Like Hatton over Morikawa today

Also like Rory to go low, but price is steep vs Fleetwood

I've faded Bryson in matchups both the first two rounds at nice payout and won, also have JT over Bryson tourney matchup; doubling down and taking Woodland +130 today vs Bryson. So hoping he continues to struggle.

If I look at everyone within 6 of the lead I think Webb Simpson has the best chance to make a meaningful move today. Can't count JT out either but odds reflect that.

I think JT is the guy further back that can win this thing. He's had at least 6 putts rim out, maybe even more like 8. I took him over Webb h2h today. Also very comfortable in hot/humid...grew up in KY, played at Bama, lives in SoFla. Usually a great bermuda putter so expect those lip-outs to start dropping

looks like good call on Bryson...since midway through 2nd round he's just out there mumbling to himself. Never seen an elite player so bad with a wedge in his hands

Bryson has been a flop since the Tiger comments. Couple that with the cameraman incident, and he's kinda become a total douche bag...

With the lack of a wedge game, and mental toughness seeming to be somewhat lacking, he's on the verge of complete down slide it seems rather than claiming a Major...

Total douche.
I lost both my matchups today but added some Ricky to win +392 at the beginning of his round, so glad to see him playing well.

heck of a leaderboard, should be a great Championship Sunday

solid round by the 35 yr old journeyman , has a 1 shot lead headed to Sunday.He's a shorter hitter so has GOT to hit the fairways tomorrow. A 2-time winner this yr and had the lead on Championship Sunday at The Travelers , shot 75. His last 3 tournaments 4th round scoring: 75, 73, 76.

Todd -12
An -11
Fowler -10
Koepka -9
Thomas -8

-JT is better comin' from behind than as a front runner,LURKING

Koepka needs to get the driving sorted. He has a two-way miss off the tee- that does not bold well for The PGA which is around the corner. He got real lucky at 13.....what a round he had today!!

WOW, what a finish...WILD tee shots by Thomas on 15 and 18....65 in the final round and wins it!!!!!! 66-65 for the weekend. Only Woods and Nicklaus have more PGA titles than JT at his age.

Rahm passes the batton, ........here's World #1 swing....headed to Harding Park for The PGA next week

The PGA..."Glory's Last Shot".....not this yr@):mad:

TPC Harding Park, San Francisco

a public course :).....founded in 1925....benign weather for Thursday/Friday. Hosted the 2009 Ryder Cup and the 2015 WGC World Match Play- winner : McIlroy
Woods played the course as a kid, has strong history.

'Harding Park was lengthened 450 yards when it was renovated after the turn of the century. It will play 7,234 yards this week, relatively short by major championship standards, but the course features seven par-4s that are at least 460 yards long. There are also two par-4s that are potentially drivable, the seventh and 16th holes. The longest par-3, the eighth hole, is 251 yards, and the two par-5s both measure over 560 yards.
Harding Park’s curving fairways require players to choose how aggressive they want to be and to shape their tee shots. Players have to be careful to avoid the cypress trees, which are known to swallow golf balls, though.'

apparently 13 and 14 r brutes , par 70

some notable pairings..... copy and paste

Thursday, 8:11 a.m. PT: Gary Woodland (30)-Shane Lowry (130)-Brooks Koepka (96)

This group comprises the winners of the past three majors. Koepka is going for the PGA three-peat after his runner-up at last week’s World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational. Woodland won last year’s U.S. Open just down the California coast in Pebble Beach. He was runner-up in the 2015 World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play at Harding Park. And Lowry is the last man to win a major, with his emotional win in The Open Championship.

Thursday, 8:22 a.m. PT: Jordan Spieth (90)-Dustin Johnson (25)-Justin Rose (135)

Two former FedExCup champions, Spieth and Rose, are in this group. All three players are former World No. 1s, as well. It’s been three years since Spieth’s last win, but he could still complete the Career Grand Slam this week. All three are former U.S. Open champions, as well.

Thursday, 8:33 a.m. PT: Justin Thomas (1)-Tiger Woods (48)-Rory McIlroy (5)

A combined five FedExCups are in this group. McIlroy and Woods are the only two-time winners of the FedExCup and Thomas is in good position to join them. He took a large lead in this season’s standings with his win at the World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational. Woods is seeking his record-setting 83rd PGA TOUR victory. Woods and McIlroy have already hoisted trophies at Harding Park. Woods won the 2005 WGC-American Express Championship here, while McIlroy claimed the 2015 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

Thursday, 1:47 p.m. PT: Rickie Fowler (79)-Bryson DeChambeau (4)-Adam Scott (35)

DeChambeau’s revamped game takes on a major for the first time. He has a win and seven
other top-10s this season. Fowler is trying to win his first Grand Slam event. Scott is making his first start since the season resumed. He won early this year at the Genesis Invitational down in Southern California.

Thursday, 1:58 p.m. PT: Jon Rahm (10)-Phil Mickelson (62)-Sergio Garcia (132)

Jon Rahm is the youngest player in this group, but he’s also the only one to hold the top spot in the Official World Golf Ranking. He lost that mantle after Thomas’ win at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, but he still is one of the favorites. Rahm won recently at the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide. He’ll be in a comfortable group. Garcia is his Spanish countryman, while Mickelson is a fellow Arizona State alum. Mickelson is coming off a runner-up finish at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, his best showing of the year. Garcia is third in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee this season, which will be handy at Harding Park.

.................

looks like smallerish type greens and ankle high, thick rough.

stat-of-the day

DeChambeau has played in 14 Majors. Number of top 10s ?......................ZERO

the 7th and 16th surely he goes at. Does he have the patience for a major victory?

i think his best shot is at Augusta

when's the last time college golf put up 3 golfers that have looked so good , so early? Morikawa, Wolff, Hovland . Wolff shot 65 on Sunday which included misses of : 6 feet for birdie at 12, 7 feet for birdie at 13 and a 3 foot par putt at 14. He ended -10...what could have been

How can anyone not like Morikawa? affable kid. Brimming with confidence , respectfull, thankfull . Kudos to his parents. Add youthfull C Champ-- showed he has game for the majors, dont think many people called for him being in the hunt on Sunday..........seems to be getting tougher and tougher to win a major

loud-mouth Brooks Koepka was talking a big game in the Saturday post-round interview, and even (not surprisgnly) took a jab at a fellow player, in DJ. Well......come Sunday he vanished , got whipped by his playing partner ,a 43 yr old . And a kid out of college beat him by 10 shots @):mad:. Humbling game no?

2020 year for Brooks, 10 tournaments entered ;

# of wins = zero
top 10's = 2
MC's =3

J Rahm moves back to World Number #1 as JT's grip on it lasted a week or so?

here's Morikawa on social media;
