Yes, I'm quite reasonable. And quite analytical. I did vet the offers that were made to me. Didn't realize I needed to publicly state every offer made and my thought process behind them.
If the rules of the league were "If your team doesn't play up to its potential on paper and you go 0-4 and have to ask permission to trade your players", then I would have done so.
How does my record matter? It doesn't. If a 2-2 or 3-1 team was involved, would you still care as much? My guess is no. If I didn't know thedude, would you still care as much? Meh. Maybe. I'm not trying to speak for you. Not my place. And not your place to try and speak for me or take pot shots at my integrity. Which you have done and I've tried to kindly overlooked due to me frankly not giving a shit about personal attacks from some rando behind a keyboard. But, when you're going to persist that I was shady, or that thedude only brought me in to poach players during the season and start to demean his integrity, that gets my dander up.
I'm 0-4 because Bowe has fantasy kryptonite as his QB and Wallace has an OC that wants to use him as a 100yd sprinter and not much more. Add to that CJ underperforming, and that's why I'm 0-4. If they have played up to their potential, I'd be 2-2 at a minimum, pretty confident I'd be at 3-1. I've had a couple close losses.
And who cares if thedude brought me in? I can assure you that if we were doing something (which I can absolutely promise you we are not and will not), we would have done a much better job and I wouldn't be 0-4.
I put McCoy up on the trading block. You had time to put a good offer forward. If you wanted him, why didn't you offer me Morris and whatever else in the beginning? I still would have said no because I don't like Morris, but that's besides the point. Graham? Ya, he's a stud. Doesn't my WR situation. I like Fleener/H Miller. Is Graham better? Duh. But I wasn't looking for TE improvements. I wanted an upgrade at WR and a potential stud at RB.
Regardless, you want a potential top 3 talent, don't give a lowball offer. I know what he's worth. If you wanted him badly, you would have put up a better offer than a WR2/borderline WR1 and a RB2 and RB4.
Grog and I haggled for at least a week prior to me putting McCoy on the market but we couldn't get to something that I felt had value worth McCoy. I wanted more than Marshall and Miller. Marshall has a tough schedule during playoffs (if I were to make it, gotta think positive), and Miller right now is still in a timeshare that isn't any better than Gio's. Additonally, Marshall is really the only WR on that team that's a legit threat. Please point out a starting WR on DEN that isn't a quality talent. I think Gio has more upside. I view Welker > Marshall and Gio > Miller. So when the deal worked, I struck while the iron was hot. I do apologize we couldn't work something out, Grog. Best of luck to you the rest of the year
Does this give thedude 3 good RB's? Ya. But one is an injury risk and one is now on a team starting a rookie QB with two banged up receivers. And a guard who has been hurt this year. I wonder if teams are going to stack the box against TB now...my guess is yes. Plus, as it's been said, his WR's aren't awesome now. And what happens if/when McCoy goes down? He's SOL.
I'm exhausted trying to pick apart the different tangents that this has gone on...I can't defend every point that's been made or every attack that's been made on my integrity. I'm, too, getting a tumor from this. So I'm considering this matter closed and I think we should all move on.
Additonally, your comment about betting Welker vs "big black guys" is juvenile and tacky. Use a person's name instead of referring to people by their race.
I'm taking any and all offers for Dwayne Bowe. Someone please take him off my hands for me.
