the ONLY way USC beats an SEC team is "if we send them your way (meaning you get them at home)"

Auburn '02/'03

Anyone else care to do a home/home series with USC....
I won't hold my breath waiting for some SEC school to speak up.

Why, that would be taking a large risk in the polls. Might not even get them into a decent bowl game. They know they are better off playing the LA Lafayettes of this world. Looks much better in the polls and helps preserve the SEC myth.

Is it really that big a coincidence that the Pac-10 wins their out of conference home games when they are the only conference with a contract insisting their officials referee the games?

How blatant was the illegal screen pass UCLA threw last night with all 5 lineman down field that was allowed.

So Conan is in full celebratory mode after Tennessee gift-wrapped a home game to UCLA. You would think his team won the SuperBowl. Tennessee wins that game last night by 4 TDs at home. There isn't a single team not named USC that would finish in the top 5 in the SEC. Get over it. Neuheisel is a great freaking coach who should never have been jobless so long. Im happy for him. At least UCLA didn't rush the field like Oregon did last yr. UCLA will still be lucky to make the Sun Bowl or better and Tennessee beats them 8 out of 10 times. That's sports

You gotta give Dwayne Walker credit where credit is due.
Also that special teams coach was worth his weight in gold last night.

Also, that screen pass was marginal because it was very close to the line of scrimmage where the receiver caught the ball. I'd hardly call that blatant.

Alabama is now a top team? Wow, so I guess Bowling Green should be considered elite also then because they dominated a ranked opponent also? They even did it on the road, so maybe we should considered them better than Bama?

Of coarse Bama is better than BG, and I thought they were underrated coming into the season, but they have become overrated in a hurry. They are not a top tier team at all. Georgia and Florida are still better, as well as Auburn and probably LSU.

The SEC as a whole is overrated this year. They are still the top conference IMO, but they have no standout team that I think will go undefeated or even just have one loss, and the middle teams aren't as good as usual.

You gotta love this (we) conference loyalty... especially coming from a loser like Alabama.
I suppose now there's nothing more to live for. How lame can anyone be?

To think I've waited 8 months for a timely whorezman pac10 bashing post. I'm going to savor this....

Ok, that's over.

It's really pretty simply. Pac10 schedules real teams for out of conference games, and the SEC schedules directional scools.

It's pretty ridiculous to compare. Tenn this year and last year. Michigan goes down (granted, not that impressive). Mich St this weekend. Not even counting USC on the ROAD on the EAST coast and flat out dominating.

The fact of the matter is, the top 3 or 4 of the Pac10 is better than the top 3 or 4 of the SEC, this has been proven on the field, and now the SEC refuses to even schedule them.

Yes, Tenn played badly and was coached horribly. But this is a ranked SEC school losing to a lower level Pac10 team. Humiliation.

Please don't talk about routing teams when lost as a 40 point favorite

If we get a Florida/Georgia vs. USC National Championship game this forum may explode.

So you've finally let the cat out of the bag. The SEC's secret to success. Keep it all at home wherever possible and don't travel too far EVER. They go out on the road like every other school in CFB and the lustre wears off their image of superiority. If they had been playing OOC vs top teams like most of the rest of the country has done, they wouldn't look so good. You guys got your BS down good. Let's all learn from it.

I'll write that down. Maybe the Pac can earn a BS superior image too as long as they stick to D 1-AA and WAC teams at home the way the SEC plays the Sun Belt. Give it a few years, all the Pac-10 teams with 10-2/9-3 records every year like the SEC and people will be fooled into thinking they are Gods.
