Trace Adams Monday Play with Analysis

For Monday night in the NFL, siding with the home favorite New Orleans Saints against the Philadelphia Eagles. At the time I release this selection, the Saints are listed as the -3 point favorites.

Not too many more intimidating places to play on a Monday night than the Superdome, as the Saints fans get quite passionate about their team under the Monday night lights, regardless of their record.

New Orleans is playing their first home game since an October 7th win and cover against the Chargers, as New Orleans has covered 10 of their last 12 games played at home dating back to last season. This is Joe Vitt's first home game as head coach on the "interim" basis, and I expect it to be a winning home debut for him.

Philadelphia is a team that has lost their way to say the least. Andy Reid is likely a goner at the end of this season unless the Eagles go on a serious winning streak, but I don't trust Michael Vick at all in this spot. One miscue tends to get magnified in a place like the Superdome, and I think we all know that Vick is surely capable of at least one mistake if not more.

The Birds are 1-5-1 against the spread this year, and they are saddled with a 3 game losing streak that has seen them get rid of their defensive coordinator along the way. Keep in mind that last week Atlanta scored on their first 6 possessions against the "new" Eagles defense.

Drew Brees has won 11 straight November games, and 13 of their last 14 in the month of November. At 2-5 on the year, there really is no rope left for the Saints to dangle from....it is truly now-or-never.

Going to side with the host minus the short points to take care of business by at least a touchdown.

I was thinking about this last night and I'm not really liking using a Labby fading this guy, just because he can get streaky. A streaky capper is never a good thing when using a Labby. I think I want to try fading him based on his 'STAR' amounts. He uses large amounts to impress people but basically his plays are 1,2,3 and 4 unit plays. On occasion, like last night he will come with something bigger than that.

I figured I'd change it up and start this today because stopping the Labby right now means we still made a profit since the start on Oct. 10.

For the new system I'll still keep a record using a $1,000 example bankroll. Each unit will be 1% of the bankroll which means the highest bet we will ever have for just one play would be around 5% or 6% of the bankroll, max, those seem rare. His usual top play would be a 4 unit/4% bet.

Also switching to this from a Labby means if he does come with more than 1 play on a day we can fade both, no problem. Before, on a Saturday, he had 2 plays going off around the same time so only the top play was a fade.

We'll see how it goes. @)

So since his play today is a 1000♦ that would mean a 2 unit/2% fade wager. With an example bankroll of $1,000 that means the play would be the Eagles to win $20 or 2% of the bankroll. Bigger bankrolls mean bigger wagers, you know the drill.

500♦ = 1 Unit

1,000♦ = 2 Units

1,500♦ = 3 Units

2,000♦ = 4 Units

... and so on. I believe 3,000♦ is the biggest play he's ever had and that was last night.

Pimp is it to win 2% of the bankroll ? For example laying 22 to win 20 or is it risking 2% laying 20 to win 18

For the example I am going 22 to win 20.

Or in the case of today where the juice is -120, 24 to win 20.

For this new fading system, if the bankroll happens to dip below the starting $1,000, all future bet percentages will still be based on the original starting bankroll of $1,000.

If the bankroll rises above the $1,000 starting point, betting percentages will be adjusted at $50 increments. For example, if the bankroll sits at $1,045 a 1 unit/1% bet would still be $10. But if the bankroll was at say $1,052, the a 1 unit/1% bet would now be $10.5.

Trace Adams Tuesday Plays with Analysis

Tuesday's Selection ...

For Tuesday night in college football, Top-Rated 1000♦ selection is the Toledo Rockets as the home favorite against the visiting Ball State Cardinals. As of 8:30 am eastern, the Rockets are listed as the 6 1/2-point fave.

Make no mistake, Ball State is going to be hanging around in this game, and we might have to sweat this one a little, but in the end the Toledo Rockets find a way to get both the straight up win and the against the spread cover for us.

Ball State has been a profitable play as the road underdog, as the Cardinals have covered both in that role this season - covering at Clemson and winning outright at Indiana - to put them at 16-4 against the spread as the road underdog the past 4 seasons! Heady stuff indeed, but this is Toledo's year my friends.

The Rockets have taken off under first year coach Matt Campbell, winning their last 8 games after opening the season with a near-upset of Arizona back on September 1st in overtime against the Wildcats.

Toledo has also covered 3 of their 4 homes games this season, and a win tonight puts them in the driver's seat as the West Division rep in the MAC title game to come the end of November.

The Rockets have bested the Cardinals in each of the last 3 meetings, while covering in 2 of those 3. The favorite has been able to cover 4 of the last 5 series showdowns as well.

Going to side with the hosts to roll to win #9 in a row as they make it 4 straight series wins over the Redbirds at the Glass Bowl this Tuesday night.

Pay-After-You-Win - 500* Denver Nuggets

There is a reason an 0-3 team is laying double-digits to another 0-3 team, and I think tonight you are going to find out just why the 0-3 Nuggets are laying 10-points or so to the 0-3 Detroit Pistons.

This is Denver's first home game of the year after opening with losses at Philadelphia, Orlando, and Miami. Expect them to be ready to take out some frustration on the 0-3 Pistons who did just get routed at the Lakers on Sunday night for their third loss in as many games.

Denver has held the upper-hand in the recent meetings, winning the last 4 series meetings, while going 2-2 against the spread in those wins.

On paper, laying double-digits look like a ton of points, but remember, things tend to get away quickly in the NBA when you can hoist up a three-pointer anytime down the court.

I will lay it and look for Denver to notch their first win in convincing fashion in front of the home faithful. Sorry Detroit, you will have to wait another night for your first win of the season.
