Perhaps i am mistaken here. But i am going to assume that since he gave the officers his license and the conversation went on for around 30 min, that the officers ran his license and it came back clean. The guy was clearly coming back from the bar, had too much to drink, and like many of us decided to get fast food before heading home. Knowing Wendy's they are slow as hell and he passed out while waiting.
The conversation looked very cordial until they started to put the cuffs on, and he freaked out and all hell broke lose. Perhaps i missed it, but the officer warned him that he was going to use the taser, but i never heard the officer yell "stop or ill shoot." Perhaps this would have changed things, perhaps not.
i am not a cop nor do i pretend to know the difficulty their job entails. I though would have had a hard time putting 3 bullets into a guy running away....over sleeping in a drive through, in which he had no warrants out for his arrest, and the cops already have his license along with his vehicle. The attorney is also disputing that he failed the breathalyzer.
