cut that last post short, had to get my chicken ot of the oven,,was readin some stuff last night by tom venuto,he said,it was his experience, that 30 to 45 minutes,of serious joggin,if you did it every day, thats 7 days a week, takin no days off,was just as good as doin the hiit, and you would eventually, get to where you need to be,thats pretty much, what im doin, sooo.i guess ill stick with what im doin,,today was 5 consecutive days,of joggin 2 miles, and walkin one, still no problem at all, with the knees, just 2 more days,of my little experiment,i know one thing i need to do is get my ass out early, maybe even before the sun comes up,until today, the mornings were very comfortable, but today at 10am,it was hot and humid, makes a lotof difference, when youre joggin...my goal for 2mor is to get out on the trails,by no later, than 6am,,ooops,thats about what time i go to bed, hehehe,,seriously, thats somethin i need to work on....'viejo,ive found, that i can do,a little bit,of anything, the first time i jogged,i did 10 paces, and thought i wouldnt make it to the fkn car,i eventually learned,to do my joggin,at the end of my walk,it wore me out,but it didnt matter,my workout, was almost finished anyway,at our age,it takes a while for our bodies to get stronger, but if we 'keep the continue'and try and be patient,(easier said than done, for me)we can do anything the kids can do,the biggest drawback, for me at 55,rather than 35,is the amount of time,it takes to recover,i could walk 10 miles,or jog 5 miles 2mor,BUT,it would take me a week,to get back to normal,so it just aint worth it,hopefully,im a bit wiser, than i was at 35,but im never goin to let my age prevent me from doin a damned thing, that i want to do,now get your ass out there and sprint, oldhognuts, will be right behind ye,hehehe..'keep the continue'

rained last night,so i went to the track this mornin, didnt get out there til 10 oclock, but the rain had washed all the pollen and crap outof the air,so it was very pleasant, jogged 2miles and walked one, goin to the track,is almost like takin a break, the soccer field, where i usually walk,is a retangle of one mile,2 long sides, and 2 short ends, the far end, walkin north,is up a slight hill,i usually ,(when im joggin)would head south,so i could get a break,on that little hill, well, yesterday,i went north, and jogged up that hill,on both of my laps,it doesnt sound like much, but it is,if youre over weight, and have never tried to jog up a hill,it wore me out yesterday, but after some rest,i felt stronger this mornin, than i felt the mornin before,no pain,no gain, type of deal,,on my last lap of joggin today.i took it to another level, old hognuts was burnin that fkn track up,i dont know if its true or not,ut some woman behind me said she seen smoke comin out of my shoes, and hat id need new pair, tomorrow,i said darlin, THATS THE PRICE YE GOT TO PAY,TO BE A FKN TRACK STAR! hehehe,'keep the continue'

jogged 2 miles and walked 1/2,this mornin, but it was a different 2 miles, had to go to the library, and while i was there,i realized that being as they have a half mile paved trail, that goes around the building,i could kill 2 birds with one stone, drop off my books, and do my joggin, while i was there, before i started,i seen that part of the trail, had a pretty good hill to it,much more than at the soccer field,it looke like a real challenge, and i felt good,so i headed out,i knew hn i went up the inclne,on my first round, that id need to pace myself,if i was goin to make 4 rounds, well,by the time i started up that little hill, for the 4th time,i was damned glad that it was my last round,i dont think could have made it up that sumbitch again,i dont know how many calories i burned, but it must have been about 10000,hehehe,if i feel up to it,ill go back again 2mor,but that might be a bit much,on consecutive days....well,i made my goal,of joggin 2 miles, every day for a week, and i found out,2 things,i can jog every day,and if i dont go over 2 miles, there wont be any problems with my knees, annnd, one positive aspect,of not startin to jog,til i was 55 years old,is that i didnt wear my knees out, tryin to jog, when i was a young man,i think joggin is a great tool,if you use it right, but like anything else, you can damage yourself,if you dont use common sense....one thing is for sure,id like to drop a pound or two,its been a while, since i lost any,,,if what i did today doesnt 'shock my body',a fkn earthquake wouldnt shock it,hehehe,..'keep te continue'

seymour,i started joggin, april 22,and ive been doin weight trainin, for about a month,i havent lost any weight(on the scales)i feel %100 better, stronger, etc, since i started gettin my heart rate up,,and doin the weights,as far as speed,i dont know how fast im goin, but its not very fast,im goin to time myself 2mor,and find out,i believe,if i jog 2 miles every day,the weight will come off, eventually, butif i dont lose any in another month,il know im doin somethin wrong,i do know, that in a cardiovascular sense,im far ahead of where i was 1 month ago..ive been losin the fat at about 1.3 lbs per week,i really dont need to lose it any faster, than that, ive still got about 5 and 1/2 months to meet my goal,,,annnd,if i dont lose any by june 1st,ill start walkin again....'keep the continue'

headed out to the soccer field,at 10am,73 degrees, after gettin the idea from seymour,i timed myself this mornin, and actually did better than i thought i could,i jogged 1 mile, goin north,(which has the incline),i knew i was on the clock, and would have to come in here and post the results,so i gave it everything i had,and did the mile in 15 minutes,i knew i was only goin to do 1 mile,so i left it all on the fkn field, hehehe,,,i could not have done it any faster,,that took a lot out of old hongnuts,so i decided to walk a mile, and cool off, which took me 17 minutes,,i then began to wonder, how long it would take me to do a mile,at a regulation track, where it is all on level land, and you know that when you do a round, its exactly,1/4 mile, sooo i drive down to the college,(no more than 5 minutes) and did a mile on their rubberized track,it took me 15 minutes, and believe me,one more time, old hognuts, left it all on the track,by that time,i felt like i had done all the fkn joggin,i was capable of,on this fine saturday mornin,so i did 2/4 cool down,my stretches, and got my ass back to this recliner...while i was disapointed, that i couldnt go faster at the track, than i did at the soccer field, overall,it was a fantastic day,i thought that at best,.i might do a mile in 16 minutes, thought id have to lose another 20 lbs, before i could even think about 15,,i remember very well, when it took me 23 or 24 minutes,to walk a mile, and it was torture,,,in the mornin,(if im able, hehehe)if i dont change my mind,im goin to the 1/4 mile track, and see if i can do a mile, under 15 minutes....again,thanks to seymour, for suggestin that i time myself...'keep the continue'

back at the1/4 mile track this mornin, was well rested from yesterday, and was eagerto see how long it would take,to do my 1st mile well, all out,as hard as i could go,14 minutes,on the nose, walked 2/4,jogged another mile, then cooled off walkin 2/4,,one heck of a workout, kept my heartrate up for app 45 minutes, one more thing im goin to start doin,is not eatin anything, for 60 minutes, after my exercise,i read an article, somewhere on the net,and it suggested this,to expedite fat loss,it wont be easy, cause the harder my workout, the hungrier i am,i remember readin in some old health books, that exercise would cause you to have less of an appetite, that is a great big load of horseshit,it makes me hungry as hell...'keep the continue'

found out 2nite,ive lost a little more off my stomach,it turned cool this evenin, needed to go to the grocery, and i thought id wear some long pants,of which i never wear,in the summer time, when i tried on my 44s,they felt big on me,and i realized i needed a belt,or suspenders,to hold them up,thats when i got the idea,to try that fkn suit on,one more time,to make a long story short,if somebody other than me dies, ive got a nice suit,to wear to their funeral, and if i die,ive already told my sister to bury me in it....as hard as ive been workin,i just knew that i had to have lost some weight, when youre depending on the scale, and not your clothes,it can be frustrating,i weigh myself evrey mornin, after i jog,and the numbers are the same as they have been for a while,228,i hadnt wore those pants,in about a month, and what a difference,i have noticed,in the past, that whenever i lose in my waist,it wont be long, before ill drop 3 or 4 pounds, really fast, part of the confusion, probably lies, inthe weight trainin,im doin, while i dont go to the extreme with it,i try and work with the weights,to some extent, about every day....got to get some rest, first thing in the mornin,im gonna try and do a mile in under 14 minutes, dont know if ill make it,(2mor)but im lookin forward to the challenge....ps,i seen my elderly (82)aunt at the store, and she didnt know who i was,i hope its because ive lost weight,hehehe...'keep the continue'

did a mile this mornin in 13:23,,yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeha,another all time outdoor, worlds record, for old hognuts,,,,of course,it was at the soccer field, goin south, which means one end, goes slightly down hill,,joggin that mile, took about %65,of the energy, that i had available,so i walked a mile in 16 minutes, and then one more,in 17,other than the last half mile,i had my heart rate up to a pretty good speed, about 40 minutes, til i slowed down, and started doin my knee bends, etc,,,ive cut 10 minutes off the 23,it was takin me to do a mile, when i first started, cardiovascularly speakin,im far ahead of where i thought id be,in app 6 months, right now,im in the 23rd,may 22nd,will be 6 months,on my little journey,to better health, ive only lost 32 lbs, since nov 22nd,but i feel like ive lost a 100,now that im challenging myself, with the joggin, the highlight of my day,is gettin out on the trails, hopefully before sunrise(im workin on that, hehehe)to see how far i can push myself, and to see if ive gotten stronger, than i was the previous day, 'keep the continue'

the best thing i ever did,was put the watch back on arm,and start timing myself, its obvious, that droppin those 3 lbs,is a result of the increase in intensity,of my joggin, the last few days,i can now see, that i wasnt goin at it hard enough,to force my body,to release the fat...im not much of a writer, and i hope,im not makin this sound like its easy,i cannot stress enough, that i have worked my ass off,i dont believe i have ever been as diligent,at anything else, ive ever done.
