He only knows that Rubio is young, is of Spanish decent and was integral to a bipartisan, comprehensive amnesty bill for illegals proposed three years ago. I doubt that he knows that Rubio has since switched away from that "comprehensive" approach, to his credit, having recognized that it's a non starter.

His immigration policy seems like the most reasonable to me. We're not going to just roundup 15-20 million people in a few months and send them back to wherever they came from.
His path to citizenship is reasonable as well. English immersion, long waiting period, track record of being a productive member of society, very strict guidelines. Then harness the power of legal immigration to bring people to this country that can help us advance so we're still growing.
I know everyone talks tough and then when it becomes actual proposal time it starts looking more and more watered down but his plan now is a very good compromise I think.

Only wackjobs like Joe thinks somebody like Ted Cruz could win a national election. The further right the candidate is the less chance he has. You think Romney and McCain lost big??? Nominate Cruz or Trump.....they will not win any crucial state needed.....Florida and Ohio both out....and neither of them can turn a blue state to red.
What do you think matters to voters then?
Exit polls consistently show over the last 20 years that the economy is usually the highest priority unless it is a time of perceived heightened geopolitical risk.
"Jobs plan" is part of economic issues.
If the electorate doesn't care about creating good well paying jobs then they deserve what they get.
