I also wouldn't call the first sophomore to win the heisman, a winner of 2 national championships in 3 years, and the best leader in college football a "overhyped player with talents easy to replace". You might want to reexamine how you define talent.

OK, homer. It's good to know you're not joining in the overhyping.

It's a shame Chris Leak couldn't have contributed anything to that first national championship.

Homer or not, if you can't respect what the kid has accomplished as an athlete and a person, you need to grow up. If you watch the games, the first players to congratulate him are the opponents who talk trash leading up to the game (See Nic Harris). That is respect for his ability. Something you are unable to comprehend.

Good luck in Austin next year and I hope to see your team in Pasadena.

I think you're insane. The first time I ever saw Tebow carry the ball, I knew he would win a Heisman. Everyone else did, too. There is no replacing Tebow. Period.
So you are the prophet and tebow is the messenger. Who is going to win the 5th race at Keenland today. Are you kidding? It must be an awful burden for you two to communicate with the rest of us. Why were all the cameras on him every where he went on his "missions". A messenger with a camera. Next thing you know he will be ministiring on TV after his one year stint in the NFL as a bench warmer. But don't pay any attention to me I am insane. I have delusions and you have revelations. I guess that is the difference.

I think he could have gone on the missionary trips without the cameras. That is my point. He could have said no. That is my point. "Deserves has nothin to do with it" - that is my point.

The first paragraph I agree with to an extent in terms of Tebow not being remembered as an all-time great QB, but player, yes.

The second I don't agree with at all. He's an Evangelical and thus feels it's his *personal responsibility* to spread the Gospel, but he doesn't taunt the opposition. His pumping and screaming is always directed at his own teammates, the guy's just passionate is all.

If he does not taunt like you say, what was the unsportsmanlike penalty at the end of the game for???:ohno:

And about fox "not"kissing his ass....one quote...."Anybody that has spent 5 mins with Tebow...their life is better because of it." To put it in perspective. Maybe you could say that about the Dali Lama but Tebow...come on. For the that matter...it was the worst announcing in a long time. Absolutley horrible.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the only cameras on his mission trips have been home videos. And if ESPN really went with him, why do you care? You say that nobody knows Tim Tebow, you only know what the media presents to us about him. Then you criticize his motives, like you know what's in his heart. Sounds like you are the one claiming to have revelations.

Get over it. OU lost. They knew what Tebow was gonna do, and they still couldn't stop him. Give credit where credit is due.

I just heard that Tebow was the hero pilot of the plane that went down in the Hudson River. He single-handidly rescued all of the passengers..:103631605

Actually he was just flying by solo looking for a phone booth to change clothes in. He was however the hero as he walked on the water (albeit semi frozen water) to save each individual separately so that they could all spend five minutes with him. They all agreed that they were much better for it.
