hell on wheels,,one more thing i thought of,,everything is relative,,if you look at viejos posts,he probably pushes himself harder than i do(trainer) but i am probably spending more time goin at it than he is,it all boils down to the same thing,,energy in and energy out,,im sure that viejo has a lot to share with you that he has learned from his trainer,,it sounds like to me that hes got a pretty good routine goin,,370 to 290 = he has worked his ass off im sure,,it aint easy but its doable if you have had enough of bein obese,,,ps when i lose 22 more lbs i wont be "obese"any more,,just a regular old fatass,,hehehe,,,hell on wheels hang in there til your ass falls off,,(a term i learned in alcoholics annonymous)

Talked to my trainer about walking in nasty weather...he says although he is not against it, it is better to be indoors during inclimate weather...it won't harm you but you can catch cold which could lead to a virus or chest colds...I usually take one day off per week but I find that my routine changes and I'm really not comfortable with that....I work only nites so I'm flexible during the day...between golf, the gym, and walking in the park, my days are pretty busy...been going real hard and enjoying the results...it is summer here in Costa Rica and the days are gorgeous....by Superbowl hope to be around 270.....welcome Hell on Wheels....keep pushing yourself and you will be amazed what you can do, even if you are overweight to begin with...

About the treadmill....for the past 3 months, I have only missed about 8 days...the very first day I set the speed on 5.5 and the incline on 1.0 and did my 30 minutes...I am now walking on the treadmill between 6.6 and 7.2 with the incline between 1.0 and 3.0 for anywhere between one hour and 90 minutes....and with my ipod for my music...I don't lift weights, but I think I am ready for some bike work or spinning classes....hognuts and HOW's, keep in touch...

Sorry to sound like tool, but colds and cold weather have no correlation. I agree, it is better to workout indoors. But cold weather does not cause one to get a cold.
I also agree that one should take at least one day off a week from working out.

Viruses cause colds not cold weather. However, cold weather can lead to colds in that colder weather usually causes higher stress and a stressful environment leads to a weaker immune system. Also, in climates that are very cold people have a tendency to stay indoors more and that leads to being closer to other people with the cold virus.
