I can't predict the future but certainly the possibilities look good. If he wins then chances are that means Rs picked up seats around the country as well I would think. Should have the power to do a lot without much obstruction. Says he will roll back ACA, wants more exchanges and vouchers through employers.
The immigration executive order he is staunchly against and he wants to handle the issue for good. It might not be to your liking completely but I'm not even sure what your position is. We're not just catching 20 million people with a fishnet and throwing them back to Mexico, the Islands and South America. It isn't happening, ever. We need a comprehensive and strict path to legalization. He wants to secure the borders once and for all.
Dodd-Frank he wants to get rid of because of its restriction to small business being able to obtain capital. He is very, very anti-cumbersome regulation.
He is against common core and wants education policy to be on the state and local levels.

I liked Rubio when he was able to beat that 'loser' Crist a few years
ago although the Democrat I believe he was Weeks did get around
10% of the vote that would have gone to Crist. When Scott beat Crist

I keep asking people who disagree with Rubio on immigrant what their alternative is. I'll say it again we're not rounding up 20 million people and deporting them.
Obviously you're very passionate about Rubio and I respect that, but most people are done with career politicians. Rubio has spent his entire life in politics and accomplished very little else. Didn't work out very well the last time around, did it?
All this petty dirt on Rubio (little white lies, poor personal finances etc.) doesn't influence me, but his track record as House Speaker in FL and being suckered into becoming part of Schumer's Gang of Eight tell me the guy is John Boehner with a slick tongue.
Actions speak louder than words. Allowing Chuck Schumer to talk you into being a slick mouthpiece for illegal amnesty is something conservatives do not take lightly, which means Rubio will need the establishment to carry him over the finish line.

Fair enough. If you're going to be skeptical and distrustful of a career politician, more often than not that is probably going to prove to be correct. I can't really speak to how principled or sincere he is other than to say that if he is selling BS that I am buying it.

Not deporting anyone is a start as long as where any immigrant legal or illegal is working has a payroll! A realistic alternative is to have walk-up spot checks from the IRS on all business....... How does IRS audit, if you don't file?

I'm pro-reform as I've said numerous times in this thread. Secure borders, extremely strict path to citizenship that emphasizes English immersion/working/crime free and then we pick and choose who we want with legal immigration going forward. This seems like by far the best solution.
Why are you buying what Trump is selling? You honestly think he gives a shit about mass deportation of 20 million illegals? No, he just found an inroad and something to talk about to fire up people like you who have extremely strong feelings about the issue.
