Are you guys disagreeing with what I said re: he could've gotten a better deal if he did what I said? Find that hard to believe

Well for 1 I don't know Angry personally and didn't bring him into the league.

Chop for someone so objective you sure stuck your line in the sand and stuck with it on this one.

Next year can I bring my posse into the league and just make deals I have 55% the best of but they are close enough no one can complain too much? Would be pretty sick

Im very objective.
Thats why im able to agree with you 90% of the time and still be able to disagree with you the other 10%.

I think this is the first time I can remember ever not agreeing with you on a major issue.

I put up the same $500 for this league you did.

I dont know Dude or the other guy any more then you.

If I would have thought this trade was evil I would have said it.

I dont get the 0-4 vs the 3-1.
I dont get the bring him into the league thing.

I think every trade should be judged blindly regardless of who traded with who.

If you think the definition of sticking my head in the sand is not agreeing with you 100% of the time I guess there is nothing I can do about that.

The next time you post about something important that I agree with I will gladly tell everyone I agree.

I handle each instance on an individual basis.

One instance has no bearing on the next instance.

Ask Willie I have both agreed strongly and disagreed strongly with him in the past.

it's fine - we can put an end to it.
some people think it isn't fair - i get it, it has a stud RB in it - but trades are all about situations.
Walter White had a stud RB, but was 0-4, so what is the point - he got a terrific receiver and a Flex player. I am now left with very sketchy WRs, but decided to take the risk and pray McCoy doesnt get hurt. you can all come laugh when he blows his knee out in 3 weeks.

I will let you vent/complain - that's fine... just doesnt make sense when your arguments are based on "he is 0-4" and "he could have gotten more" when he has been on the trading block for a week.

PS - Walter White plays you this week. So be happy you don't need to face the top RB and that i didn't give him any value. easy win for you this week

Vent/complain? Gimme a break. I tihnk because it is the internet and I'm posting pretty rapidly it seems like I might be angry about this, don't worry I am totally fine and could careless.

I do agree McCoy probably goes down at some point this year (he seems to have something happen every week and 1 of these weeks he isn't gonna getup, question is for how long?"

I have no issue with you but some of your comments "PatsFan complaining" really Grog found it a bit much too? Is he complaining? Cmon we're just kinda surprised McCoy (who would go top 3 if we redrafted right now) got dealt like that. Then you say stuff like Colston/Morris ha, it's just a weak way of discourse.

Also WW will still beat me this week. My 2 best RBs are on bye...

I personally think your team is stacked now and if you are going to stack a team with a McCoy trade you should think long and hard about trying to get the most value.

I also agree with chop that people don't have all day to get on a conference call and trade. I just think the worst team dealing 1 of the best players should take a little more due diligence but I digress.

So if he would have agreed to your Colston, Moreno trade would you have been pissed if someone would have told him he could have got more if he held a conference call with the rest of the league?

Also I have Gio at 10-1 with my bookie that I've paid 3x since he has last paid me so hopefully he wins ROY but I think once Lacy gets back he should take it if he can stay healthy.

"Gimme a break, I don't mean to pull rank here but this league constitutes < 1% of my sports betting/fantasy action a week." - thanks for the great quote

500 dollar league, 16 weeks, equates to 31 bucks a week.

So you bet 3000 a week huh? Didn't realize we were playing with such a baller, who somehow has time to complain about a trade - sorry to bother you
I bet your dad could beat up my dad too.... sigh, just not my day today

I don't think I offered Moreno/Colston for McCoy, I think I offered more but I could be wrong. I've said that in this thread 3-4x

If I was the 1 getting McCoy I wouldn't care but I do think in terms of protocol if I was 0-4 I'd be cognizant o what i was doing dealing a player like McCoy in Chips offense.

Well I said I wasn't whining/angry like 5 times and you didn't listen so I just wanted to let you it wasn't about the $ but more principal of the matter.

I'm a pretty reasonable dude but you kinda just run with these ideas like "oh he is ranting/whining" with your passive/aggressive act and it is a little annoying.

Look I'm happy you got McCoy, I hope he goes 2000-20 and lets just enjoy the rest of the league. I'm really not trying to argue wih you and I legitimately have a lot of respect for chop so I'm not trying to argue with him either.

However to say "hit me back with an offer on McCoy" and get no offer and he just gets dealt made me want to post.

WalterWhite, in the future if you are dealing shady just take 5 mins to post what I said, let the offers comein and I think > 50% of the time you will get a better offer than the best one you've already gotten.

Regardless. Even if you threw in Bell I would still rate dudes offer over yours.

We are literally talking about a possible #1 overall WR in all of fantasy football and possibly a top 5(going forward)fantasy back for a throw in receiver and McCoy.

And if I had the 3rd pick of the draft and McCoy was on the board I would not draft him.

look at your first 2 posts PatsFan - "Clown Shit" etc... - it was whiny, and complainy.
McCoy was available for a week - you made an offer, he liked other ones better, and then all of a sudden an 0-4 team shouldnt trade a good guy, it ruins leagues, he is my friend, you have tons of money, let's bet -300 on my random guys vs yours

you made your case, as Chop said, it is objective - and it is. When you traded Nicks for Richardson - i didn't come on here and ask why you didn't offer Nicks up to anyone else to counter, or ask why Willie, who was 0-3, was making trades

I think we're done debating but how do you figure Welker is close to the possible #1 WR? I don't think I even have him top 7-8 rest of the year in this league. I might have him out of the top 10 but I'd have to check

1. I apologized for the clown shit comment like 4 pages ago.
2. I don't have tons of money...I wish I did though. I was just making the point you are overrating my devotion to this matter a bit.
3. Unfortunately for willie and I we both got each others headaches in that deal. Atleast his is still starting though (guess DRich isn't starting this week and its the 1 week he could go off, go figure)

dude I have no problem with you but you get really passive/aggressive. I think you and I are the main reasons this league got running this year (Props to willie/hache as well on that) so lets not argue about stupid shit. I was just a little surprised to see McCoy dealt like that but it is what it is. GL rest of the season (I know I'll need it)

If you give me +200 I would be willing to bet the trade works out more in favor of the 0-4 team then it does the 3-1 team.

that can't totally be quantified because if Kembrell is just replacement level he could go other players over him. Not trying to copout but it really can't.

Decent chance with Amendola/Gronk due back (if those fools can stay healthy) that Kembrell is just replacement level and he can find someone better to play than him.

I know for a fact that Welker is going to destroy the throw-in receivers numbers.
I dont know for a fact that McCoy will destroy Bernards numbers.

As a matter of fact I have those 2 rated really close going forward as does many other people. That opinion is not exclusive to me.

And if McCoy does happen to have a better rest of the season then Bernard I think the differential between Welker and the throw in receiver will be enough to offset it.

This trade is pretty close to dead even.

If an expert graded this trade it would probably be somewhere around 53/47 in favor of Dude.
Hardly anything to get upset about.

And if that happens that means that McCoy was traded straight up for 2 very high quality fantasy players.

If he does become a replacement player(which he probably will) this means he got 2 players that are top 5 and 10 ten respectively at there positions for one injury prone Top 3 player.

The more I think about this trade the more I think the 0-4 team got the better end of the deal.

Hey everyone, I'm Walter White in the league, Alex in real life.

First, thanks for letting me join y'all this year. I've been looking for a high stakes league to join, and when thedude24 let me know there was a spot open, I got a nice warm feeling in my pants over the thought of playing with people taking a league seriously and for high reward. I wasn't originally a part of this board because I don't do sports betting outside of fantasy, but I was alerted to the fact that my trade was being viewed as "clown shit". So, here I am defending my honor haha.

First, to everyone, I can assure you there's no collusion between thedude24 and myself. It's laughable to think that. If that were the case, I did a pretty poor job of it then judging by my 0-4 start.

PatsFan1283: I did appreciate your offer for McCoy. But when I compared it to others, and I can promise you that you weren’t the only one that sent me anything, it was the worst proposal:

Colston – Meh, not huge on him. Puts up decent numbers but Brees likes to spread it around. Plus I have Sproles on a different team and I don’t like rooting against my own players in different leagues.
Moreno – Yes, please give me a RB in a 3 back time share with one of the best passing offenses in the league with the Terminator as their QB. Plus, he's injury prone and once Ball gets his act together, his carries will drop.
Bell – I would LOVE to take a busted RB that has a foot injury on a broken team with a broken offensive line playing in a division that has good defenses he has to deal with. Plus, his week 14-16 matchups are good against the run. If by any chance I get into the playoffs, I don’t like the matchups I face.

So I fail to see how that offer helps me with getting more WR depth and still gives me a decent RB that I can rely on every week.

To your point about me "not bothering to counter": Honestly, the only person I would have wanted was Graham and that doesn’t help my WR position. Morris doesn't do anything for me, and Johnson is a train wreck waiting to happen. Maybe if your bench wasn’t full of scrub RB's and had some WR depth to help me out, I would have considered countering. But you didn’t have anything that I wanted. Supply and demand, you had no supply, so I had no demand.

To your point about me "not opening the bidding": The beautiful thing about the trading block is that everyone in the league knows when someone is put on there. I believe if you go back far enough you will see that I added McCoy on the 23rd at 3:14 PM. Which is over a week ago. Hopefully you had the chance to log in and see that then. If not, can’t help that you didn’t see it. I didn't realize that I was expected to announce my every move for a trade to everyone. I'll make sure to outline my strategy for all roster moves in the future.

My intent was not to start any drama over this trade, nor is this post intended on starting anything either. But, calling something "clown shit" and insinuating that I and others have been less than fair in the league is insulting.

TheDude24 had pieces that I wanted, and we were able to work something out. The trade makes us both better, I get some help at WR and a RB that will eventually be a reliable RB2 later on in the season. TheDude24 gets a top 3 RB that's currently healthy, but that could change, and a WR that should get more room to run when the main weapons of NE come back. Plus, he seems to be getting on the same page as Brady and has put up good numbers the last few weeks. Pretty fair deal, IMO.

welcome, hope you visit a little more often

good luck with the rest of your season

The more I think about this trade the more I think the 0-4 team got the better end of the deal.

I like Gio but he has some issues going forward.

I like Welker, he is like family to me (the #83 in my name comes from him I'm pretty sure? can't remember its been so long)

However I think you are overrating both of them a little and I'd be willing to bet it.

I do not have Welker top 5 WRs going forward. Gio could be top 10 RBs that position is so volatile right now who knows...

Interested in a Welker won't be top 5 WRs going forward bet if you want. Or Welker vs guys I name I like over him (these will mostly be big black dudes)

One last thing.

First off I think this makes Dudes team awesome.

This trade makes Dude the clear favorite to win the league.
Nobody has 3 RB's like him in this league.
Its not even close.

With all that being said you cant judge the fairness of a trade based on things like that.

The 0-4 team has to do what he thinks makes HIS team better.

Yes, I would have rather this trade not happened.

But I have to be objective about it and look at the intent of both people making the trade.

If I dont find anything evil or collusive I have to put away my personal feelings aside.

This trade will make it much more difficult for me to win the league but that cant be the basis for deciding if a trade is fair or not.
