This August it will be 33 years of regular walking for me although it's only twice a week now instead of 3 or 4 times a week. I get some exercise mowing my lawn so that makes up for it.
been on the carnivore diet for 32 days and dropped 14 lbs of lard..i walk because it makes me feel better..found out through experience that yes it is what we put in our mouths..giddyup90% of it is what you put in your mouth.
Sure waking is good for cardio health but the calories burned are replaced immediately with a few slices of pizza.
Find a solid veggie features diet w chicken turkey & fish protein cooked appropriately. No bread rice potatoes pasta fruits etc. Drink water, unsweetened ice tea, club soda no fruit juices or sugar sodas or artificial sweeteners.
GL!
this was some great adviceSo did you change your poster name?
Sounds like you've had some success, so congrats on that.
Out of curiosity, have you ever thought about seeing a dietician? That really tends to be 75%+ of the losing weight equation. I've often explained to my clients that you don't have to feel like you're in starvation mode to lose weight. If you're eating the right kinds of foods, you can often eat more and feel satiated. Walking is going to burn roughly 100 calories per mile (which is fine if that works for you). I often find people have more success focusing on the intake side of the equation.
In any event, continued success to you.
more great advice that i have incorporated into the carnivore way of eating...fast for 16 hours and have an 8 hour eating window.Keep up the good work! Remember you can't outrun your fork, or in your case outwalk your fork, unless you're an Olympic rower. Try intermittent fasting. I only eat twice in a 6-7 hour window and I've dropped 25 pounds.
