Good luck
also, are you guys using body calipers to measure your body fat? Not extremely accurate but close enough.
Those doctors are out of their minds at times...I.m sure that is the IDEAL weight, but truthfully there are not alot of Americans at the ideal weight..I figure if I'm feeling good and eating healthy, that I'm OK....so far, so good...
if i didnt have this xtra 30 pounds,i know id feel better,im actually very curious to know, what my ideal weight is,guess ill know, when i get there, but i do realize, everybodys body is unique,my younger brother is shorter than me,but can carry more weight, than i can,he was always 'stockier'than me.Those doctors are out of their minds at times...I.m sure that is the IDEAL weight, but truthfully there are not alot of Americans at the ideal weight..I figure if I'm feeling good and eating healthy, that I'm OK....so far, so good...
jman, because of obesity,in essence, not exercising my heart muscle, ive been on the verge of all those conditions, sure feels better to be turnin it around.SOME INSPIRATION FOR THE DAY....YOU HAVE TO HAVE HEART IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE!
Your heart is a muscular organ that is responsible for pumping the blood's nutrients and oxygen throughout your body, while simultaneously transporting waste products for elimination. The stronger your heart, the more tolerance you will have for stress and strain.
Strengthen your heart muscle by increasing your pulse rate to between 60 and 80 percent of your maximum heart rate (MHR) when you exercise. (Hint: you can find your MHR by subtracting your age from 220. For example, if you are 40, your MHR is 180 beats per minute.
Your optimal range of 60 to 80 percent would be calculated as 108 to 144 beats per minute.) Practice an aerobic activity at this rate for 30 minutes a day, three to four times a week to keep your heart pumping strong.
Aerobic exercises that focus on increasing cardiovascular endurance include bicycling, lap swimming, walking, and running. Frequent and consistent aerobic exercise has been found helpful in preventing or treating such serious conditions as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, insomnia, and depression.
Sprinting is one of the best ways to burn fat without having to run for 5 miles. Short sprints with a short recovery is a great way to burn fat and shock the body. One of the best ways of getting in shape I ever did was the Body For Life cardio program. 15 to 20 minutes and you were cashed.another beautiful mornin here in ky,65 degrees,,out to the soccer field about 9:am,hasnt rained for a couple days,so it was good and dry, jogged 2 miles, and walked 1 mile, thats 4 consecutive days,of joggin 2 miles, and the knees still seem to be doin fine, not the slightest irritation,im thinkin those exercises,(squats)are doin the job, glad i started doin em,i can tell a difference, even when i get up out of a chair....been doin some research on how our bodies adapt, and become more efficient(burnin less calories)when we do the same thing, every day, thats one of the reasons,i stopped walkin 4 or 5 miles a day, from what ive read, after about 2 months, you can walk yourself to death, and you wont accomplish as much as you would have,if you had just jogged a couple miles every day,,,this hiit, makes a lot of sense.to me,in the near future,im goin to try the,run as fast as you can for 30 seconds, take all the time you need to recover, then run as fast asyou can for 30 seconds again, etc etc until youve completed 6, 30 second bursts,my only concern is,if youre the least bit out of shape,it will wear your ass out,in a hurry,i know that if i go that route, the other 23 hours of the day,ill be in this recliner, hehehe, one thing ive learned is this,ye got to change things up,as often,as you possibly can....'keep the continue'
