Lol what are you even saying dude? so 5-15 year old kids have money in their piggy bank but 15-22 don't?

Just stop please. Go find something else to do.

Read better, be better.

Their parents do. No 16-year-old kid has money. That’s nowhere close to Nike’s demographic.

That’s what I find so fascinating about this. Why take the risk? We shouldn’t even be talking about it.

Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but as passionate as you may be over this, my observations are most others aren't. I haven't seen it, and not one of my peers at the facilities they work at have either.

You just want it to go away like a lot of people who have a problem with it. Do it now because it WONT go away no matter what. This was 3 summers ago we first started talking about it. Every radio caller was calling in and wanted to talk about this. The local radio hosts where I live were begging people to stop. A lot of people do not want to get involved. I am sure Nike wanted to see where it went and how it all looked at first. Remember for one year everyone was saying and lying that he couldn't play in the NFL. GM's, coaches, people on this forum, etc. But once Eric Reid was then blackballed from the NFL, it was written in stone that shit is real about this. They tried to sweep that shit under the rug. The dude was a former pro bowl safety and 26 years old. He clearly wasn't done. Yet, he had the same exact fate as Kaeperknick. Both who were the first to kneel. It's obvious what the NFL did and that they were wrong.

I just want it to go away cause I love analyzing/following/watching football and would rather hear about that. But I don't really care if it goes away or not that much. Thankfully I live in a time period that I can easily tune out the major news stories of the day if I find them to be frivolous, overstated or sensationalized thanks to the wide array of multi-media options. I found this 1 kinda interesting w/ Nike (probably because it has a business/marketing component to it) but I don't care too much.

And I'm pretty sure I've corrected you on this before, but nobody thinks Kaep isn't good enough to be a backup QB in the NFL. There are really pretty bad backup QB's, I was looking yesterday. Some of these teams are fucked if the starter goes down, similar to last year w/ Houston/GB/Indy and Denver's situation. But he isn't worth the trouble in alienating a ton of your fan base.

The fan base for an NFL team is different demographically than Nike consumers, they can't really afford to side w/ kaep the way that Nike probably can.

Well its part of it but not all of it.
Nikes demo is far reaching.

6 years olds cant afford barbie dolls but that is their target audience.
Its the kids job to talk mommy into putting the doll in the shopping basket.

Not passionate at all. I’ll buy Nike still. Don’t care.

Do you understand what target audience means?

They do not care who has the money as long as someone buys it and a lot of it. They are targeting 15-22 kids who play sports mostly. Active kids. So those parents obviously will buy it for their kids who play sports.

Why do you just argue over nothing all of the time? My God you are a fucking moron. Another example demonstrated.

Ohhh let me just argue that the parents are the target audience lol because the kids don't have any money. Lol you are wrong and you are a fucking moron. Take your meaningless arguments elsewhere.

Yeah disagree. Advertising a doll and a pair of shoes is much different. Young kids don’t care about their shoes but mom and dad do. Mom and dad don’t care about a doll but the kid does.

Young kids don't care about their shoes?!!!! Are you freaking out of your mind? You really need to get out more often. My son saved every dime he had when he was a teenager for some Air Jordans. That comment is insane. The hell they don't care.

kids want to wear what the mvps wear, simple as that. tom brady still has the #4 jersey sold in the nfl. kids want to wear what the guy on the field is wearing. Kaepernick isnt on the field. i dont think kids say I want nike. they say i want what Lebron wears. so if they get some players on board then sure, but Kaepernick cleats for kids......just dont see that really moving without a Beckham or someone to help that out.

Who’s playing more sports, 15-22 year olds or 5-15 year olds? I’d tell you a 5 year old plays all sports all year while a 20 year old may be playing and if so, may be only playing 1-2 sports if that.

Please drop the personal insults. We’re all having a solid discussion here. Don’t drag me into your sewer please.

But you are very much missing the point anyway.
Just because kids dont have money does not mean they are not a target audience.

Captain Crunch dont care that 5 year old Billy is not going to spend his $5 allowance on a box of cereal but thats exactly who Captain Crunch is targeting.

Mcdonalds is targeting happy meals to kids fully knowing they wont be paying for them.

You dont have to have money to be a target demo

Some don’t, some do. It’s like this topic, some care, some don’t.

Agree but the pool at 5-15 or 25 and older is much larger. That’s my point.
