Friday's Selection ...
For Friday night in college buckets, Raise the Bar 1500♦ on Georgia Tech as the home favorite against the visiting Tulane Green Wave. As of 8:00 am eastern time when I release this selection, Tech is a -5 point favorite over Tulane.
When I say "home" favorite, I do mean HOME favorite, as Georgia Tech reopens their on-campus home court tonight after playing last season's games all over the metro Atlanta area.
Last season also happened to be Brian Gregory's first at the helm, and after going 11-20 for the year, safe to say things will be better this season for the Yellow Jackets.
Gregory knows what he is doing, and getting rid of twice suspended Glen Rice Jr. was a move that showed the team Gregory is the one in charge.
The difference tonight will be along the front line, where Georgia Tech returns their top three big men, and also welcome highly-recruited Robert Carter. With Tulane's bigs not really all that big, look for Gregory to exploit the match ups down low in this arena opening contest.
Tulane went just 3-13 in their loop and finished in last place. They do have plenty of returning experience, but Ed Conroy's team likely won't see the fruits until a little later in the season.
Very important that Gregory opens the new McKamish Pavilion with a win after the debacle that was last season. Win it they do, and win it going away as well.
Lay the wood as Tech takes this one by at least 9-points!

The Mighty Quinn isn't really a tout, just a blogger with a tiny column in the NY Daily News. I've seen other fade threads on him at other forums and the guy does suck, he loves the chalk. He did get hot for awhile and actually went to the plus side but now he's back to losing and is down a lot.
I'm not really interested in starting another fade thread right now. Last year I was tracking like 4 or 5 different touts and it just became too much of a pain in the ass. Maybe if the Adams fade doesn't pan out I might think about another. For the time being Quinn's plays are easy enough to find and fade with or without an actual thread. Maybe somebody else will start one.

For Saturday in college football, 1500♦ Raise the Bar Winner #4 in a Row is going out on Rutgers as the home favorite against the visiting Black Knights of Army. As of 11:00 pm eastern on Friday night when I post my analysis, the Knights are listed as the 17 1/2 point favorites.
Don't read too much into Army's 41-21 home underdog win over Air Force last week, this is not a very good Army team at all, and they will get stymied in a big way versus the Rutgers run defense (4th in the nation).
Rutgers saw their bid for a perfect season get squashed by Kent State the last time they played on October 27th. The extra week off will have Kyle Flood's team eager to atone for that misfire against the capable Golden Flash attack. Army is option-oriented and the extra week of preparation will have Rutgers shutting down the one-dimensional Black Knights.
Army has lost all 3 of their road games this year both straight up and against the spread, and the West Pointers are on an 0-9 straight up and against the spread skid their last 9 versus non-Armed Forces teams.
Rutgers is 8-1 against the spread the last 9 series meetings, winning each of the last 5 meetings over the last 5 seasons. The Scarlet Knights are also on a 5-1 spread run coming into this home game and have roadies at Cincinnati and Pittsburgh up next.
RU's receivers have their way against the smallish Black Knight secondary.

It is a well known fact that I hate blood pudding, and that I also HATE Peyton Manning, but this Sunday afternoon, I am the biggest #18 fan there is!
Denver's 3 losses this season come against 3 division leaders (Falcons, Texans and Patriots), and they are now riding a 3 game win and cover streak as they head to Carolina - the former employer of John Fox!
You think Fox wants to piss all over the Panthers? I do, and I think it will happen.
The Panthers picked up a nice win at Washington last weekend, as Cam Newton quieted the talk about RGIII and himself in that showcase game of young, mobile QB's, but at the end of the day, who do you trust more...Peyton or Cam?
That is really all this game boils down to.
The Panthers are 2-6 against the spread their last 8 at home, while Denver has won and covered their last pair away from the Mile High City.
Carolina has been plenty close in 5 of their 6 losses, and I suspect that is why this price is pretty cheap in my estimdtion.
Denver is going places, Carolina is not.
No issue laying it on the road today.
