I'm just messing around but a player of that caliber being hurt 3 years in a row for the biggest games is obviously unprecedented.
1st year healthy in 4 years and they win ain't no coincidence.
It's just funny how much I've heard about this Lane injury. Talib goes down 2 years in a row and there wasn't as much talk as Seattls nickelback.
Everyone's assuming that Seattle would have absolutely, positively, scored if they had of called a different play.
They might have got stuffed on a run.
They might have fumbled it.
If they got stopped on the run, they were more than likely going to throw after that and not gotten in per incomplete passes...
Read somewhere, but forget where, that during this season, Seattle had the ball on the 1 yard line 5 times when they gave it to Lynch, and he scored 1 TD on those plays. Kind of surprising when he lead the lead in touchdowns.
What is the weakest part of the Seattle team. It is no secret it is their offensive line.
Bellichiek puts in his heavy people, goal line defense, won't even call a timeout, wants his goal line defense to win this game.
Carrol, does not like the match up, calls a pick play.
Isn't that is what you suppose to do in football, go with the match up? I seen a few Seattle games, that pick play always works for them. But an unknown DB, Bulter, a guy we never heard of before this game, makes a great play on the ball, a play of a lifetime.
If Lynch got stuff, which happened on a 3rd & 1 this Superbowl, people be howling, why not play action pass, or bootleg, or even pick play.
The previous evil empire leader of the NFL, the immortal words of Al Davis, just win baby.

Gronkowski is a huge factor, but, to me the difference this year is their defense.
Are you saying the Pats didn't pick on Simon? It happened and it was a huge factor. The guy gave up 3 TDs. Sorry you don't like it, but it's the truth.
That's a ridiculously small sample size. Lynch converted 17 of 20 times on 3rd/4th & short this year.
If your nickelback getting hurt compromises your D that much it says more about the versatility/well roundness of your opponent and their ability to exploit any chink in the armor. He is what, their 20th best player at best?
Their D was better this yr than past years but Talib was a monster the last 2 years and got hurt in the AFCCG b2b years. Baltimore in particular was doing absolutely nothing and he was shutting down Boldin before he went down then the floodgates opened after that. This is a pro bowl caliber CB and I seriously have heard more about Lane going down more than him.
Lastly why would I not like that the Pats found a way to move the ball on Seattle? Of course I liked it. That is the object of the game.

How can you have the #1 rush offense in the NFL but have a weak offensive line? Their week spot is the WR corps.
