day 6 is in the books,and what a day.parked at walmart,walked to college track,did one mile(17minutes) followed bike trail to front door of artisan center,walked down and back up service road that runs behind artisan center,got back on bike trail, was gettin tired so walked backward from start of bike trail to just past the bank.whewww...turned around and folowed bike trail to berea college,hit main street back to walmart!!...3 HOURS AND 36 MINUTES! for the last hour,i was so tired,legs,hips,knees, everything was hurtin..i got to thinkin,if somebody stops and offers me a ride,would i take it? need to subtract 15 minutes from total time,cause i stopped 5 times, 3 minutes each stop,for did leg and back stretches.also deduct 2 minutes x 3 for stops at bank once,and artisan center twice for h20..right now im wonderin how long it'll take to recover from todays session,hope its not more than 2 days....one things for sure,i was "fully extended"..BUUT,i'll sleep like a baby tonight,and if i was any more relaxed,id be in a fkn coma...'keep the continue'

day 7,and after bein a bit sore early this mornin,im feelin much better..very pleased with the way my body has recovred from yesterday,although last night i thought i might have done too much,too soon...the only cardioi'll do tody is playin the guitar,walkin to the mailbox,and cookin a bite to eat,but will do a set or two of preacher curls,and a lot of stretchin,etc..i think the reason im recoverin faster from yesterdays walk,than i did from sundays,is because of the 5 times i stopped and stretched my calves,back,etc,will make a point to remember that saturday..one thing this long distance walkin will teach you is patience,which sometimes i lack,..really need to go to the soccer field(1 mile rectangle) so i can see how far im walkin,but goin around i a circle,bores me to death...got plenty of time to think about it....im really beginnin to like walkin as far as i can,and then takin two days off,when i was doin 1 hr every day,i never felt like iwas at full strength,but havin two days off is great because when i go back out,i'll be fully rested,and that means everything,if youre workin on building endurance.....'keep the continue'

day 8,and it sure is a beautiful one,50 degrees and no wind..nothin like gettin up in the mornin,to enjoy a new sun...think i'll go and walk for a few minutes,maybe in the forest,still need one more day of rest..'keep the continue'

walked out to the interstate today,tryin to get myself acclimated to all those cars flyin by me,i dont even like to drive on the interstate,much less walk it...buuut,thats the only way for me to meet this challenge,annnd,WE MAKE EXCUSES TO DO WHAT WE WANT TO DO......o u c h! 3 hours: 40 minutes,and 'my dogs are barkin'(john candy in planes trains,automobiles)..sure aint gettin any easier...'keep the continue'

day 10,and i think im about to recover from yesterday,was i ever tired...did some stretchin,2 benchpress sets,and a whole lot of recliner,hehehe...one thing is for sure,i didnt like walkin on the interstae,all that tar and shit flyin in my face..12 oclock on a saturday afternoon,i couldnt have picked a worse time to be out there,probably the busiest of the week,if i go back tuesday,will try and get out there earlier....on second thought,might just go back to the bike trail for a while and fk the interstate til march 1st....bein out there has sure made me appreciate all the good walkin spots in berea...'keep the continue'

day 11,20 degrees..just remembered ive got drs appt(colonoscopy)friday,which will disrupt plans to walk every third day,so for the rest of this week,think i'll just go out every day and see what happens..anywho,im beginnin to not like takin off 2 days in a row,just doesnt feel right..although its only been 1 day since i did 3hrs:40 minutes,gonna go out and try to get in about an hr of cardio,if my feet and knees dont act up....might go to the soccer field and walk on grass for a change..'keep the continue

last night,weatherman said it was gonna get bad,so i mentally prepared for the worst,i was one psyched mfer,cause i love snow and everything that comes with it....buuut,it turned out to be a beautiful 50 degree day....hiked the neighborhood for 45 minutes,little bit of slow joggin,for a very refreshing change of pace....will go back out this evenin,and try that again...'keep the continue'

26 degrees,thought id walk to shell and get paper,but it only took 20 minutes to get there so i just went on to walmart,90 minute round trip..found out im only goin for drs consultation friday,so i figure it'll be a good hike to the hospital,im guessin about 2 hr:30 minute round trip..'keep the continue'

was 50 degrees today,so i walked to berea hospital for consultation..place was full of holiness people who are quite insane.... had ekg,blood test,chest xray..consultation my ass.....1 hr :5 minutes each way,so a pretty good hike ...goin to have colonoscopy on feb 26,scheduled it early so i can avoid holyrollers..'keep the continue'

always wanted to,so today i did..walked to the library and back..1hr:20 minutes to get there,1hr:16 minutes comin back...guess i was gettin fastr,hehehe...not really,on the way there,had to stop and stretch a couple times..one thing for sure,next time i try that,i'll take a backpack,if i intend to check out any books,checked out 2 today and it drove me crazy tryin to figure out where to put'em....'keep the continue'.

welcome to another segment of MRHOGNUTS KITCHEN::::.....gonna spend the day cookin up a supply of ,peas,carrots,green beans,pinto beans....i always dice up several onions and throw'em in the pot,along with a little black pepper and some season all,sure makes 'em tasty.....on a sad note,ive about quit eatin cornbread.found out there was 400 calories in one cup of yellow corn meal,and i would eat 2 big pieces every meal..in my pinto beans(we call 'em soup beans in ky) i put in 3 or 4 onions, a package of turkey bacon,black pepper.turn the burner on very low for about 12 hrs..good stuff...'keep the continue'

all the cardio i'll get today is a trip to the mailbox..i always see these college kids walkin around nonchalantly like they dont even know they've got a backpack on,and thought id do the same..NOT...didnt hurt my back or anything but it wore my hips and knees out,especially the hills...carryin 20 extra pounds,up hill and down,for one hour,is one heck of a workout.....will probably put the pack on and go to the store 2mor..round trip to walmart only takes 1hr:10 minutes,,, after these 2 and 3 hr trips,that'll be a breeze......havent had a bite of cornbread for 4 days now,and im gettin used to it,nothin but meat,veggies,fruit,water,and decaf..by april 1st,maybe i'll be ready to take that trip to richmond,but i doubt it,maybe later in the summer.......'keep the continue'
