2k would have gotten people to volunteer to move. Instead they are taking billion+ dollar hit with possibility of not recovering. Smart.

This isn't Chipotle with an ecoli problem and people just go to QDOBA instead.

There are only so many major airlines. This is a heavily commoditized industry, at worst they cut prices for a few months and they're fine.

No it does not matter as it still does not justify how he was treated. Lastly he had his license reinstated so he is a doctor at the present moment.

Like I said earlier. I feel both parties are at fault.

United acted like morons but a grown ass man should not force the cops to drag him by his hands off an airplane. Once it was clear he was being forced off the plane, just stand up and walk off.

Police should have not gotten involved in a civil matter. If the passenger was causing a disturbance where there was probable cause for them to intervene, then yes, get involved. A passenger who legally boarded, was seated, and then being asked to leave because they were overbooked or whatever isn't a criminal matter but a civil one. I would have walked away before even boarding the plane.

History Making Story as its the one that got me Officially Over The Line of not being able to watch "The News" any more.

Literally Impossible Now, as they replay This Bitch Screaming every 15 Minutes.

Then Follow Up with "debate" about the incident that contains near ZERO proposal of the possibility that if She gets dragged off a plane...

maybe The Drug Addled Bitch did something to cause that reaction.

Mainstream Media cannot propose that line of debate that asks: "Action caused Reaction?"

Even though The Line be:

316 Wailing Primitive Mutant PansyBoy Bitch Provoked it, thus Justified. Should have also had his Ass Beaten. -124299603

No, he should not have to do that. A paying customer should trump the circumstances of an employee flying for free.

I understand he shouldn't have had to leave the airplane. That's where I blame United.

But at the point a cop shows up and is ready to physically remove and arrest you, it's time to be a grown adult and comply with their orders and figure it out later. A cop shouldn't have to drag a 69-year-old man off the airplane kicking and screaming. The guy actually was dragged to the gate then ran back on the airplane. What kind of responsible adult does that?

I'd be pissed off and I'd call the manager over. But then let's say they phone the police to remove me. Are you going to yell and scream and fight the police all the way to the police car?

No.

I think something is a little off with this guy, obviously.

I just love this story from a customer experience/crisis management perspective.

The average customer who has a bad experience with a company tells 9 people about it. For United, it is x 1,000,000. I enjoy watching how this unfolds.

That's why I like the story too.

Victim shaming is pathetic. Use the term 'victim' loosely , couldn't find a more appropriate word. As others have said when law enforcement gets involved it's a good idea to comply . He didn't . BOTH the Chicago Aviation and United have conceded - they acted inappropriately (thank goodness for smart phones and social media , eh? ..:)...). Hopefully this means airlines across the board will reassess . Personally , bumping should be banned . You kidding me? Walking up to the teller and they tell me I've been moved ? How's that for customer service/respect ? These airlines are making billions in gross income . GNF - they Give No Fuxk

back to the doc and for those mocking his past . What if a Rx forum member walked into his office - in distress , seeking aid .

The chap starts asking odd questions about your past /current behaviour .The dialogue ..

doc- ' you gamble sports? Why? It's illegal in our state . The authorities don't know ? Your winnings , are you paying tax on it ? Why not? Have you no shame? ......you have used illegal hallucinating drugs ? Huh? Why ? ........sorry , in good faith I cannot treat you '

rx member - 'what!! I need your help doc !! I'll sue!!'

doc- 'please leave . I'll call authorities . They will drag you out if need be'
