Bucs, something ain't right.

The rumor about $500K doesn't make sense either. Ken/others acted as if money was nothing to him. While $500K is nothing to sneeze at, it sure as shit ain't worth offing yourself and a loved one

Couldn't agree more BB..

I'm sorry I'm having a very hard time believing the double suicide story.

I guess the circumstances of this keeps me a little skeptical. The statement regarding Tuesday's service says " The Family will be receiving friends following the service ..... ". I'm not sure what exactly this means except does it means only Family will actually be attending the service ?

mel gibson would be proud of some of you guys, hopefully someone from that area will be able to attend the funeral and say there goodbyes and put this to rest for everyone on the boards who keep coming up with crazy scenarios

kermit it means there will be a social gathering after the funeral for friends to express their sympathy to the family, probably have some type of food served etc. i dont know any other way to describe other than an after hrs (dont mean any negative by this just trying to describe it)

well i hope my post wasnt taken wrong.....i believe TonyM 100%.....from everything i know of him in all the years i worked over there, he is not the type to make something like this up for anything.....i just meant it was more weird stuff to an already weird and unbelievably sad story.....

I also dont put any merit in that wager having anything to do with it...that is alot of money, but he wouldnt make a wager that upon losing would result in him and his wife having to leave their family....just not him.....

he was generous to a fault....no matter the reason, if u needed an advance on your pay (back in the neteller days) it would be in your acct within 5 minutes of asking him.......later at eog, if u needed it, the check was in the mail the next day.......that is another reason that this suicide is so shocking to me, because it appears to be a selfish thing, and he was NOT THAT WAY, nor was Jackie.....

To be honest, what im thinking is far worse than what Tony posted, so in a way, i hope that is all there is to it......

And if its something worse, and thatis what they want the public to "know" then i think that is there right as the family....nothing they could tell me would change my opinion of them, as man can only judge others by how they treated him, and i know how they treated me.....

I agree , My best friend took his own life days after his 20th birthday. I never understood why. Something that still bugs me to this day. I would never wish that upon anyone's family

Wow, I am just shocked beyond belief!

I have heard what went on & what happened.
My sincere & deepest condolences to everyone!

I enjoyed working with & having business discussions with Ken (Shrink) over the past couple of years! This is truly a sad day!

I want to wish all the staff here at EOG my support & condolences as well.
If there is any thing I can do to be of any kind of help please let me know!

God Bless & let's remember all the great things that Shrink was able to bring to all of us at the forums he created. He was a true Leader in this world!!!

Deepest Regards,

If nobody but the immediate family members can attest to Ken and his Wife's death, a part of me will always be skeptical. A suicide always has to be investigated by the police for obvious reasons. One of my best friend's wife recently commited suicide and of course the police were immediately on the scene. A double suicide just seems very strange to me still.

That could seem to be true by how it affects everyone else but you have to keep in mind that in most suicide cases something has got this person so messed up in the head that they aren't thinking rationally and probably think they are helping their loved ones more than hurting them by committing this act.God Bless the family,I know this is tough on them.

Damn, what bad news. Ken helped me a couple of years ago with an issue that I will forever be indebted to him. Crazy Crazy. RIP, Ken and Scarlett. LT

I've called the Chesapeake PD, and they are completely close-lipped with regard to the investigation. This is not usually the case when I contact agencies trying to get information, even of such a sensitive nature. I will call a couple of news sources I know in the region (Maryland).

However, suicide by carbon monoxide gas is extremely difficult to fake. If this were a murder, then the killer would have to gas both of them in their sleep. Forensics has progressed to the point where investigators can easily determine if the victims/suiciders actually killed themselves, or if the act was done without the victims' consent or even knowledge. This is definitely not a route a contract killer would take.

I am **reasonably sure** that it was mutual suicide, but an amalgamation of all accounts leaves me puzzled to the reason.

Just to clarify, the hometown PD must investigate suspicious deaths, even if the people are out of town when it happens, that is why I'm starting with them.

At least someone here did some due diligence. Newspaper had nobody working there and the police gave me no info either. Very weird.

I dont want to come across as a dick but what makes you think its any of your business or obligation to be making phone calls?

Unless he owed you money or had any business dealing with you its not your place to be involved. Its sad and unfortunate that he was apparently so desperate to take his own life. We are not entitled to any details that arent released by the family.

Lets show a little respect for his family and friends.
