cut that last post short, had to get my chicken ot of the oven,,was readin some stuff last night by tom venuto,he said,it was his experience, that 30 to 45 minutes,of serious joggin,if you did it every day, thats 7 days a week, takin no days off,was just as good as doin the hiit, and you would eventually, get to where you need to be,thats pretty much, what im doin, sooo.i guess ill stick with what im doin,,today was 5 consecutive days,of joggin 2 miles, and walkin one, still no problem at all, with the knees, just 2 more days,of my little experiment,i know one thing i need to do is get my ass out early, maybe even before the sun comes up,until today, the mornings were very comfortable, but today at 10am,it was hot and humid, makes a lotof difference, when youre joggin...my goal for 2mor is to get out on the trails,by no later, than 6am,,ooops,thats about what time i go to bed, hehehe,,seriously, thats somethin i need to work on....'viejo,ive found, that i can do,a little bit,of anything, the first time i jogged,i did 10 paces, and thought i wouldnt make it to the fkn car,i eventually learned,to do my joggin,at the end of my walk,it wore me out,but it didnt matter,my workout, was almost finished anyway,at our age,it takes a while for our bodies to get stronger, but if we 'keep the continue'and try and be patient,(easier said than done, for me)we can do anything the kids can do,the biggest drawback, for me at 55,rather than 35,is the amount of time,it takes to recover,i could walk 10 miles,or jog 5 miles 2mor,BUT,it would take me a week,to get back to normal,so it just aint worth it,hopefully,im a bit wiser, than i was at 35,but im never goin to let my age prevent me from doin a damned thing, that i want to do,now get your ass out there and sprint, oldhognuts, will be right behind ye,hehehe..'keep the continue'
