That's what I'm saying, we don't know what would've happened but the throw to Kearse wasn't a "must have."

Ball on 40 with 1:06 left with three timeouts is an eternity.

Not a "Must Have" but it was a HUGE Lucky play.

Anyway, all that doesn't matter now... we all know what happened after that.

It's baaketball. Best player always wins in 98% of basketball games. I could beat Jordan....I simply take him out...Legally or illeagally.

Everyone's assuming that Seattle would have absolutely, positively, scored if they had of called a different play.

They might have got stuffed on a run.

They might have fumbled it.

If they got stopped on the run, they were more than likely going to throw after that and not gotten in per incomplete passes...

Seattle lost it. They had couple misses on 3rd down when they were up that would have moved the chains and put them in great field position to run clock and score points. That huge drop pass and the PI on the pats guy tripping the Hawks receiver. Then they really lost it on the goal line not giving it to Marshawn.

NE won it, Seattle almost stole it with a fluke, but for once, the Gambling and Justice G-ds let the team that should have won it, win it. Without that fluke play, Seattle is at 4th and 10 from the 40, a situation immensely favoring NE.

Actually, it's 2 and 10 from the 40.

Obviously anytime a game ends like that with 2 great teams it is pretty much a combination of both.

They didn't have 3 timeouts at that point.

That pass to Kearse increased their equity to win the game by like 45% which is about as big as it gets for a non-scoring play.

If Sea was gonna win the game after the Kearse catch, it would've been a brutal beat for NE. If NE was gonna win (oh wait, they did!) it would be a brutal beat for Sea.

Seattle's defense may be the most overated defense in NFL history. Sure they can look great against Colin Kapernick or Arizona's 4th string quarterback but put them against a good qb and they suck. Manning doesn't count. He is 43

What about Brees and Rodgers? Also Den scored the most pts in NFL history before Sea beat them 43-8

NE just made em look like nobody Vlad. Don't get it twisted my man

Have to disagree with you. The Lane injury was big. The Pats were smart, they picked on Simon the rest of the night. He gave up 3 TDs. Not to mention, they had Earl Thomas' shoulder, Richard Sherman's UCL, and Kam Chancellor's knee to deal with. Their secondary was banged up. Losing Avril didn't help their cause either. I'm not saying they are the 85 Bears, but to say they're overrated because of one game against a hall of fame QB and 4 of 5 DBs either hurt or out is over the top.

Look on the bright side if you think Seattle blew it and you wanted the Pats to lose.

If Gronk wasn't injury prone they probably would've won the last 4 superbowls
