Look on the bright side if you think Seattle blew it and you wanted the Pats to lose.

If Gronk wasn't injury prone they probably would've won the last 4 superbowls

That's a ridiculous statement even from the biggest of Pats homers. Chop may have some competition.

I'm just messing around but a player of that caliber being hurt 3 years in a row for the biggest games is obviously unprecedented.

1st year healthy in 4 years and they win ain't no coincidence.

It's just funny how much I've heard about this Lane injury. Talib goes down 2 years in a row and there wasn't as much talk as Seattls nickelback.

Gronkowski is a huge factor, but, to me the difference this year is their defense.

Are you saying the Pats didn't pick on Simon? It happened and it was a huge factor. The guy gave up 3 TDs. Sorry you don't like it, but it's the truth.

Seattle lost the game.

Outside of their last offensive play, the penalties hurt them.

Everyone's assuming that Seattle would have absolutely, positively, scored if they had of called a different play.

They might have got stuffed on a run.

They might have fumbled it.

If they got stopped on the run, they were more than likely going to throw after that and not gotten in per incomplete passes...

Read somewhere, but forget where, that during this season, Seattle had the ball on the 1 yard line 5 times when they gave it to Lynch, and he scored 1 TD on those plays. Kind of surprising when he lead the lead in touchdowns.

What is the weakest part of the Seattle team. It is no secret it is their offensive line.

Bellichiek puts in his heavy people, goal line defense, won't even call a timeout, wants his goal line defense to win this game.

Carrol, does not like the match up, calls a pick play.

Isn't that is what you suppose to do in football, go with the match up? I seen a few Seattle games, that pick play always works for them. But an unknown DB, Bulter, a guy we never heard of before this game, makes a great play on the ball, a play of a lifetime.

If Lynch got stuff, which happened on a 3rd & 1 this Superbowl, people be howling, why not play action pass, or bootleg, or even pick play.

The previous evil empire leader of the NFL, the immortal words of Al Davis, just win baby.

That's a ridiculously small sample size. Lynch converted 17 of 20 times on 3rd/4th & short this year.

Lynch averaged 4.3 YPC for the game.

NE does not have a good run defense.

Run the damn ball!

If your nickelback getting hurt compromises your D that much it says more about the versatility/well roundness of your opponent and their ability to exploit any chink in the armor. He is what, their 20th best player at best?

Their D was better this yr than past years but Talib was a monster the last 2 years and got hurt in the AFCCG b2b years. Baltimore in particular was doing absolutely nothing and he was shutting down Boldin before he went down then the floodgates opened after that. This is a pro bowl caliber CB and I seriously have heard more about Lane going down more than him.

Lastly why would I not like that the Pats found a way to move the ball on Seattle? Of course I liked it. That is the object of the game.

Yeah I dunno why people keep citing that Lynch 1/5 from GL. Just small sample and completely meaningless.

I think 1 thing we all can agree on in this complex world is that Marshawn Lynch is a good short yardage runner.

If you read my post above I said the Pats were smart for picking on Simon. I gave them credit. I would argue that it's easier to isolate Simon because Seattle doesn't move their corners around like most teams do.

Talib injury was huge. I understand what you're saying about hearing more on Lane v Talib, but I think it's because this is the Super Bowl, not the AFC Championship game. After the AFC Championship game people just start talking about the Super Bowl. There's no game to move on to next week or in two weeks, this is all we have to discuss. Everything gets magnified.

Either way, congrats on the victory. Well deserved.

That's like the 3rd time you've congratulated me on the pats winning. I wasn't able to contribute to this victory. After the colts game they told me to stop messing with the balls for a little bit

How can the pats continue down the street in parade? Bellichick science would have those tires completely flat in 30 mins. Weird

I couldn't be at a Patriot/Seahawk parade without taking a swing at someone.

I would aim for that dumbass Patriot mascot that thinks he is George Washington then take everyone's tea and dump it in the harbor.

I don't like either team, but I did like seeing the Pats win put Marshawn Lynch and Sherman on "mute." Hopefully for good...

How can you have the #1 rush offense in the NFL but have a weak offensive line? Their week spot is the WR corps.

I have no idea what patsfan is talking about. If you call a pass play there (which is idiotic) how do you call a slant that puts the ball in the crowded middle of the field. Terrible job and the worst call in history.

Didn't BB have his goal line defense in the play before from the 5 yard line? I do enjoy patriot fans who refuse to accept bill made a bad call to not use a timeout....if seattle scores...all the talk is about that. Pete bailed out Bill with that call big time

They should have went 19-0. Great running game, great line, great defense, great quarterback. I guess it all went wrong without a HOF receiver.
