mrhognuts...CoachLT bets into our office and I talk to him about twice a month, met him at the Bash last year, very funny guy...how about that horse called Fat Man Walking, too bad I was not looking at the horse charts that day....Today I jogged 10 minutes and walked for 5 minutes for 45 minutes...walked the other 15 minutes, total of 4.8 miles....the last time I wore 44 inch pants was when I was officiating high school wrestling in Las Vegas...hopefully I will again sometime this summer....

mrhognuts...every once in awhile I hit a wall, but all my friends keep me from giving up and posting here keeps me going forward...my military background helps me because I know what it takes to reach certain goals....a friend of mine told me to eat some carbs once in awhile, it tricks the body and that makes it easier to lose weight when you think you have hit a wall....one of my goals is to jog 60 minutes continuously without stopping....hopefully that will happen late Feb....by the way you should try to make it to the 2007 RX BASH,last year was a good time....

walked 50 minutes and jogged for another mile,,please takeot that i have jogged for a mile on consecutive days,so i guess my old body is gettin accustomed to the exercise,,my feet and legs werent sore at all this morn and joggin the mile was not nearly as hard as it was yesterday..guys,please understand that this is the slowest possible jog,i go as slow as i can and it still be considered joggin,im very encouraged by my body being able to handle it on consecutive days.. it has only been a couple weeks ago that 1/4 mile would take me out,,,,in this fight against fat it seems like just hangin in there will get you where you need to be,,albeit sometimes slow as hell

dante,i do 90% of my walkin and joggin on grass or one of those rubberized tracks they have at the colleges,,i would never run on concrete,,i can tell a difference just walkin on it...the first thing i do every mornin is check my feet and knees to see how they have reacted to yesterdays wear and tear.

Hognuts....the same with me, I stay off the concrete as much as I can....I don't know how you can stand the cold weather, I'd be inside the gym...by the way, I've never smoked in my life so that is why I can go really hard on the treadmill and take longer walks in the park....Today walked 18 on the golf course, one hour on the treadmill, and 45 minutes in the park....good day for me....two more hard weeks hognuts and I'll let you in on a secret about this weight loss...

Today played a two-man scramble and walked the 18 holes....then went to the gym and spent 70 minutes on the treadmill with Creedence Clearwater Revival blasting away....feeling real good, the only thing is I have to increase speed and time to my workouts because they are getting easier to do....Pura Vida!!!!

viejo, from what ive read, any exercise we do,our bodies become efficient at it thus its easier to do,,that is why i try and change my routine every day,,yesterday i walked up a continuous hill for at least 90 minutes and then walked back down the hill, today i did some wlkin and jogged a bit,etc etc,,whatever im doin its workin,.my 4x tshirts now swallow me and i only wear them at night with my pajamas,,3x feels about right,,i feel like i have lost a hell of a lot more weight than i actually have,,one thing for sure is my body composition as it is now cannot even be prepared to how it was when i started,,i believe as long as we are enjoying our daily exercise we wont get burned out give up,,ive began to really enjoy meeting people on the trails and talkin about walkin, runnin, nutrition etcetc,,the 22nd will be 2 months that ive been exercising, not very long at all.
