Scottish Open

Detry -14
Fitzpatrick -14
Rahm -13
Herbert -12
Scheffler -11

British Open next week and J Rahm already looks dialed in

two names that may look good for next week, in form - Macintyre and Scheffler.

next stop on the bus, should be a fantastic show-- Whistling Straits , Spet 21-26th, Ryder cup

Team USA, chnaged the rules the captain has 6 picks;

current top 6;

Morikawa
DJ
DeChambeau
Koepka
JT
Xander

6 picks? lot can happen, but i'd go

Finau (birdie machine , good for four ball format)
Spieth
Reed
Cantlay

last two r tough, i'll go

English - no experience
Berger- putter can be worrisome

(Webb, Scheffler certainly r notables)

Europe (defending champions)

Rahm
Rory
Fleetwood
Fitzpatrick
Hatton
Garcia
Poulter
Hovland
Casey
Westwood
Lowry

12th- no idea

Europe has a very experienced side, and Hovland maybe a rookie but that dude is elite

damn, these two squads on paper are fuckin solid. Wonder how they set up the course

I just think the USA squad is way better. The Euros have Rahm. The USA probably have 5 guys that are close to him.

Based on strokes gained the USA has 8 of the top 11. Euros just Rahm and Hovland.

I do think it is stupid of the USA to pick link style courses for the Ryder Cup. In a way it is helping the Euros.

Also Berger is 28th in putting. That is definitely not weak. Some of the top Euros are not good putters like Casey and Hatton. Poulter is their best putter and he is terrible off the tee and approach shots.

On paper this should not even be close. Watch Stricker do something stupid like put Phil on the team so we have some experience. Screw experience give me the best players and you should win everytime.

I would add Kokrak to the mix. He is 5th in putting. I think Webb is normally solid all-round.

The problem we have had in the past is a bunch of nice guys that didnt want to go for the throat: Mahan, Kuchar, and guys like that.

You need some Patrick Reed's with some attitude.

good points. Absolutely agree with no Phil. No B Watson either.

i wouldnt put too much on stats for the Euros, seems once The Ryder Cup comes they flourish. That team is deep with experienced players, i think its better than their last team that won! With that said, US was poorly prepared for that course (good set up by the euros), and had a few nightmares most notably Phil, lol

Poulter? u kidding 14-6-2 , they need to pair him with Rory.

i agree on the chosen course, dont get it. Expecting generous fairways, rough benign. let the US bombers go nutty

Morikawa Vs Hovland in singles !!!

DeChambeau/Brooks as a pairing @)
