Ok, just got home and watched the show. Here's the GD review.
Camile- definitely her best "performance", finally had some confidence on stage. She didn't "knock one out of the park" but she didn't go down looking, either.
JPL- oh man, I have to agree with anyone that thinks he's terrible. Anyuone that votes for him is voting on his image or "cuteness" alone. Close your eyes and listen, there is now WAY you would want to buy his CD.
LaToya- Not her best, but a solid performance. Song choice was a little awkward, but she still is the most talented vocally. Remains one of the frontrunners and is graceful under fire (responded to criticism well).
Amy- so-so, would have been hard to top last week. She's not the worst singer left, but she doesn't have the fan base or popularity to risk mediocrity. Nice enough girl, but she's living on borrowed time.
John S. -UGH! bad song choice for Mr. Monotone. That was him at his worst, a white guy with no rhtyhm or range singing a Motown classic. He may get lucky and survive, but he doesn't deserve to based on this performance.
Jennifer-oversinging, overdancing-looked like she was trying too hard. Just belts out songs and goes for pure power. Another disappointment for me tonight, will be on the bubble tomorrow.
Jasmine- powerful vocally, confident on stage. Easy choice for a keeper and still a top 4 candidate. Singing one of the judges' songs was a bold and winning move.
Diana- polished child performer, every week she seems more County Fair-ish and her chances of winning diminish. She could be a future Country star, but her chances of winning this are getting longer by the week.
Fantasia- Her unique sound and obvious talent keep her near the top, but there's a definite edge about her that is turning many off. If it comes down to personality, 'Tasia is in trouble, if she can keep herself in check she has a strong shot.
George- If this were Male American Idol, he would win by a mile, By virtue of that, he should remain deep into the competition. Solid, workmanlike performance.
