No if they ran on 3rd down after the 2nd down.

26 to 22 then 22 to like 17

So you got 17 seconds to get everyone up, the ball centered, everyone lined up right, have the play and go. All while the entire superbowl is on the line. That is not good situation to be in.

Pats, I would've run Lynch on 2nd down with a play called for 3rd then call the TO if both plays don't get them in.

It depends on the team I guess. If it was a Chip Kelly team well versed in that style of play of quick snapping into running plays all year then MAYBE but Seattle just took 40 seconds to get off 2nd down and seemed totally befuddled once Belichick didn't call TO like they were hoping. After something like that I think they would be better off not trying to burn the candle at both ends and just get the 3 plays in.

Totally disagree. It took .40 because they didn't care. They were letting time tick. Wilson is a very good game manager.

Don't get me wrong I think any pass like that was insane considering Seattles WRs suck and they had Beast Mode and NEs D was likely exhausted at that point. I'd just want to get 3 plays off with none hurried

Even accounting for that, what you are saying they should've done would definitely be a race against the clock with only 1 TO.

I don't disagree on the basic premise of wanting to win or lose with Beast Mode obviously

seahawks lost it

basically like derrick rose choking free throws against kansas

ppl can throw out that marshawn hasn't been that good at the goal line, but it's not like every team has the same run D as the pats. odds are still in lynch's favor no matter how you spin it.

Teams without real quarterbacks have been using this for decades to describe their own.

You're taking my quote out of context which doesn't surprise me.

Pats and I were talking about managing a game with 1:06 on the clock and I said in that given situation, Wilson is a very good game manager so they would've been fine.

My game manager line had nothing to do with him as an overall NFL QB.

Enfuego, once it is proven he sucks, will you admit it? I will admit if I am wrong but obviously I rarely am. Will you still where your Steve Largent jersey once they become the modern day Tampa Bay Bucs?

If he tails off, sure, I'd have no problem admitting he's tailed off.

I don't wear jerseys.

Seahawks gift wrapped the win for Patriots.
Jim Rome said it best; in that situation 100,000 times out of 100,000 times you give the ball to Lynch.
And if that don't work on 2nd down, two more run attempts with either Lynch or R. Wilson.
Pass, and M. Butler never should have been in the equation

That's hilarious cause he lost the game cause he had to call 2 time outs with the clock already stopped
