UFC: He has watched several UFC events with me (I usually host big parties) and although probably not a good thing, he is now an expert and throwing 'Super-Man' punches at people when they piss him off. I have always fought with him in a playful way but playful fighting is no longer an option because he hits too hard and did some serious damage to some 4-5 year old kids when we went away last summer. At first he was shy to retaliate when other kids would pinch him or push him to the ground, but once I told him to hit them back if they would hit him, he hasn't looked back since and most kids (again much older) know not to mess with him. He's huge and I taught him not to cry for anything.

Baby fights....Awesome :pope:

What about miniature golf? My 2yo son shot a 112 last month. Is that good? Does he have a chance for the under 5 tour?

If you are looking for representation, I would be willing to represent him as his agent. I think if we hit a few putt-putt courses in Myrtle Beach, he will be on the PGA tour before his 17th Birthday. Get my contact info from a mod.

buddyboy, jesus fucking christ. Excuse me for being all up in your balls, you seriously need to post more. Possibly the most underated poster of alltime, I've choked on either my food, drink, or smoke probably 5 times from laughing today.

I get the feeling this is not a joke.

:monsters-

Why would it be a joke...don't you have kids of your own? Evidently not many RX Posters do...and evidently not many RX posters are up-to-date with football/baseball youth hotspots in the US. Not very helpful guys.

0.01% just like every other kid in America but doesn't mean I can't move to a better sports environment where he has a chance to do whatever he wants and get a fair chance in a Country that is a lot better in certain sports. All he ever wants to do is play sports...he has all the train and car sets in the world but never wants to play with them. Its always sports, sports, sports with him and like I said in the original post, he's above average in many of them.

I think they are busting your balls b/c of the miniscule chance that your child will be a professional athlete. everyone thinks their kid is great in something. I happen to think my daughter is the cutest little thing around but I know I am biased and have no interest in trying to get her to model or moving to NY or LA to do it, I also think she is smart as hell but again (she told my wife's Doctor "the bilical chord is to feed my baby brother when he is in Mommy's tummy and then, when he pops out of Mommy's tummy you will cut it and tie it and make it a belly button" during an ultrasound, she wasn't even 3 at the time), but again, I am biased.

I know you are serious, but you also need to be realistic. Uprooting your family for this is pretty ridiculous when the kid isn't even 4. Let him be a kid, play some little league sports and see if he actually does have any talent. Moving at 4 or 10 isn't going to matter, he either has the talent or he doesn't. Moving to Santa Ana to try and get him into Mater Dei isn't going to turn a 5'8" unathletic kid into Bo Jackson.

I hear ya. And yes my opinion is somewhat biased but we were planning on moving before we had a baby. I don't think there is anywhere in Canada he can play football at the age of 5 years old (they start with flag) like he could if we moved to say...California. What im trying to get to is that if he chose a different career path, I would have no problem with it at all. However, every two seconds of the day, he brings me outside to play some kind of sport (in the house too) so I don't think we'll have a problem with him playing in little leagues...he probably already could. I know guys are busting my balls and yeah it may be a bit unrealistic but a lot of pro athletes had parents who pushed them hard and helped them succeed with motivation. But like I said, I'll never tell him what to do and what not to do when it comes to playing sports or doing something else.

First off, on the chance you are serious...
#1) He is 2...He is 2...He is 2. Let him just enjoy growing up and playing!
#2) Why do you have to move??? He can play youth soccer, football, hockey and take MMA lessons in Toronto I am sure...of course this is all after he gets past say 3.
#3) If you push your kid into a sport he doesn't like you risk the Todd Marinovich outcome with your kid addicted to coke or something worse.
#4) If he is that good at any of these sports when he reaches high school consider moving then...but if he is D-I the U.S. schools will find him even in Canada. I remember Florida had a QB from Canada a few years ago.
#5) Avoid becoming the classic "little league dad" where you live or die with how your kid does in youth sports. Just let him choose the sports he really likes and really wants to play and teach him more about discipline, teamwork and dedication and working hard and the other important lessons in life. Using sports as part of a healthy relationship with your son is much more important than having dreams of him going pro in something someday.
Good luck!
