6/4 mile joggin,1/4 mile walkin backward,1/4mile walkin forward, its sort of freakin me out that i can jog so far,i think those 3 months of walkin hills are finally payin off, from one day to the next, i can tell a difference the degree of difficulty everything i do,in 3 days ive gone from joggin 1/4 to 4/4 to 6/4 miles, guess those hills built up some strength in my legs, for the first couple months,i would be sore for the next 20 hours ,after a walk, now i really dont get sore, unless youre talkin about my shoulders after i try some pushups, hehehe,by the way,i did 5 pushups this mornin and im here o tell ye it wasnt easy,i was maxed out on 5 of em,that is pitiful but it is more than i have done in years,,goin to go back out this evenin(before the games, hehehe)and do a couple more miles.

8 pushups and 75 situps this mornin, sure is hard on an old fat man but i can feel my arms and shoulders gettin just a lil bit stronger, those 8 pushups were much easier to do than the first one, will do more situps and possibly(hehehe) more pushups, later in the day,,gotta go do some walkin, goin to be around 50 degrees today and that gives me a splendid opportunity to put this fat in its place, somewhere other than my stomach!!

went to an inside track this mornin,9rounds = 1 mile,I JOGGED 18/9 AND THEN WALKED 9/9,AN ALL TIME INSIDE 1/9 MILE TRACK RECORD FOR OLD HOGNUTS,,,,sportsrmylife, when i started changin my diet,i was 295,when i started walkin,i was 260,im currently at appr 245 but its time for me to weigh and i know i have lost some weight this week, even my pajamas are startin to fall off from me,my goal is to weigh 235(44 inch waist)by april 1st,,doin these situps and pushups has made me feel better all over,id like to say if i had known how much better they would make me feel i would have started sooner but that would be bs,,when i first started walkin,no way in hell i could do a pushup or situp,it is scary as hell to let yourself go,the way i did, sometimes i would think about givin up but i wanted to live and enjoy life, bein obese changes who you are,i got to the point where i was ashamed to go to the store,,every mfer that i would happen upon who knew me had a comment about my weight, sure is nice to be in control of what i eat, almost ate myself to death,i could not be any more proud of myself, now that i have turned this thing around...as sammy sosa says,'KEEP THE CONTINUE"

Congrats on the weight loss. I recently entered a weight loss contest at a local gym. It was a 6 week contest. I lost 20 pounds and to tell you the truth didn't give it 100% as I didn't work out each day and did have a couple of cheat days on the diet. I am going to enter the Body For Life contest starting this coming Monday. 12 weeks to see what I can really do when I go 100% into it.

Keep up the good work.

sportsrmylife, you lost 20 lbs in 6 weeks, thats 3 and 1/3 lbs a week, would be hard to beat that, only thing is,at first evrybody loses a lot of water and then it slows way down,,how much weight do you need to lose?

congratulations guys. 6 years ago to this month i started walking only 20 minutes a day.also quit soft drinks(and still have not had none) started eating of all things wendy's chili for brunch (2 larges) no bread and drank water about 150 oz. a day ate out at outback, longhorn or something similar nightly.

well long story short from feb to may i had lost almost 100 lbs. from a 44 waist to 34 waist in 4 months.i never felt as good as i did. then met a lot of fine young women and had my way with them and saw many people that could not beleive what had happened to me in just 4 short months.

anyhow,i ended up with so many good looking women that i became content and am now back up to 38 waist, and don't have near the energy i had.i finally took a look at myself and said "look if you don't have 20 measly minutes out of the day to feel good, you don't deserve to even live" so 2 weeks ago i started walking again 20 f'ing minutes a day that's all and i feel like a king.and have also noticed already that my clothes fit better in just 2 short weeks

bottom line is this,do not give up like i did !keep it up you will always feel good, and don't drink soft drinks! THEY ARE THE DEVIL! i drink nothing but water and beer(several times a week) and try not to eat bread.

viejo, you are the only one who has hung in there with me and i appreciate your input,it has meant a lot, notice how many have came in to the thread and said they were goin to lose this and that, and we never hear from them again, hehehe, this aint easy but from what ive read and experienced,it takes 90 days for your body to really change and we have weathered the storm,,do you still have your trainer? i guess by now you pretty much know what to do.

Buster....great story, bet you can even strech your workouts to 60 minutes a day....anyone who wants can afford to give up an hour a day to better condition themselves....I was in the same boat as you Buster, went from 370 on October 3rd and now around 273...I make it a point to workout everyday except Sunday...during my weight loss I gave up soda but recently began to drink diet-cokes...as of today I quit the diet soda....Hognuts is really intense and his exercise regimen makes for good reading, 99 per cent of posters are behind him....maybe you have some suggestions for us about food intake and workouts.....any help is greatly appreciated....By the way, I am going to Thailand at the end of the month for 33 days, and I already signed up at the local gym in Pattaya Beach...gotta keep ahead of myself because I really don't want to gain any weight back.....good luck Buster...

did 100 situps,10 pushups and walked at the track 8/4 miles,,after joggin 2 miles yesterday i needed to give myself a break, they say that 2 miles of cardio is for maintenance and everything over that is weight loss, so i guess you could say that today i maintained, came a friggin snowstorm while i was out and te temp dropped real fast, didnt have my bavaclava(sock cap face mask)so i did a lot of walkin backwards to keep the wind out of my face, the gusts were strong enough to almost knock ye down but i love playin in the snow.

Hognuts, I don't have a trainer anymore, but he is always at the gym and encourages me whenever I am there....I also gave him a nice bonus at the end of three months....I know I have alot more work ahead of me and you will be the first poster to know when I get to 240.....

welcome aboard buster, you said a lot of good things,im so glad i didnt have to deal with an addiction to what we here in ky call pop(nothin but sugar in that shit)the only soft drink i care about is diet sprite and fresca,i the summertime, and im very careful with those, they can change your taste buds and make foods like apples taste not sweet at all,,i drink decaf with heavy whipped cream and splendaseveral times a day,and water,i keep a quart mason jar full in my fridge and drink a whole quart when i get it out,,one thing ive noticed is that i dont need but about 1/3 of the water in the winter as i do in summer."keep the continue"
