score it. Glad we got the goal because this game was turning into a snoozefest
yeah - i though walcott was hurt but seeing him come in late if was fit to play why not start him...he is still twice the player alex is. Perhaps he just wanted to let walcott run for 5-7 mins to test his multiple injuries...i guess the EUROs will be just like the world cup. Play football til HT and then accept 1 point and move on...that second half was unwatchable. I don't mind pushing but damn at least make an effort to score England...two lines of 4 and the french couldn't do much. Now i hope Sweden and Ukraine advance and this two useless teams get knocked off.

agree on the walcott point as well as the 2nd half...understood, so much is on the line...but why not save us all the fluff and just cancel the 2nd half for those of us watching to see beautiful football and to those of us wagering... a nap would have been more exciting..the french fan sleeping said it all
yeah - too much vino for that fat frechman...haha...i doubled up a bet on a certain team i won't mention and get burnt..but damn sweden team total over 1 -115...zlatan scoring at least once no.. oh well...riding the over 2. If it starts like england v france ended i won't be watching long.
funny how soccer works sometimes - england 1-1 at ht and we only push the over 2 and ukraine 0-0 HT and we hit the over 2 quite early...but yeah a winner and a push are always welcomed. Soccer is a good sport to bet when there are no afternoon baseball...haha..or like a lot of us on this thread the only sport we bet.

np - always glad to post winners because i win too..haha....i have strong leans for tomorrow and the over in the russian game looks really good. The over 2 might pay just a bit too short for most but i might take it. Certainly Poland looked like they might conceed vs a better team like Russia and Russia the team of the tournament so far. They certainly have 2+ goals in them every game. I haven't read team news so nothing yet.
Hard to judge the Czech team based on the first game...i thought they started off well and played a very well early second half - an effort like that and they should beat or at least draw Greece.

np mobdeeper....nice hit on ukraine. Personally i never bet based on picks without reasoning unless I was leaning that way anyway so i skipped it. I was already on the total anyway
I just came from a soccer friendly site and EVERYONE is on Greece and Russia...EVERYONE is on Russia. The actual soccer consensus is split in the Greek match but 84% Russia. If you like Russia i'd still play it - I do think Poland had this one circled more than the Greek match and preventing a Russia win would be a national victory.

You really can't judge the first games because Greece was playing the weakest side while Czech's were playing the team of the tournament so far. I really love the way the Czech's started the match and esp. started the 2nd half. 4-1 scoreline was due to the fact that unlike most of the other teams - Czech didn't settle for a 1 goal loss. So I wouldn't read too much into the high score. Greece fought back nicely being down a goal and a man but played rarely poorly - Gekas and Samaras were non-factors the whole game. Add the fact the Greece will be without both central defenders Papadopoulos and Sokratis. Although Czech's aren't the most prolific goal scoring side, those two missing could cause some defensive lapses - i call it the Arsenal effect. Perfect Gunner Rosicky can play like he did those two games before we signed him to a bigger contract and exploit a normally tough Greek defense.
I was praising Greece vs Poland but watching their offensive and seeing two of their key defenders go down and bits of Czech quality - i do think Czech win....1/2 a loser on a draw not bad. Under 2 is tough to bet but i do see 1-0 czech win.

well yesterday i said Ukraine v Sweden was the total of the tournament so far and i am sticking with that. I do like the over here but not as much. Russia definitely showed that they came here to win the cup and do it by constantly attack with speed and pressure. Poland are very discipline so i imagine they won't be searching for goals as much as the Czech's did. Poland still have the quality strikers and Lewandowski can score against anyone. Russia can qualify with a win and with Germany, Netherlands or maybe Denmark awaiting them, if they can rest some players for game 3 that would be huge - so i think russia will start off much the same way they played in the later parts of the 1st half. Arshavin, the anti-RVP, is once again showing his value for his country and Kerzhakov played about the worst game I have ever seen him play so i think he will bounce back. For me i'd take him out very early if he plays the same way. I think 3-1 Russia here - the over 2 pays -155 at pinny which seems just a bit too high for me. So i'll ride the over 2.25.
sadly for me i'll be missing both matches and even the massive Canada v Hondurus WCQ..bad day to have work interfere with important things in life
