Hognuts...I'm in San Jose,C.R. and it is summertime here. Well let me explain to you why I've lost all this weight....remember I started at 370 on Oct.3rd....now I weigh in at 277 as of yesterday...Obviously I needed to lose weight, so nine of us down here got in a contest to see who could lose the most weight based on body percentage....Each month we weighed in and if you didn't lose at least 5 per cent of your body weight you had to pay an extra 1000 dollars on top of the 2000 dollar entry fee...some guys were in for less....Anyway, yesterday was the final day and I easily won....but it wasn't easy working out every day....Here are some of the things that I have learned the past 4 months.....You cannot starve yourself, one must eat in order to burn calories and lose fat.....You must exercise, the more calories you burn, the more you can eat.....You must eat the right things, fast foods are definitely out....You must get alot of rest and sleep....I took no vitamens and did not use any drugs or pills, just plain walking and exercising....I am continuing this plan because my goal is 250 by the end of March, right before my Thailand vacation....I feel better about myself and the comments from my friends and co-workers are encouraging....I have alot more energy now and I really look forward each day to going to the gym....So there you have it hognuts, I had an agenda but I also needed to lose weight for health reasons...I will continue to post to let you know how I'm doing and also to see how you are doing....posting was great therapy for me because there was a couple of times I wanted to quit, but other friends wouldn't let me...Continued success to you.....VD
