Incorrect, cops are trained to shoot at the torso! This is not the movies, but then again the narrative out there is as real as a Marvel Studio production!

Guy shouldn’t have resisted like that. I won’t defend his actions. Obviously this scenario is different or else I’d be making a way bigger deal about it. But, the approach and how to handle it so it doesn’t end in a death is important. Wasn’t really a bad guy would you say? He was asleep in a drive thru at a Wendy’s. Sounds pretty harmless and to end up killing him is questionable.

The yelling and screaming begins around 7:00

The main officer is no longer an officer and all charges were dropped by the local court.

So, what should the cops have done?

1.Let him sleep in the drive thru till morning?

2. Or, let him drive off?

3. Stop trying to arrest him once he started fighting?

4. Stop trying to arrest him after he threw the first punch?

5. Stop trying to arrest him after he threw the officer to the ground?

6. Stop trying to arrest him after he threw a 2nd punch?

7. Stop trying to arrest him after he got on top of the officer and threw a third punch?

8. Stop trying to arrest him after he grabbed the taser?

9. Stop trying to arrest him after he threw a fourth punch?

10. Stop trying to arrest him after he took control of the taser?

11. Stop trying to arrest him after he started to run away with an officers taser?

12. Stop trying to arrest him and let him Tase the officer... then possibly let him get that officers gun, stop on the officers head, etc...?

Please.... what should the officers have done? Let me guess, do a John Wayne trick shot, and shoot him in the leg, hoping you hit it, and it doesnt end up flying into someone else.

When you have already been physically thrown to the ground and punched by a large 27 year old man high on drugs/booze, and he charges you again, you cannot aim for a small part of the body, you aim "center". A moving target, one second to react before he comes back at you and might snap your neck.

Also a .38 to the thigh or arm or wherever usually will not stop somebody like that, and if you miss might hit an innocent civilian.

It is a clear cut case, the cop is innocent, but these days they will find a way to take him to court, etc etc etc, enrage the African Dem voter base. Ellison will take over the prosecution, 12 black jurists (kidding).

EVERY time a cop kills a black man without a gun it’s going to be front and center and analyzed over and over. Get ready. It’s long overdue. This one doesn’t fit the cop doing time. I don’t mind the firing...I don’t believe everyone who resists should be shot dead. We need to retrain the thinking.

I know how badly you guys want to get a victory. I’m not going to give it to you and argue about this incident. It’s a justifiable incident to not do time. But big picture, we need to retrain the thinking. Dude asleep at a Wendy’s drive through...it’s a harmless situation. Even if he resists and tries to run...it’s WAY BETTER than someone pulling a gun on them that they have hidden when the cops approach the car. You shoot to kill when you are trying to kill. The thinking needs to be retrained.


Most cops in other countries don’t even have guns. And they make it work just great.

I saw an analysis of the 10 unarmed Africans killed by police in 2019:

1 was shot by an African cop

6 were documented (cams, witnesses) that they had physically attacked the officer(s)

1 was cornered, said he had a gun, charged, and was shot, but did not have a gun

2 were circumstances where the white cop was charged with a crime

The anaylsis provided names and pictures of all 10.

So, 2.

Not bad for 370,000,000 incidents in 2019 when police were called to deal with civilians.

And not bad considering Africans committ an outrageously excessive percentage of USA violent crimes (MURDER, RAPE, ASSAULT)

They all gave the same response. Paraphrasing since they all didn't use the exact same words; "If you're shooting at somebody, you aim at body mass"

Death is important ! one min he's having a conversation with the cops the next they're trying to cuff him and he freaks out, mins later he's dead. There has to be a better way to handle these situations. Of course he didn't help himself by firing a taser at the cop, at that point they have to do something, you just hope or wish it wasn't fatal is all i'm saying.

Unfortunately, that is what has been happening since the Michael Brown campaign, the propaganda, officer Wilson was threatened and is hiding somewhere, forever. Cops are still reluctant to get involved when there is an out of control African male. Wonderful.

And now it is 10x worse, IMO.

Some top 25 cities start new cops at $40,000, so that is $20 an hour. The same loony Democrat Mayors say McDonalds should pay $15 an hour.

Good luck to all on this board protecting yourselves. Ironically good African citizens will be hurt the most with the new political national wave of anti police attacks and the polices that will ensue.
