Buster....great story, bet you can even strech your workouts to 60 minutes a day....anyone who wants can afford to give up an hour a day to better condition themselves....I was in the same boat as you Buster, went from 370 on October 3rd and now around 273...I make it a point to workout everyday except Sunday...during my weight loss I gave up soda but recently began to drink diet-cokes...as of today I quit the diet soda....Hognuts is really intense and his exercise regimen makes for good reading, 99 per cent of posters are behind him....maybe you have some suggestions for us about food intake and workouts.....any help is greatly appreciated....By the way, I am going to Thailand at the end of the month for 33 days, and I already signed up at the local gym in Pattaya Beach...gotta keep ahead of myself because I really don't want to gain any weight back.....good luck Buster...

swear i did not even do anything as far as workouts went.i simply walked for 20 measly minutes a day,as time went by i do remember that walk turning into a little jog.

as far as dietary wendy's freaking chili of all things and also remember buying a lot of watermelon and grapes, and for dinner like i said i ate at outback, ot longhorn and usually got the chicken breast(2) pieces and drank a lot of beer basically every night and water during the day.

at this time i was 36 and (as you can see from my picture) hehehehehe was a ladies man.the change in my life was incredible, and i let it slip through my hands.

what i am saying do not stop under no circumstances keep it up.you will get to a point where it stops(the weight loss) mine hit the wall at about 180 or so,but as i said i am now back up to i would say 220? or so. and feeling tired and such and decided 2 weeks ago to start again.

i was heavy my whole life and really wish i would have known then what i know now.DON'T DRINK ANY KIND OF SOFT DRINKS! DIET OR WHATEVER AND SIMPLY WALK 20 MINUTES OR SO EACH DAY.

it honestly did change my life and i will be back again at 41,after 2 short weeks i can honestly tell

YOU GUYS KEEP IT UP! BUT NO SOFT DRINKS AND VERY LIMITED BREAD

AND ALSO REMEMBER. the heavier you are at first the faster the weight will come off.like i said i started in about feb of 2001 and by may i had already almost hit the wall, and thought i was invincilble and started skimping on all of the things that got me to that point.

DO NOT STOP WHEN YOU GET TO A POINT.my breaking point was in october of the following year when i ran into a former childhood sweetheart that everyone in my high school wanted but could not get.well long story short i finally had her almost 20 years later, but i drifted away from my routine and it ended up costing me.

BUT I AM BACK NOW AND AT 41 I KNOW IT WILL BE HARDER BUT I AM GOOD TO GO

buster, you lost your weight too fast,100 lbs in 4 months is 6 and 1/4 lbs a week,,jesus fkn christ, all the medical people advise against that,if you starve yourself you will put the weight back on,exercise(in my opinion)is the only healthy way to lose,,each and every person that i have talked with about weight loss who lost it like you did, eventually put it back on.

buster,ill be 55 in april

well as you already know it will be harder but you also know that it works. you like me must look back now and kick yourself for wasting all those years.i myself promise that i will not let it happen again.

i have no problem with the no soft drinks(even diet, that's bullshit) just eat sensible whether it be chicken, meat,or whatever AND SIMPLY WALK 20 MEASLY MINUTES A DAY.IT IS NOT THAT HARD.

IT PAINED ME TO GO BACK UP TO ABOUT 220 OR SO AND MY LOSS OF ENERGY SUCKED,BUT AS I SAID I WILL BE BACK. i want to get back to 34 inch waist by june or so and will keep on filling you guys in.

I HAVE SAW THIS THREAD BEFORE DURING MY TIME HERE and really wished i would have chimed in sooner!

as i stated.the heavier you are at first the faster it came off. i don't know how to explain it. i only wish i would have known sooner that, that was all there was to it.i may be off a month or so but i remember weighing myself on a scale evertime i went to (BJ'S) they had a sample scale out on the floor. and i was amazed at what i saw.

and as you already know. there is NO BETTER FEELING IN THE WORLD THAN HAVING TO GO AND BUY NEW CLOTHES THAT ARE SMALLER THAN WHAT YOU HAVE BOUGHT IN THE PAST.

i sit here right now remembering what that was like and i want that feeling again. it is incredible.

thank you for this thread and i hope everything comes together for everyone. it has been inspiring to me and hope it is to others.

IT WORKS DAMMIT.SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS WALKING 20 MINUTES A DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES! even now as spring is busting out here i have found myself getting pissed.and that is why i started walking again. i keep the same diet as i have all along but threw back in the walking. i hope it works and can already tell by the differeence in energy and how i feel when i wake up.

like i said i wid=sh i would have never stopped.

and now i look back and remember what it was like to buy a 34 inch waist levi after almost 20 years, and let me tell you man! there was not a better feeling in the world.it does not matter how rich you are,you feel good spending that money.

but going back and having to buy a 38 is not that fun.i will be back.

buster, ive got 38s through 50s in my closet,,not a better feeling than realizin your clothes are too big for ye,ive got clothes several years old that ive never worn,id buy what i always bought get home and they wouldnt fit,ill never forget the first time i had to go to the big and tall store,(had to drive 50 miles,we dont have one in my little town, nothin as demoralizin as findin out youre so fat and out of shape that you cant buy a pair of pants to fit you in your community, like i have said before, being fat has changed who i am,,,fk that,i would rather eat shit and die than continue on like that, its not livin, just existing, and a miserable existance at that.

viejo, ive got some 42 and 44 summer shorts that ive never worn, also several nice 2x shirts that i got for christmas,at one time or another, right now a 3x shirt fits pretty good,i cant stand anything tight on me,especially the stomach, hmmm, might go and try that suit on.....NOT,it was snug at 235,the reason i remember so well is i wore it to my dads funeral, now that im thinkin about it,my dad passed in march,3 years ago, right after that i started my way up to 295,i swear i think i gained 60 lbs in one year,unbelievable....it must feel great to shed 100 lbs viejo, ive dropped 55 and i feel like ive been rescued from the dead...

daviso7, welcome aboard compadre,,here in a nutshell is what i have learned, whether you believe you can get back to a healthy weight or not is beside the point,go out there every fkn day and do what you can,,do enough so that when you lay yer head down on that pillow at night, you are not ashamed of yourself, but are proud of what you have done today to get yourself back to where you can hold your head up in the air like a human being should, when you walk down the street,or look in the mirrow, this works for me,i think its called growin up and takin responsibility for my body,,"keep the continue" sammy sosa
