Instead of upping and moving in the short term, why not let him enjoy some time with his grandparents? Grandpa, your son and self could do the various sports and he'll have a great memory of being able to do that with both of you. If by the time he's in 3rd or 4th grade and still shows this type of promise, that would be the time to think about it and not before then.

As others have mentioned, don't hesitate to work with him on some of the "fringe" NCAA sports - who knows, he might earn a free ride. Something that I thanked my parents for making me do was finish the season (not quit in the middle of it) - it will instill the drive that is needed to succeed.

Good luck with your decision.

WTF is wrong with some of you guys? I guess it takes having a kid or kids to understand where I am coming from.

I have 3 kids and still have no clue why you would move to hopefully make youre son a greater athlete. That is retarded. My youngest son, does all the things you mentioned and started them at 3 and now he is 5. I just got him into organized sports and he is fine. Dont be a father that lives through youre kids eyes.

I did not read most of the thread, just the first post, as it was sent to me from another poster. I just really hope this is a joke. If not, you are a joke. A clown. A tool. Take your choice, but I am sure it fits. You are in some serious need of help. I would have responded in more detail and in greater length, but I am packing for a trip to Costa Rica.

See ya weirdo....

Jeeez, Phil, you've been telling everybody you were moving to California for 3 years now. This is the biggest bunch of bullshit I've ever read from you . . . and you know I've read a lot over the years . . . .

Bring your kid to Arkansas. I have a son that turned 2 in April.

We will put them in a kiddie pool out in my front yard and my son will beat the living dog shit outta his ass.

Then back to Canada with your ass and your lil darling superstar.

Sir, I just went through this thread.

Please tell me you are kidding. I have 2 kids and what you speak of this is INSANE, PERIOD.

Otherwise, you need help. This Sir, is NOT RIGHT. Trust me, my kids are just fine, albeit, not pro players but still do well in all other issues. Take a step back, relax.

Not trying to bash..

Some people live such boring lives they try to live vicariously through their kids - the kid is fucking two years old - chances are he won't make even start anything in high school - my advice - you need to get a life - and let your kid live his own life.

Your post is so ridiculous, what did you expect everyone to say? Maybe you had a long sleepless night and posted nonsense on a whim. But if you really believe the things you posted, you scare me.

There is nothing more annoying than a parent who jerks off their own kid as if their kid is the next superstar or supermodel. Some of the best athletes when i was 7 turned out to be 5 foot 4 inch stubby losers.

You want some advice? Be a parent and keep your fatherly pride to yourself.

When your kid is breaking high school scoring records or getting drafted in the first round of the NFL draft come back and toot his horn then.

If I roll him a ball to the left side, he quickly shifts over, gets in a position to hit the ball and one times it right back to my nutsack area.

The first fuckin thing he does is take a massive slap shot that nearly breaks one of my ankles in the living room.

he is now an expert and throwing 'Super-Man' punches at people when they piss him off. I have always fought with him in a playful way but playful fighting is no longer an option because he hits too hard and did some serious damage to some 4-5 year old kids when we went away last summer. At first he was shy to retaliate when other kids would pinch him or push him to the ground, but once I told him to hit them back if they would hit him, he hasn't looked back since and most kids (again much older) know not to mess with him. He's huge and I taught him not to cry for anything.

maybe in 15 years I can bump this thread announcing he got drafted somewhere.

:toast:

:monsters- This place never ceases to amaze me!
He is two years old...."I taught him not to cry for anything!"

Last time I checked it was normal for a 2-fucking-year-old to cry. Once again I say, "you're fucked in the head."
