Also can I'd take 7-8 WRs over Welker can I bet them vs him going forward?

And what would that prove regarding this bet?

Anything besides Welker/Bernerd vs Colston/Moreno completely changes the intent of the bet in the first place.

"nobody else even got to offer" - so all the offers he got over the last week were non-existant?

I didn't realize in fantasy football that before a trade is accepted that you need to post it and let people counter offer - good to know, b/c nobody in any of my leagues follows that rule

and the issue is an 0-4 team, struggling to win, despite having one good player, wanted to try and make their team better with 2 good players.... what a stupid concept that is. surprised people in real life sports do this

the +300 is the point.
you want 3 to 1 odds that the guys you offered will score more than the guys i gave..... then you are proving your own point

I never said COston/Moreno were better than them 2, I just said I'd bet it at +300 because it isn't as much of a laugher/lock as you guys think.

The Welker thing would just prove you are nuts regarding his value in a non-ppr league, thats it really.

I would not have traded McCoy, but the trade is not horrible.

Welker is a stud, I think Thompkins will not produce like he did last week very often and Bernard has some upside

stated differently, I've seen worse

Yea Pats.
People are busy in life.
I have never in my life gotten an offer from someone that I was willing to accept then told the person making the offer "wait! let me tell the rest of the league your offer and see if I can find someone else to beat it".

Never done that in my life.

We are busy people. All of us.

Normally its TeamA make offer Team B accepts or rejects offer.

Every once in a while Team A will juice it up a little bit after the first offer is rejected but I have never been in a league where someone makes an offer then the other person make conference call with the rest of the league to see if someone can beat it.

Everyone is busy and with these Thursday night games and bye weeks time is of the essence.

If you don't think he could've done more to get full value, i.e shouting it out he is dealing mccoy then that is fine, just seems obvious he could.

I really don't have too much more to say about this. Everyone kinda took the Moreno/Colston thing and ran with it when that had absoutely nothing to do with my original point.

My point is 0-4 teams dealing top 3 guys can messup leagues, this has been the case in FF since the beginning of time. I'm happy you got McCoy enjoy him.

"Colston/Morris ha" means we are betting Colston/Morris vs Gio/Welker rest of year right?

-300 is reserved for things like Clayton Kershaw vs the Astros 5th starter.

Not for something you feel so adamant about that would make you rant and rave for 3 pages on a message board.

I totally agree with all of this. I know I sure as hell don't have time to negotiate a deal like I would want to negotiate the price on a house or car.

We are talking 0-4 team dealing McCoy and it rapidly effecting the league. In a $500 league I think the 0-4 guy atleast has a responsibility to make sure he gets the most possible for a McCoy in that spot since it is going to effect everyone else. If others don't that is fine...

Not many have weighed in but Grog even said he wasn't thrilled about it.

Well you did say you would give him a full dollar instead of 75 cents on the dollar.

If you are so confident that you could have beat the offer that was given to him can you tell us what your counter offer would have been?

Anything without Graham in it would have been hard to beat without destroying your team.

1) So 0-4 teams are no longer able to trade? is that what we are deciding? if so, i will lock out trades for teams with bad records to avoid obvious collusion

7-6 made the playoffs last year in this league, FYI - so if you think you should just give up your season and not try and trade, that's your opinion.

2) You didn't offer Colston and Morris - so why are you comparing them? If i offered you McCoy right now for Morris and Colston, you would take it then?

That isn't what I posted about for 3 pages on a message board and really has nothing to do with it, but yeah....

The point is he could've gotten >>>>> what he got had he made 1 post on the message board but he doesn't know what he is doing and it was greatly to thedude (the person who brought him into the leagues) benefit

i also find it weird that "an 0-4 guy trading McCoy" is what ruins leagues.
yet a ton of people, including you, tried to trade for him.
why didn't you come out on the message board when he posted and say "Hey, this ruins leagues" instead of trying to get him for Moreno and Colston? - if people complained about it if he accepted that trade, what would have been your response?

You just said "Colston/Morris ha" so I'm guessing you aren't dealing for them.

1. I never said 0-4 teams can't trade cmon man.

2. I never said he shouldn't try to deal. I just said if he took 5 mins to do what I said he would've got a better offer. Maybe in future leagues that bit of negotiating advice when he is 0-4 again will help him.

Honestly I don't even think I offered Moreno/Colston for McCoy but I don't remember. I think I offered more? I could be wrong though.

I think I offered L Bell in it too or something.

Yeah it isn't the worst trade. It is 75 cents on the dollar for a top 3 pick.

I'm just pointing out an 0-4 team dealing McCoy to the person who brought him into the league could have been done better, atleast be aware of that.

But now I'm told I'm "ranting" and "whining"

Gimme a break, I don't mean to pull rank here but this league constitutes < 1% of my sports betting/fantasy action a week.

Just logically spekaing it could've been done better. I wouldn't have typed as much but I felt like some of the responses were very, very, flimsy.

Well for 1 I don't know Angry personally and didn't bring him into the league.

Chop for someone so objective you sure stuck your line in the sand and stuck with it on this one.

Next year can I bring my posse into the league and just make deals I have 55% the best of but they are close enough no one can complain too much? Would be pretty sick

Only problem is what you said he should have done would take a lot more then 5 mins.
In fantasy land all of us are sitting behind our computers 24 hours a day waiting for the big conference call bidding/trade process.
This is not reality.

In this and any other league people do not have time to do what you say only takes 5 mins.

To fully do what you say it can take as long as a week.

With bye's and Thursday game people dont have time to page all 12 members trying to squeeze out every ounce of trade value on a player.

it's fine - we can put an end to it.
some people think it isn't fair - i get it, it has a stud RB in it - but trades are all about situations.
Walter White had a stud RB, but was 0-4, so what is the point - he got a terrific receiver and a Flex player. I am now left with very sketchy WRs, but decided to take the risk and pray McCoy doesnt get hurt. you can all come laugh when he blows his knee out in 3 weeks.

I will let you vent/complain - that's fine... just doesnt make sense when your arguments are based on "he is 0-4" and "he could have gotten more" when he has been on the trading block for a week.

PS - Walter White plays you this week. So be happy you don't need to face the top RB and that i didn't give him any value. easy win for you this week
