People that take even money on Black Jack. The one time they have an edge on the house and they give it back.
I'll do it if I'm counting (hi/lo) and the true count is +1.4 or higher... :)

Any reference for the +1.4 true count? Every analysis I've ever seen says +3 is close to break even depending on rules, and +4 is player advantage.

I say always take insurance every time it's offered. If you can spread big, taking insurance with red chips costs pennies, but buys lots of cover for when you want insurance while betting blacks. And if there's too much heat to spread big enough, just don't even bother to sit down. Except for El Cortez, that game is just too easy to pass up no matter how sweaty they are

It always bothers me to see someone sitting at a machine that has a player advantage, but the person is too stupid to know that game is any better than any other. What's even worse is seeing a line of people waiting to pounce as soon as the fool gets up

I stand corrected, it is +3... not sure where I got the 1.4 from...

I see a lot more people surrendering in other countries. In Central and South America it seems far more common.

He's a total moron.

My brother has been a blackjack dealer for years......sees some surrender players ......just a few.

What point are you even making?

$30 a hand we'll say...

if you surrender instead of hit, you will save around 1 dollar per hand over the long run.

when someone surrenders at the table i play i get up immediately before i play another hand.

no way i surround myself with born losers at my table

that has no mathematical value

i would rather have a rookie kid stay at 12 against dealers 10 the someone surrender

Ahh I see your bother's anecdotal evidence trumps the basic math? Are you retarded?

Again....it's 0.07.... Don't act like its some genius play to surrender.....next time you visit a casino.....ask the floor or the dealer about your chart there.
