He's averaging 26.2 pts, 11 boards, and 8.8 assists the last 5 games. And he's doing this with a hobbled Kyrie Irving, no Love, playing against a stellar Bulls defensive team. You guys are out of your minds. The Bulls would crush the Cavs if they had AD instead of Lebron. Lebron is a game changer, can make any lineup no matter how scrubby in to a contender.

You guys have lost it. It's a good 4-5 years before talking about AD over Lebron. And by then I have a feeling there will be more competition for AD as I think his stock is falling in terms of being a guy that can win with anyone.

I think you've failed to comprehend the question chop asked me. Who would you take going forward, like as an asset until the end of time. Not who is better at basketball on May 12th 2015.

If Kevin Garnett was 22 and in the NBA right now, you would take him over LeBron. That isn't like a grand insult or anything. LeBron is a great player but there are some universal truths in life.

Sheriff Joe is going to intellectually dominate AK and father time is undefeated

Hmmmm ....depends....if I'm a gm looking to win now and then move on...its lebron. All hypothetical anyway so it's hard to really say. I'm thinking its a 50-50 call

That's not what he said at all, he said every GM in the league but the Cavs would take AD right now over Lebron. And you agreed with that. Then when I proved you guys ridiculously wrong and had a good laugh it became a story about the future and long term view.

Sheriff Joe is definitely on your level. So I can see why you think that.

If you had a legit team that was ready to win the next few years and going to die immediately afterward (think Heat w/ Wade) then yes you would take LeBron perhaps. However, if you took AD and were a good GM, you could build that type of team anyway and contend for a lot longer than 2-3 years.

In a hypothetical yea... but in the real world, if any team had a chance to get Lebron they would sell their own children to get him. Not only does he make you an instant contender but the amount of money he brings to the organization is second to none. Even AD can't get the Pelicans on national television. You put Lebron on the Pelicans, they play 35-40 nationally televised games a year. AD is no Lebron. He's in that KD, Leonard, Griffin, Curry argument.

He asked me who I would take and I said AD and I thought it was a pretty easy decision given age. I never thought every single person in the world that has a prominent job in basketball is going to agree with that.

I could definitely see some GMs taking LeBron and obviously from a revenue standpoint definitely a lot of owners. LeBron is a money machine.

There was no goal post moving like you are insinuating.

I'm speechless
Never seen anyone in my entire life have such a difficult time comprehending something.

Not only that he is arguing with himself.

Goes on and on about how what I say is dumb.

Then later on he comes in here and says he slept on it and now agrees with me.

Then the next he comes in here and totally goes back to the original position after saying he changed is mind the day before.

Then after repeating 50,436 times in this thread alone that I DONT think AD is currently better then LJ he still somehow over and over in this thread says that I think AD is better then LJ

How can 1 human being so completely misinterpret virtually every single word I have said in this thread?

It blows my mind.

We are coming up on year 4 with AD already. They are going to try to clean house and start over. He clearly can't win on his own even with decent talent around him. He needs a real superstar to win.

Except you are not being honest. This is what you said...

I was just reminded of that thread at the beginning of the season when I said no NBA would trade AD for LJ then AK basically said I needed to be commited for making such an insane comment.

AD is now the most valuable commodity in the NBA.
100% indisputable

That is 100% disputable and clearly a ridiculous comment. Please apologize for lying and making a statement based on that lie. Thanks!

Obviously there is always going to be subjectivity in sports and in life, Chop is known for hyperbole involving the teams he roots for. I doubt he meant that you can put a gun to his head and then ask all 30 GMs who they would take and then if 1 takes Bron you can pull the trigger. What are you Ted Wells now?

Can you show me in that post where I said AD is a better player then LJ?

Are you honestly too stupid to not know the difference in best player vs most valuable commodity.

Are you really incapable of realizing that you can be the most valuable commodity but not the best player?

Are you really serious dude?

Are you telling me read the above post and thought that that meant I think AD>LJ

Is your reading comprehension really that bad?

No, that's exactly what he meant. He 100% believes that and that the Saints would have the best defense in the NFL and that Roger Gooddell was going to resign. There's definitely some hyperbole in what he says but I truly believe he thinks everyone in the world thinks AD is some future God and they would take him over Lebron James right now.

So if I said no doubt Tom Brady is the best QB in the NFL 100% indisputable, would you then link a survey showing only 40% of GMs think that and tell me I'm an idiot?

Obviously there isn't gonna be 100% consensus on most of this stuff man. Chop knows that, you're just playing semantics.

There's no reading comprehension needed... these are your exact words which started this debate. Nothing about LJ being better than AD. Saying he is the most valuable commodity would imply that teams would want him over Lebron for whatever reasons you want to say. Nothing in there indicates you are talking about 4-5 years down the line when the true superstar is at wheelchair age.

You guys can backtrack all you want. The bottom line is AD has been in the league 3 years, has won 0 playoff games, and only made the playoffs this year because another team lost a player that I would honestly take over AD if I were starting a team.

Clearly in the real world, if GM's had a choice they would take Lebron right now for many reasons. I would rather have Lebron for the next 4-5 seasons than AD for the next 10-12. Not going to lie. He hasn't proven that he can turn a team in to a championship contender on his own. Lebron has.
