I can tell you why so many people who aren't Gator fans don't like him -- one of the reasons, at least. He comes across as disingenuous. He wears his religion on his sleeve (well, more accurately, on his eyeblack stickers) then makes a show out of calling attention to himself with his fist-pumping and screaming, and taunting opponents. It's very, very hard for me to like a player like that.

That's not at all the case. He does that little Gator chomp thing at opponents frequently. Got called for an unsportsmanlike penalty in the last minute or so of the game tonight for doing it, in fact.

He is 21 years old and him and Nic Harris were jawing all night. Obviously, OU made some comments before the game to the media and even during pre-game warmups. If you are going to knock a guy for doing a Gator chomp towards an opponent, well, that's up to you. But, seriously, that is probably the worst thing he has ever done....

I just think it has a lot to do with his being Christian. If he were Jewish, trust me, the love in Gville would not be the same. If you think so, than my guess is you have not spent much time outside of the Pacific NW.

Someone has never been to Gainesville. A lot of Jewish people attend Florida. Heck, there is a huge Jewish center right across the street from the Swamp.

I don't like trash-talking and taunting from any player. Coming from thugs it's to be expected, though. From a player who holds himself up to be some kind of moral role-model -- and Tebow does portray himself that way, and has certainly let the U of F athletic PR department run with that image -- it's worse. Then it's not only poor sportsmanship and low class, it's hypocritical.
