a MONUMENTAL day for me..went to the bike trail this afternoon.warmed up for 5 minutes,and then JOGGED FOR 60 CONSECUTIVE MINUTES..thats not a typo..jogged for one solid hour,but heres the good part..the first 1.9 miles of the bike trail,is slightly uphill,and i had challenged myself to give it all i had,and see if i could jog uphill for that distance,and then maybe improve on the 37 minutes that i did tuesday...well,i made the first leg of the trail in 29 minutes,turned around and headed back,initially just tryin to do 40 minutes,buut...all of a sudden it got cloudy,looked like rain,and felt like the temp dropped,5 or 10 degrees..anyhoo,after i hit the 40 minute mark,i got a second wind or somethin,and decided to give it everything i had,and see if i could finish the trail,and or last for 60 minutes,and i did...YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHA....i cant put into words how it makes me feel,to be able to do,what i did today....ive worked since last thanksgiving day,to condition myself for this,and i cant hardly believe that ive done it....i think what finally put me over the top,was to make myself take it easy,every other day,and then to jog,every other day...what a difference,when you allow your body to rest,and recuperate....i learned one hell of a lot about recovery,from bodybuilding.com...heck of a site,if you want to learn about stressin the muscles,resting,then doin it again.,and ultimately,gettin stronger...tomorrow,ill probably mess around with the weights,and walk for 20 or 30 minutes...cant believe it,but im lookin forward to saturday...ps..i was so tired,i forgot to stretch,and was in the car,headed home,before i realizd it..hehehe...i NEVER forget to stretch,cause if i dont,my legs get so sore,i cant walk...what a fkn day!
